Happy marathoning (spell check says there is no such word as marathoning, but there should be).

    :)

  • I wanted a recipe to use the lemon cake mix I had in the cabinet. I knew you would have one. LOL Thanks.

  • Is that a lemon cake mix I just now made it and it taste like a orange cake mix

  • you bake from your heart (and that sweet spot in your stomach)...i love baking...

  • @PinkGlitteryStars Baking is my most favourite kind of cooking. My son always says he likes my desserts because I put extra love in them just for him.

  • Ohh soooo goooooood

  • @JaniceMaiden666 These are good! Things with cream cheese usually are, lol!

  • great video weldome

  • @khunchaa Thanks!

  • where did you get this recipe?

  • @pinkiepandaXD Somewhere on-line I believe or maybe from cake mix recipe book by Betty Crocker called "cake mix magic"

  • @pinkiepandaXD I just read my own description box, it says that I found it on-line. I did a google search for "recipes from cake mixes" and several came up including this one. Don't remember which site.

  • This looks great! Looks like I have to substitute a lot of the things with a vegan product. =)

  • OHH Tammy this looks so yummy. Is there a better food on earth then cheesecake?

My moms cheesecake always cracks and we all ways say that's how we know it's going to be good LOL.

  • Oh yummmmm I love love love Cheesecake!;-p

  • Hey Tammy hope 2010 is treating you and the family good so far. Love the new blog and this "cake mix" recipes are fun. This one looks especially yummy. : )

  • The crust was chewy-tough. Not unpleasant tasting, but not quite tender enough.

  • oh wow love the measuring cups you have! this sounds really good!

  • The measuring cups were found at a yard sale! They are my favourite one. thanks Diana

  • Wonderful recipe! I hope that you are getting enough sleep. Talk to you soon! Love you!

  • Love you!

Nightshifts are going okay, all is well. Talk to you soon.

  • My weight loss program was doing okay until you got to the second bowl. EEEEK!!

I have a fetish for cream cheese and cheescake, and I did NOT need to see those two big slabs of it diving into the bowl. Sigh...

Based on your critique, I'd consider baking the crust at no more than 275° - 300°, to just firm it into the beginnings of cake before adding the topping, since it tended to overcook.

    Worthy of experimenting...

  • Hi Moosie! That's exactly what I'd recommend, baking the crust just so it is firmed up. I would even try to make it without baking the crust first, something that would have to be tried.

I have a similar weakness for cream cheese. :)

  • Oh boy! This one is a winner! I could not make it just for me (or maybe I could!!) but it would be great to take to a family get together! Thanks Tammy!!! xo

  • Hi Barb!

It makes a huge dessert. I ended up throwing out about 1/4 of it because it didn't get eaten fast enough.

  • Love you're quick & easy recipes. I have the best neighbor who helps me do so much around the house, but won't let me pay him...in money anyway. He sure doesn't mind my little food gifts left at his front door & your recipes are perfect. Affordable enough for me to make something for him every couple of weeks & keep my yard mowed all summer.

    Thanks, Tammy

    Pam

  • Pam,

I'm trying to do some quick and easy recipes that people who are afraid of baking would like to try.

    Payment with goodies sounds good!

  • ok I love that duck or swan measuring cup you always use where can I get one??? Also dried lemon zest do you always make dried lemon zest would like to hear about this have never thought of doing that.

  • I found the goose measuring cups at a yard sale many years ago, so I don't have any idea where you could find them. ebay maybe?

I buy the dried lemon at our local bulk food store, but I'm sure that making your own wouldn't be difficult.

  • I see the earphones ;) What book?

This looks good and easy. I did see the blueberry topping on your DB picture and totally agree with you that lemon and blueberry compliment one another.

the 4:53 money shot totally sold me ;) Oooh until 5:07.

Now, for the crack. I believe I've seen something about a pan of water under the pan you are baking helps with that? Don't take my word on it though.

  • I think I was listening to "touch of dead" a the time (sookie short stories).

I know that you can bake cheese cake in a pan of water and the steam is supposed to make it bake better in some way. I did overbake this one though

  • That sounds good. My lemons are all ripening; I'm taking a huge bag to some friends who live in the desert and can't grow them.

  • Growing your own lemons....sigh!

I think we pay $2 for three small ones here.

  • thanks for the recipe, i love the easy ones!

  • thanks D
