@jagsmokey I think what Fordmanmal was getting at was that the human voice (especially male voices) don't really reach full potential until the mid-20's. In fact, from the ages of 25-35 are the years that the voice develops and changes the most. That's why a lot of younger singers end up ending their careers early; they don't take care of their instrument and by the time they're in their prime, they'd practically destroyed it.

Thus, the birth of The Righteous, as well black djs in the 50's began to the call them "The Blue Eyed Soul Brothers"

However the very first white band ever to hit number 1 on the r&b charts was The Skyliners with "Since I Don't Have You.
