I attended my first drag racing event today in Baytown, TX. It was the most fun I have ever experienced. I never imagined how loud these cars are in person, you can feel the horsepower inside of your body.
Mad props to the Safety Safari guys who were there almost before the car stopped. If they wouldn't have been there, John would have been a lot worse off than he is now. :D

@popz01251947 You can see one haul the fattest ass into the back end of the car. If you watch very closely you can see less timing block on the exit of the other side of Johns car. My guess is it nailed his car and caused enough damage for the rear end to fail. I guess we'll never know for sure, but i would bet anything that is exactly what caused the crash.
Good grief. I just saw The John Force race team on the freeway yeaterday in Post falls Idaho.. I saw that if he would of missed Kenny he would of hit the wall at a direct 90 degrees. Thank God it happened the way it did. I'm so sorry this happened. Great safety equipment and crew. So happy to hear both are OK. Frickin amazing. I hope John is ok now. He's headin' for the NHRA in Seattle. I hope you win John and Ashley. Love your work. Keep winning.

this is not in Dallas, it always says Dallas on tv, but its in Ennis, about 30 miles south of Dallas, i live five minutes from the track and was there that day, but unfortunately was at the bathroom when this happened
pro-stocks are stick shift - f/c and t/f arent really "sticks" but they do have to apply the clutch manually -
as for pro-stock beating funny cars and dragsters - lol - no way - pro-stcoks run the 1/4 mile in about 7 seconds - usually a lil over 200mph - f/c and t/f run the 1/4 in 4.5 seconds (depending on weather and track conditions) they hit around 320mph. go see a race in person if possible - its sumthing else!
He Dick Fuck the clutch is applied via the computer in front of the driver on a top fueler. Im not that stupid dumb ass. Also theres no way prostocks could beat a top fuel because thers more hp in 2 cylinders than the whole P/S motor dumb fuck
at least john is back to racing. this team has been through alot with Eric medlens crash at gainsville that took his life a week after and some of the crashes that has happened to the other drivers.
as the car breaks apart, and the drivers section seperates and goes towards the wall...if you look close you can see his legs dangling in the air as the driver section tumbles and hits the wall....wow, I love John Force best hospital in dallas is baylor medical center.

Look for John to get back in the car and race at the Winternationals next year. He will take the time he needs to get better but the champion racer will be back before we realize he is out. Ashley to win it all 2008. How ironic is it that both john and Ashley were doing well during the day kinda like how earnhardt senior was right behind his 2 cars when he crashed ?!?!?!

As many times as I have looked at this video it looks like one or two of the timing blocks that went into John's lane caused the accident.
The only way to be sure is if there is a video from behind the cars showing the block(s) did not touch John's Funny Car.

was at the race on 9-23-07 and just arrived home. At the track they played (1) video about 3 hours after the accident and did not replay it. Texas Motorplex should be ashamed by not running the replay sooner and often at the track. EVERYONE at the track was upset by the lack of information provided by the Texas Motorplex after the incident. They lost alot of future ticket sales including mine by censoring this mishap to paying customers at the track.

Look for John to get back in the car and race at the Winternationals next year. He will take the time he needs to get better but the champion racer will be back before we realize he is out. Ashley to win it all 2008. How ironic is it that both john and Ashley were doing well during the day kinda like how earnhardt senior was right behind his 2 cars when he crashed ?!?!?!
