  • wad the fark is going on here?

all the essays and crap -_-

    k so i m a malaysian and i m a chinese so wut do u want to know?

  • u obviously dunno wut u r talking about... u just talk based on wutever happen nowadays as the wake of political turmoil that just happen... u should look more into historical perspective to understand about all racial background in malaysia... why suddenly the world want to point to malaysia has been discriminative whereas all over the world did it... u go to the china and india, they even discriminate each other... so why u outsiders bother about malaysia only? just mind ur own business... tq

  • I am not personally attacking Malaysia. It was part of an assignment that looks at human rights violations of many different countries. In this video I am particularly dealing with Malaysia as one country out of many as an example of one that has Human Rights violations and concerns. It is not particularly bad in my opinion when compared to other countries... even the United States. They all have their faults and concerns. Bringing them to light I believe is the first step in alleviating them.

  • if u r not personally attacking malaysia then why the only video u post here is about malaysia? is it bcos u want to take advantage of wut we r dealing rite now? why don't u post some videos about the other countries as well so that u r really 'not personally attacking malaysia' and 'think its not particularly bad compared to other countries'? i'm waiting for ur other videos... tq

  • You still do not understand. It was part of a school assignment in which I was assigned the country of Malysia. Other people in the class are doing other countries.

That is why MY only video is Malaysia, but other people did videos, powerpoints, and papers on many other countries as well.

I'd be happy if you'd like to share your opinion on Human Rights in Malaysia and what you think of the governmnet. Please share with me.

  • Malaysians have the freedom of religion, except Muslims. If a Muslim (especially Malay) wants to change his/her religion, or chooses to be free from any religion, he/she would face a law system that will never grant them their wishes, period. That is why most Malay Muslims who wanted to denounce Islam chose to keep it a secret so that he/she could be accepted in the society and live without crossing the line of law.

  • Exactly the point I was trying to make. How it is difficult to change from Muslim is wished, especially for the Malay. The fact that they choose to keep their beliefs a secret so they can fit in in the society is exactly what I'm stabbing at. Thank you for some of the background, it is very helpful to help understand exactly why things are the way they are.

  • I hope my opinion helps..

  • Sorry but can you explain the opinion your trying to give to Malaysia?? The vedio seems like you hate Muslims...But i really din't get the message of yours..

  • I do not hate Muslims at all! I have many friends that are Muslims! The point of the class I am taking is to unwrap the issues of Human Rights of different countries... the purpose of my video was as a presentation to that class, narrating what I've found in my research of what people think are the main concerns of Human Rights and violations thereof in Malaysia... because Malaysia is the country I was assigned to research...

  • Well to tell you the truth, i kind of hate the goverment right now cause there fighting over power. But i love my country so much cause not a lot of country is as peacful as Malaysia. I just love the beauty of Malaysia and everyday i go to school, there is always a beautiful sunrise. I wanted to make a vedio about it but i don't know how.

Oh yes, i would definitly like to share my opinion to you cause its your assigment right. Please be my friend!!!

  • How does the governments fighting over power affect the citizens? I am interested in your opinion. Also, how do you feel about the Internal Security Act in Malaysia's constitution? Do you feel it is fair that some people go to prison for critisizing the government? I am interested in a first hand point of view... any opinion you could share would be wonderful. Thank you for offering to reply with some of your thoughts. Talk to you soon.

  • Well firstly the goverment fighting over power is an embarasment to our country, and everyday i watch the news its always about it.About the ISA the goverment is trying to avoid any unessary situation. Actually thats my mothers answer cause i really do not know what Internal Security Act means. I'm only 16. Plus my mom said its a dangerous question. How do i feel about critisizing the goverment, i think they should overlook about what there critisizing of, so we could have a better country.

  • so to go further. I am basically trying to make the point that the Malaysian constitution, and the Malaysian government allow for the detainment of prisoners who the government deems as a threat to the country, without trial and for an undetermined amount of time as they see fit. Many people, a lot of them from Western society, believe this is a Human Rights concern, as well as many people in Malaysia. On the other hand, some people think it is a necessary action for the security of the state.

  • Personally, I have not come to a conclusion at what side I am on fully... I can see where it is useful for the government's security... but many times governments that use such tactics (even the United States government) have their own agenda's as a reason for their motives. This is why I'm leaning more towards it being a violation of Human Rights.

At this point, I would love it if you would share your opinion from a first hand view of Malaysia. Let me know what you think and if it is a concern

  • you have absoulutly no right to say anything about Malaysia. It's a country of peace. let me give you a little explaination. Malay is not truly Malay, cause a large number of it is a decsended from chines indians britian, and many more. The real malaysian is the native. My malay friends told me they have diffrent decendes. If you know Malaysia's history a bit more you might know why....Critisizing my country who do think you are!!!!

  • I apologize for offending you. I am working strictly off what I believe are facts from scholarly sources. I am not critisizing the people of Malaysia, or the country as a whole... I am just talking about the Human Rights concerns that

  • many believe are pressing issues... this would be a problem for the government to address within itself, then again, if necessary... you, as a Malaysian citizen I presume seem to have no problem with the country, and perhaps you don't, as I do not with the United States... though others around me have plenty to critisize... and criticism is not a bad thing at all. The purpose of Anthropology is to look at different view points... a friend of mine from Malaysia in the United States

  • also loves Malaysia and has nothing bad to say about it... it is simply a difference of opinion. Perhaps you can jump out of the box a little and view things from a different perspective?

  • Sorry i din't mean to be rude, i'm only 16, and a Malaysian, i din't really undertsand either your saying bad things about malaysia or good things about it. I think Malaysia is the most peacful country i have ever leaved. There are so many diffrent people around hear that i just want to be friends with all of them. I love my Muslim friends and non muslim friends.

  • Great, I would gladly be your friend. I'm glad you can see now that I myself am not against Muslims, but that the country is rather unfair to Muslims. They in turn, have less rights in one point of view, because Muslims must follow certain guidelines that those of other religions do not. Then again, the Muslims of Malaysia do feel honored as the majority of the nation to be held at a higher standard in their point of view. What is your opinion on the government right now? Why don't you like it?
