I've got two questions if I may, and I'd love your advice....1st, with sweeping, do you need to push the pick at right angles to the strings, i.e. pick in the same place on every string, or do you let the arm open normally? 2nd, would you recommend sweeping over the fingerboard when you're gonna do tapped top notes? i ever got the problem that when i play thos sweeping arpeggios (very slow..i'm a begginner at this stuff) i ever got much other nois of the strings. how can i mute them as good as he does?

@Thorshammer172 turn the distortion back to the point where you go "this is too little distortion", which is usually just the right amount, use the neck pickup settings, work on light touch at the same time as practicing sweep..and some people call this "noob tactic", but IMHO whatever works *WORKS*....learn to keep the side of your hand "palm mute karate chopped" on the appropriate strings at the appropriate times until you really get the feel for it like second nature.

don't you just love how larger people tend to be the better musicians. my band director from middle school was really good at trumpet, and he was BIG. He was constantly sweating, he kept a rag at all times, and the band hall was always COLD AS HELL! Look at Michael Romeo, hes a big guy, and he's a master of tapping and sweeping. and this guy pretty good too. very great technique.
