Can someone explain how the near 500 Million views of the Justin Bieber's video compare to this...i DON'T KNOW WHY THIS DOESN'T HAVE AT LEAST 100 MILLION VIEWS....ask yourself this question while listening to this song........
My friend asked me about 5 years ago out of the blue "what was that song called where the guy said Loraine had a smile on her face or something like that? you put it on one of your mix tapes" I told her what it was and that I still have the vinyl. What a goosebumps moment...
@FEARsystem89 Kind of similar, but this song predates it by quite a few years! The original version was with Beth Orton - check out "Yesterdays Gone" from the Superpinkmandy album ;)
@FEARsystem89 Way earlier than Ray of Light. Matter of fact, way earlier than Strange Cargo IV. Original was on Orton's Superpinkymandy. IMHO, this was the best of any "alternate" takes, easily.
Loved Wills early stuff with Torchsong. had Wish Thing on Vinyl. First heard it on John Peel at 11pm on night. Yep, Cargo3, Hinterland, Regions. His alter stuff seems to have faded. BTW Will was also Bass-O-Matic - absol love "Fascinating Rythm" - Top Guy and Britains Secret Weapon Producer! Aslo see Spill with Beth Orton and their version of John Martins "Dont wann know bout evil!"
Stunning track! Hinterland is my favourite of the Strange Cargo albums. I recently found an Orbit/Mayer/Conning album from 1995 called 'Toward The Unknown Region' by Torch Song. Well worth a listen.
This tune is from the fourth album in the Strange Cargo series, called Hinterland, which came out in 1995; yeah its that far back; the rest of the album is similarly deep and full of ambience and atmosphere, a treat with the headphones on ! The album Pieces you refer to was a later 2000 release.
Definitely worth checking out is his Hello Waveforms album from a few years ago; he just released a new one too that I think I need to download tonight called "My Oracle Lives Uptown". Search for Optical Illusions to hear the track.
Yes, "Flying Saucers" is at the top of my list along with "They Live in the Sky".
I ended up getting the CD too - 4 extra tracks, can't pass that up. What do you think? I like it very much, especially the first half. The title track might be my favorite. Did you catch the KCRW bit? You can listen to it on their website if you haven't yet. I live near LA and thought about camping out at KCRW to try to get William to sign a CD or something but I didn't have time - oh well!
superb. the last few minutes with the voice over are incredibly atmospheric. anybody know if its from a film or the lyrics specially created for this song?
The lyrics are from a radio show. I can't remember the guys name right now. I'll find out and post up the details. The whole story is pretty strange....but good!
Wow, great! I was looking ALL over for this song! He had it up for a really short time on his myspace, but took it down and I never found it again. Thanks!
I worship in the Temple of Orbit.

And Lorraine would have a smile on her face that made her look a little crazy. Like she had a secret that no-one else knew.
I liked watching her.
