Impossible to do a live rendition of an impeccable Egan/Ure studio production, anyway. Steve Strange - the exquisite and well spirited fashion canvas/mannequin/projectionist extraordinaire, no less. His gloves on the pulse at the London Blitz and elsewhere. Met him as early as '77 at the Mont-de-Marsan Punk Festival, later at the X-shop(?) in his nazi uniform.

Visage were the studio project of key members of Ultravox and Magazine. The key word there is studio. Steve Strange was nothing special in 1980, and certainly isn't after decades of heroin abuse.

I liked the performance. You have to realize that an original 80's concert will sound spare and primitive by today's standards. That's the beauty of it. Today's production techniques will have samples, loops, digitization etc. Listen to this again, it's spare and beautiful.

Its true that Midge ( later to be ULTRAVOX ) Ure was in Visage at the start, & invited Billy Currie from Ultravox to help out, thats how ULTRAVOX came to link with midge when original singer John Foxx left in 1979.However Billy & Midge decided to concentrate on ULTRAVOX work, & disconnected themselves from visage, so Visage material, while linked to the mighty ULTRAVOX, isnt really able to be described as ''left overs'' as one member of this site posted.
