  • Hi!. I have just bought an obitsu head and I am going to customise it. I have a question that needs answering . Do you have to wear a face mask when applying pastel to the face?

  • @MyCatIsASexyBeast No just apply it like blush. For sealing yes do wear a mask and do it in an open space.

  • @EeveelutionStorm Oh x3 Thanks. I'm pretty stupid and new to this :D

  • @MyCatIsASexyBeast Your welcome and your not stupid. Everyone has to start off somewhere. ^^ If you got anymore questions just send me a PM or check out this really awesome site called Dollieh Sanctuary they have a lot of great tips and everyone there is really nice. (Nothing like Den of Angels I swear it.) May I ask you this though...Is that Pullip in your avatar yours? She's so adorable!

  • @EeveelutionStorm ha! thanks :)

  • @fluffluver I have two Pullips on Obitsu bodies and they ARE articulated but they are not ball jointed. Anyone with an Obitsu who isn't a complete idiot knows that. Ball jointed dolls have just that--Ball joints. I also have a sister with six ball jointed dolls. She and I can confirm the significant difference in the joints.

  • So cute!

  • I HAVE A Q PLEASE ANSWER!!!!!! when you paint the paints on the face well the paint sealer do u put it over where u painted or do u put it over the whole head.

  • usually you use a mat finish clear coat, like Mr. Super Clear.

  • one thats easily available in the US is testors dullcoat

    thats what i use

  • over the whole head.

  • I like obitsu dolls and other dolls similar to it. When it comes to painting the face, no artist's style looks a like. Each artist is different and that's the great charm of BJDs.

  • Obitsus are not ball-jointed dolls. They're very different.

  • @CountFishtick They are jointed with a ball so no, you are wrong. All obitsu lovers/owners can prove you wrong.

  • @CountFishtick i have one and i lost her foot xD

  • what do u use to paint over the paint, srry im not like really specific, but ummn you cant just paint on the face and leave it like that, you have to put something on it after, what is that if its not a certan thing, then what do u use, and is it cheap because, im living off of my alouince, that i get once every year.

  • beutifully done!

  • thankyou so much

  • your welcome!

  • waaaa that song is so cute! whats the name of it?? ^^

  • its music box by nici a online singer and artist

  • what kin of pants art you using? and also what are agents like mr. super clean used for?

  • i use your basic arylice pint youcan get at anystore and pastels and mr super clean i used to seal figures toys art work and ect

  • im using pastels which are the chalk kind no soft or oil kind. i also use arylic paints i use dilluted walmart kinds and hobby lobby im not as picky as some people i like using model master and msc sealers. and i do paint dolls on commission work basis.

  • I was just wondering if anyone can help me, I've just painted my first Obitsu head but I don't know how you seal the paint after you've finished?, I've seen cans of spray sealant on Junky Spot but I did'nt know how the finish would be, would it be glossy or wouldnt it show at all after it dries?. Any help would be much apreciated ^-^

  • i use msc from junkyspot make sure it says flat or flat uv coat. if not model masters. you need to spray a couple of feet away from the head so it doesnt go on to heavy and in light mist.

  • Thankyou very much for your help! ^-^

  • Excellent!! 0__0

  • thankyou so very much glad you enjoyed!

  • woah, that's pretty cool. it was cool to watch the process. it turned out nicely.

  • thankyou for saying so glad you enjoyed it ^_^ *hugs*
