People are forgetting how big California is. California is a very very big diverse state, so an individual's experience will differ from another even though both of them live in the same state.
Most of CA has gone down the crapper. Been looking for a job for 5 months now non stop, and like to think I have a good resume... Just need to be patient I guess.
On another note, I find it funny how LA is always portrayed as a good city when only about 15% of it 'looks' impressive. The other 85% is just a pile of crap with yellow smog over head all year round. Lets not forget the crime rate. Can't go 2 days without having your trash can tagged either.
@argottobob The crime rate of LA is not among the worst. Graffiti is also down. I've never had my trash can tagged. My air is clean, though probably because I live near the coast.
I think the biggest problems are rising taxes and way too spend city (and state) spending, with many tax dollars going to the tolerated illegal immigrants.
I don't think people point the finger at the actual problems. Crime isn't the problem for the most part and neither is the smog.
Communities built based on mutual understanding of residents involved in their local government. Only if you explain yourself effectively in the 3 minutes provided during the public comments portion of a planning commission, or council meeting. Why in the first shot do we see a vast open place 'without' high rise buildings, then zoomed in on an 11 story mirror. If this is where the residents work, is everyone going to be living under the ground?
@KillaSerg92 The Mayan calendar ends in 2012 because the stone carver died, with his apprentice, in an avalanche trying to get another stone to carve.

I really doubt 2030 will look like an utopia of those sorts for LA.
