  • UHHHH AND UHH THEN LIKE UHHH, UMH UHH WHAT WAS I SAYING UHH!!!!

  • @08SilveradoLT im pretty sure if your call was that important you wouldn't be taking it in your truck, hence why businesses still have meeting rooms

  • haha i dont see the big deal...

  • I don't know about quiet steel. I'm more concerned about quality steel.

"Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. Look at the frames, see Toyota's rust".

  • DeadofWinter321......

    Fuck you homo.

  • This guy says "uh" a lot.

  • Ford is definatly turning things around with there quality. I just hate when they try to brag and say there the best, when the only reason why they did so is to keep them selfs from going bankrupt, and there are other car sompanys who are good and have been for years.

  • F150 now has a 6.2L engine available with 425hp/450tq. Toyota has enough trouble making tailgates. Once they get that right, maybe a stronger engine will follow.

  • Ford + GM's market cap is 13 Billion combined, Toyota is at 138 Billion. When you talk about autos and base ball you are talking Japanese! Facts and cheep talk are two different things!

  • TOYOTA- Market cap $111,000,000,000.00 That is one hunderd and eleven BILLION, and we're not in the best of times yet! Could someone put up some figures for the combined BIG 3

  • The total for the Combined big 3 would be ahead of Toyota by tons considering that GM Is the worlds Second biggest Auto maker, only selling about 260,000 vehicles less then Toyota for 2008.

  • i just want one , and it appears that the new fords are the best ALL around tests thats the facts !check out the toyota in the bed bounce test , not very good .

  • Toyota is also having problem with sales, they are cutting production for a 2 weeks to a month. The plant in San Antonio let the Tundra plant shut down for 3 months because their trucks were not selling. So before talking shit about the big "3" look your shit up. Ass Clowns.

  • Toyota plant here in Arkansas just closed down.. 130 people laid off.

  • Do you see the Japs doing this sought of crap! Ford your product should reflect your numbers, you should have not end up in the capital begging for my money to stay alive. Build it to fly and the Japs will make it better. Making low blows and making money are two different things! Toyota will be around for the next 100 yrs, can't say the same for BIG 3!

  • F150 out sells the Tundra. WONDER FUCKING WHY!?!?

What you mean by this is that Toyota can't come up with their own ideas.

Toyota lost 8 billion in the first quarter. Ford lost 1.

  • F150 outsells the Tundra because they are considerably cheaper (reg cab) and they practically give them away in fleet deals.

Do you really want to compare the fiscal security of Ford and Toyota right now? I mean, we can do it, just let me know and I'll dig in.

  • My point is that Fords is making better sales... and even when Ford comes back they come back to a stronger market. Like GM they will come bankruprtpcy out chapter 11

  • Roushfan, your point made little sense. Ford has always made better sales than anyone in the 1/2 ton truck market. Them leading in sales of 1/2 ton trucks is DEFINETLY not a sign of a strong company. They led in sales back when they were losing $10-15 billion a year.

What does "Like GM they will come bankruprtpcy out chapter 11 " mean?

Ford didn't file for Chapter 11.

  • Because my reply was rushed, looking back on it I should have waited until I had more time but OH WELL.

My comments on the sales on the F series in general wasn't to imply that they are better off then Toyota. What my point is they are selling more car then Toyota PERIOD at the moment, not in trucks, SUVs, and crossovers. Just flat out selling them for three months in a row.

Ford lost 1 billion, thats a HUGE number, however Toyota lost 8 billion dollars of the first quarter of 09.

  • That also comes off of Ford pulling a net profit of 100mill in the first quarter of 08 before the shit hit the fan. Ford was well on their way to recovery. With superior quality ratings then Toyota in many key areas. Toyota also joins the list of companies scaling back productions, as several other comments have mentioned.

Also pardon me for saying that Ford filed for Chapter 11. I am assuming that things won't pic up in time for Ford to prevent bankruptcy. Not with the shape things are in.

  • No, then your a Dodge fan. Expect for the Cummins engine.

  • Once again, unfortunately the quality and reliability of the Tundra is higher across the board than the F150.

I wonder if they did a towing test that day. Or possibly a hauling test, what about a 1/4 mile test? Perhaps they did a braking demonstration, or an test involving interior space. They could have done an overview of safety features or even a look at resale value. What about transmission sizes, did they cover that?

  • Sounds like wiki is threatened by the F-150.

  • The ford would have won them all... expect for the the 1/4 mile test, but who gives a fuck about that in a truck? If you do, by the roush f150. Problem solved.

  • Really Roushfan? The 2007 (that's the year in this video) F150 (all models) tows less, is slower, takes more distance to brake, has less interior space, less safety features a smaller transmisison and a lower resale value than the 2007 Tundra (all models).

The only thing the F150 has is a higher hauling rating... but when you throw in the other areas it lacks in, notably engine, tranny and brakes, that hauling rating doesn't really make sense.

  • But I don't give a fuck about 2007, its a dead year, dead issue. Besides the 2007 Tundra was a new player, not the three year old design of the Ford. Today's Fords offer a bigger cab. Also a smaller transmission has nothing to do with how well it behaves. To big of a tranny, and it shifts to often anyway. Ford has a BULLET proof engine, a good tranny, and a better trailer control system. NEXT!

  • Roush, if you don't care about 2007 then you should not have replied to a comment made about 2007 trucks. You replied to my comment and said I was wrong... my comment was in regards to 2007/2008 trucks... therefore YOU were wrong.

Furthermore, the F150 does not have a bigger cab thean the CrewMax, the engine DEFINETLY is not bulletproof (it was a part of the largest recall in automotive history son) and the F150 doesn't have 4 channel ABS brakes, how does it have better trailer control?

  • The breaking system is designed better, I don't need or have to why, just look it up and educate yourself. Then maybe you won't say such stupid shit!

I am quoting the professionals about the bullet proof? Are you talking about the cruise control? Thats a 5 second fix at a Ford dealer, What about 800,000+ trucks that Toyota is recalling because of frame rust, V6 engine sludge. ECT, fucking ECT.

  • "The breaking system is designed better, I don't need or have to why"

HAHAH! That is hilarious. So because you say it is better that means it is?

The Tundra has 4 channel independent ABS brakes Roush. That means the Tundra can individually brake any wheel at any time. The F150 has 3 channel brakes, that means it CANNOT brake any wheel individually at any time.

That's me KNOWING the why, your welcome for the info. Smarts.

  • That 5 second fix didn't happen on a number of vehicles... and those vehicles BURNED hours after the car was shut off.

I was not aware that the current engine Tundra had 800,000+ trucks recalled because of frame rust...

My comment was in regards to the CURRENT 5.4 L. You discussing recalls from 10 years ago is quite hilarious.

If you want to compare recall rates of the 07-09 Tundra and the 04-08 F150 I would be more than willing.

The Tundra had about 1/10 the issues that the F150 did.

  • dude give up toyota trucksare useless and gay

  • The stock Tundra is actually faster than the Roush F150... and it is still a more capable truck than the stock F150.

That's called the best of both worlds Roushfan. That's what makes the Tundra such an unbelievable truck.

  • Not around a track its not.

Snapped cam shafts, rotted through frames due to rust. Sub par 17 MPG rating (HEY! A NEW Tundra could be used for cash for clunkers.) sub par towing rating, sub par cab, sub par bed.

Its just a sub par truck.

Besides I would rather PUSH a Ford then DRIVE that ugly POS you call a truck. Now be gone, I have more important matters then you to attend to.

  • Roush, you clearly don't know what you are talking about.

20 Tundra's had snapped camshafts. 20 out of 500,000 trucks produced.

The Tundra's fuel tested fuel economy is equal to that of the F150's, and it has SIGNIFICANTLY more power. The Tundra's tow ratings is right up there with everyone elses. In fact, for two years it was the highest tow rating available (overall).

The Tundra is still better set up to be a truck, it all comes down to the engine and tranny in the end.

  • ahhh..we meet again ,,,that 20 trucks your talking about is reported 20 .....there are more out there then the 20 reported ...and let that toytoa engine out there for a while and see how it fairs out..

and i am sure all the US auto makers building trucks are going to op thee anty

do you believe they will sit and watch this happen..i am sure they will keep there serpremacy ...and how many years has yota been making v8's??

  • 390, if you have information supporting your claim that it was more than 20 trucks then please present it. 20 is what was documented... you can claim it was whatever number you want, but you have nothing to back that claim up.

The Tundra 5.7 is a better engine than the Ford 5.4. If you have ANY thoughts otherwise you are 100% kidding yourself.

  • now is that anyway for old friends to say hello?...and sorry i dont have the proof you are looking for in my back pocket, but my good friend that works at that local yota dealer has told me they had 3 trucks with broken cams ..sorry it didnt make the JDpower list for that ...so if this one dealership had more cams to work on ..i am sure there are more out there undocumented in the country that didnt make the list

  • Claims are great 390. It seems everyone has a "friend who works at the local Toyota dealership", and they all seem to say the same thing, that Toyota's suck. Seems a little weird to me!?

I've got proof, you don't... end of story.

As for the driver on the highway comment, I never said they people that drove Tundra's were great drivers. I'm sure there are more than a few out there (just like any other vehicle) who shouldn't be on the road, much less while towing a load.

  • well like i said..i do there towing you can believe that or not , but anyway ..if you dont believe anything i ever said then just hop in what ever you drive and take a ride down your local interstate and watch how many trucks are dragging a trailer behind them ...then take notice to how many import trucks are doing the same...

and i will give you that one ..there are some ppl that shouldnt tow anything , but it sure did look like that guy was having a hard time with that yota

  • You know what, if that makes you feel better go ahead and think that.

But its going to be better for you if you let us real truck guys do the talking now.

Besides that STILL leaves the shitty frame, shitty bed, and STILL worse MPG and towing rating the Ford AND Chevy.

I thinks it YOU that doesn't know what he is talking about.

  • Hey, let me know when these "real truck guys" show up. I'd love to hear an answer a little more reasonable than "I don't know why its better, but I say its better, so its better."

Keep talking though, it's making you look brilliant.

  • ok..one showed up..so i will thro you a bone here..ok.....all of us will let you have your good yota..ok..but..do you really think the other truck manufacture's will sit by and let them get walked on?...funny..i was on interstate 81..and i nearly got sideswipped by a yota towing..or trying to tow a camper..it was all over the road at just 50...JDpower wasnt around , no one with cameras's ,,and it was all over the road all by its self ..so..good for toyota

yep..they are superior all the way

  • OMG, Ford made a full size cereal box toy truck!

  • FORD FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have seen and used this steel, not plastic, in dishwasher applications and now looking at motor yachts. It is really amazing.
