While SOME Arabs fled their homes in in response to warnings from souring Arab countries to do so, many of them were in fact expelled. This was an essential part of Zionism. How else would they have created a Jewish state on land that was majority Arab? Also the Jewish refugees were a result of similar reasons, many of them voluntarily to live in the newly created Jewish state, expelled and fear of reprisal from Arabs.

let me explain something. I believe palestinains need a state at this point. But i don't believe they want a state I believe they basically want israel gone and they are pretty open about it. Until the middle east get's over their unwillingness for their to be a small jewish precence in the region there simply wont be peace. The history is clear. It isnt about israel its about a majoriy jewish state in the middle east. Lebannon used to be christian majority look at it now.

While SOME Arabs fled their homes in in response to warnings from souring Arab countries to do so, many of them were in fact expelled. This was an essential part of Zionism. How else would they have created a Jewish state on land that was majority Arab? Also the Jewish refugees were a result of similar reasons, many of them voluntarily to live in the newly created Jewish state, expelled and fear of reprisal from Arabs.

Yes I do. The bible says similar things and Timothy McVeigh certainly thought he was on a mission from God. I am a practicing Catholic. Some of my closest friends are Moslem from all over the Islamic world. They have yet to kill me or even attempt such a thing. As a matter of fact, I have often felt more welcomed by them than by fellow Christians. I can't quote bible verses nor quran verses, but I have history and my own personal experiences to back me up. @HybridD91 Much terror is secular, you could make the argument, which I certainly would, that Israel is terrorizing the Palestinian population. Especially since the end of the 2nd Intifada in 2005, Palestinian terrorism has been reduced to two things, 1) Symbolic rocket attacks that cause little to no damage or 2) Peaceful protests such as those that go on in Nabi Saleh (good youtube vid on those protests). Israel has over-reacted and has resulted in far more Palestinian deaths.

The deaths of Palestinians in relation to Israeli deaths since 2000 is far greater. In calling this an over-reaction I believe I am justified. There have been 17 deaths due to Palestinian attacks on Israel between 2009 and 2010.

Here are literacy rates for some Arab states: Iraq - 74.1%, Egypt - 71.4%, Kuwait - 93.3%, Lebanon - 87.4%, Saudi Arabia - 78.8%. Also, I would like to point out that while Israel did withdraw from South Lebanon and Gaza, Israeli deaths due to rocket attacks have been minimal yet Palestinian deaths have been atrocious. Israel does have a right to defend itself but its responses are way out of proportion to the "provocations" offered by a people militarily unable to possess anything like the IDF's power projection abilities. When you send tanks to attack people peacefully protesting, who is the real "terrorist?"

Were there good points to this video? Yes. It is a hundred percent true that Arab states such as Jordan have not made Palestinians citizens. However, I must contend one of the first main points of this video, that being that the land was never arab land. The Ottomans Empire allowed for private landholdings as well. The issue over Arab land is the Israeli government forcibly evicting, and bulldozing, Palestinian private homes, many of which have deeds dating back to the Ottoman days.

Regarding your new point: it's now a consensus amongst historians that the Ottoman empire was the major imperial player that stuck M.E. nations in the dark ages - not western powers which actual rule of the area was partial and short lived. One of the empirical evidence for that is that other past colonies had taken different courses (with a few places in Africa being an exception).

The Mughals ruled India for hundreds of years, they were a Moslem dynasty ruling over a Hindu-majority population and they were able to do it peacefully for the most part. Also, Christians make up about 4% of the Palestinian population in both the occupied territories and in Israel itself. Christians, Jews and Zoroastrians are "peoples of the book" in the Quran and are recognized by Islam
