Actually when I was visiting IU people in the dorms asked the cops for permission to have drinks inside and they said as long as you keep it inside. They dont inforce not drinking AT ALL.

wtf? the greek system is not that big on campus. not everybody goes out unless you're in the northwest neighborhood where all the jocks and idiots live. and 3x normal living expenses? don't think so.

do you go to Indiana? The university is wonderful but the greek life is amazingly stereotypical and over the top. Mommy and daddy are willing to pay 3x the normal living expenses of a person living off campus so their kids can drink Keystone light 5 nights a week and haze each other...c'mon now

yeah im going this fall. i dont think i will be joining a frat, i dont want to be around all of those stuck up frat guys. is it still pretty easy to go to parties and all that if you dont know someone in the greek system.

You are truly ignorant to the facts. Let's compare a sophomore GDI to a sophomore Greek in terms of cost.  Once you pay for rent at the Villas or anywhere else, food, alcohol, the costs are similar. Have fun with all the dudes at the Villas playing beer pong bitching about that all the girls are now at the frats.
