Yes it's one of those forgotten songs on that "Biograph" album which also had "Lay down your weary tune" among others, but I do agree this is a splendid version
I think you have to be really hurting as Dylan was when he sang this at the Gaslight to really get the true meaning & the tragedy of this song across! It's a great cover, but I can hear Dylan in the back of my head wailing out the words as I listen to this.
Dylan would approve. He's said he doesn't know how one can get enjoyment from someone elses pain, but we relate our pains to his & enjoy the ride.
