Tales of Destiny 2, even though I haven't finished it yet (I'm just after the point where Harold joins the party), I think the story is awesome, it has a great cast of characters including the really epic Judas, awesome battle system, some of my favorite music in the series, plus it doesn't hurt that it's the sequel to my favorite game. ^_^
Abyss used to be tied for my second favorite before I played Destiny 2, but now I would put it just below Destiny 2 and Rebirth.
Mwahahaha! Great fight and guess what, I shall be enjoying this, ToDR, and ToD2 in the near future! I found out I've got 16 dollars, and I'm going to be getting anywhere from 20-30 dollars at the end of the month, so that's enough to get magic swap/magic keys. Then in two-three months time, I'll get ToDR, and then for Christmas, I'll ask for ToR or ToD2.
Well I thought Flash originated from this game to begin with. After all, ToDR is kinda like a spiritual copy of ToR but with different graphics and battle mechanics.
Don't one of these guys let you fly on him after you beat him? When do you fight him?
I'm guessing Hard Mode gives out more exp, which is why I'm at a higher level, there have also been a few times when I'd have to stop and train some in one place because I either ran out of both items and money, or the enemies were to strong to move on yet.
You may already know but harder the mode, more Grades you will obtain. And I just learned that Eaphon and Shao is immune to the rush gage full. The best way to fight against them is use shining ray first and combo him.
Most likely because it's the only Tales game that has a direct storyline link to a previous game (Symphonia and Phantasia are linked I know, but it's not saying much).
God, I hate that back-kick.

Thanks.
It is quite good (tied for my second favorite), however I would say Tales of Destiny (PS2) is better.

Yeah, there definitely is flash in this game. If you watch the Annie vs. Four Stars and Four Stars X2, the player uses flash *HEAVILY* to kick ass.

Thanks, I'll take a look at those. :)

Hahha! Ani Died as she casted Bloody Cross!! Anyway, good job! Once you get Genma Shoureppa and Genma Zanshouken, youll be kicking ass!

There is a boss later on in the game that is tougher (he is some Water Dragon, and he's a tough one too.) :o
Jaymonius 4 years ago
I've just recently fought him, he was quite tough, took a few tries to take him down.
I'll be making a video of it in awhile.

"The Trial" is a pretty good theme, though I thought all this time that it was dungeon music.
And yes, you can get Flash in this game, I've seen some Annie solo videos that use that

Yeah, he's a few bosses ahead, I've already fought him, I just need to make a video of the fight in while.

Ah, okay. I guess I must play at my 2nd playthrough on Hard or Mania mode. :) Cool boss battle, btw!

What would you rate ToR on a scale of 0/10?

So far*
XLightThief 4 years ago
9/10.
It's tied for my second favorite game in the series (with TotA), of course Tales of Destiny (both versions) is my favorite.
The battles in ToR are really fun to play (3 lines and Force Cubes are awesome), and it's got an interesting story with good characters.
Jeffrey6978 4 years ago
Keep in mind, I've yet to really play ToD2 though, and I think I'll probably end up liking it more than ToR.
