It looks like a very nice gun, I'm pretty much set on getting it, but I have one question... it it possible to completely remove any of the RIS rails? I'm just curious, it's not a deal breaker.

@nFixedN I have had one of these for a while and no the rails are not removable. you can replace them with more traditional wood components, but that defeats the purpose of the contractor style. if you want the same gun without rails go for a cm.o28a

@richrocks95 Why would you put a scope on an AK? It simply doesn't have the distance capability to warrant a scope. Go for a red dot quick aim sight or a holographic sight.

@richrocks95 Well it is fine to put a scope on it, but if you do I'd suggest upgrading to a tightbore barrel for better accuracy. and probably .25 gram bbs at least. I would easily spend a hundred dollars or more upgrading this gun.

I can't get my orange tip to come off. I know it has instructions in the Manual to remove it but I can't get the button to press down.  Someone please help

@ajhitter1 The orange tip is glued on use a pair of pliers to twist it off while applying heat from a lighter. remember that it is negatively threaded so twist it clockwise to remove it.

the stock is original i have same gun it is better than he makes it sound i was in some pretty strong wind and bout 125feet from a guy with the iron sight and hit him so its great gun u should buy it

the only problem with that scope is batteries are relatively expensive

and instead of using electrical tape on the pistol grip just get a new one(G27 would match the rest of this well imo) to replace this ugly one

@BattleRatProductions Dude, you do know this gun is Russian? And it's wat company u bought from, not the gun in general. If ur seller makes crappy guns, then it would suck, but if u got it from a good seller, then ur gun would not suck. And besides, this is airsoft. How would you know a gun sucks while in reality, it's a quality gun? Just sayin' I'm not offending u, just stating. Peace.

@timothychong48 ....Thats very obvious... Mikhail Kalashnikov teamed with a deisgner from Germany that they captured who made the MP44, his name was Hugo Schmeisser. Technically you could say the gun design and features are originally German.

@timothychong48 Nooo, the AK-47 is Russian, but this is an airsoft gun MODELED after it that is made by a Chinese manufacturer (CYMA). It's a clone of an ECHO 1 gun, just costs less with lower quality innards, but works the same.

@TheDoubleAwesome for the most part, neither cyma nor echo1 design any guns. cyma copies the design from higher end companies like tm, then echo1 puts a few upgrade parts and the echo1 logo on jg and cyma guns and sells it as echo1. this gun was a somewhat original cyma design, while echo1 designed the asr, tec9, and one or two others. the minigun is a clone

Omg, dude! How in the world were you able to put a scope on top of the batteries? I thought all of the rails of the gun were at the front (where you hold the gun)? Did you add a rail on the top of your batteries just so you could put a scope on it or were you able to put a scope there already? Please Reply!!!!!

Nice review, though I do have a question.

What are your thoughts about the rail system above the receiver cover? I get the feeling that it'd be pretty wobbly and flimsy since you were able to take it off so easily. I'm interested in this AEG and I'd like to know if that part of the gun is sturdy and reliable.

great review i have the same gun but the fps is to high its 495 so i have to downgrade the spring
