  • prvi makes good ammo, my ar loves thier ammo better than lake city.

  • Nice gun! I also have a Tula hex receiver from the same year! Great condition. Since you're in the UK, can you keep the gun in your house? Or does it have to be locked up at the Police station?

  • @arielnyc2005 Do a bit of research on UK gun law

  • I just got a Mosin-Nagant 91/30 1925 Hex receiver. It's in excellent condition.I'll shoot a video of it.I don't get to use it or shoot it, until Christmas day though. It's killing me.Has all the original parts and tools.

  • Your stock looks brilliant... I've just applied the first layer of stainer to mine, and am waiting for it to dry. Hopefully my stainer matches the color of your stock by the time it's done! Could you help me out? How did you get the handguard bands back on without scratching the wood?

  • @GlocksInABox simple i wrapped the screwdriver with some cloth

  • @jubbles2343 ok, based on experience, would you have wanted a tula receiver or the izhevsk??? I can get either because they are the same cost... I just don't know which one to get!!! Help!

  • HOLY SHIT that is the best looking 91/30 I have ever seen lol

  • pfft u could get a sks for bout same price

  • @metalmessiahmetal only you couldn't because this is in the UK

  • @jubbles2343 i dont know bout ur gun laws but in NZ they r easy to get

  • @metalmessiahmetal yea you can get a sks for about the same price but you barely get half the ass the mosin packs

  • Nice looking weapon and a great video! I just ordered my rifle today. I found a place that is selling them for $86.00 and almost bought two! I figure.... once they are gone, the value will increase. I may order a oule more just to hang onto. Thanks for the cool video.

  • how do you clean you mosin?

  • Hey man dont get mad but you are supposed to say it like "Moosin Nagan-t" The t is almost silent.

  • that one looks great it would be perfect if the stock was not cracked...how is the bore?

  • @hillboy762 bore is shiny and with perfct rifling, stock is not cracked

  • nice rifle

  • Nice furniture on that thing and good groups with PP ammo. Now you have to get the sight picture to match with the impact, but looks solid.

  • You got Really shakey and seemed Nervous at 2:00-2:20. lol i thought it was funny.

  • do you live in the UK sir?

  • Kitty!

  • Can this also shoot the 306 round?

  • @spawnslayer22 The 7.62x54 bore diameter is actually .312", not .308. And the 7.5x55mm (aka 7.5 Swiss) is .306.

    .308, or 7.62x51, isn't rimmed, and it's .308.

    7.5 swiss isn't rimmed, and it's .306.

    7.62x54R is rimmed, and it's .312

so yeah it COULD shoot that round but I would never try it.

  • @screamineagle91 My Mosin barrel slugged at .311.

  • wered u get the bullets

  • Jeez mate! When I shot a mosin with only a t-shirt on I had terrible bruising!

    How bruised were you?

  • @NZUlthw3 I didnt bruise

  • @jubbles2343 Lucky mate!

  • @NZUlthw3 You could be shooting it in an awkward way. Try shooting in a different position. sometimes that can help

  • how far where you shooting ?

  • @slyde77 100yds mate

  • Pretty gun man. I hope to get me one soon. I would get an Enfield but I am lacking in the financial department. You can pick up one of these babies for around $100 though.

  • what is the length of the bolt and the receiver?

  • a little trick to get 10 point: if you hold the trigger a few xecound it shold get a better resoult! and dont look away from the target after you have shoot just sight 3 sec and then you have a better score! it looks dummy but it gives you A BETTER SCORE TRY IT :)

  • i have a 1934 with hex receiver. beautiful gun the 9130 =]

  • beautiful rifle.

  • I was also watching this movie, but is a Mosin Nagant also a good rifle and as accurad to shoot. Like for contest? A the moment I am doubthing in three rifles a k98, lee enfield or a Mosin

  • in "general" a mosin is not as good as either a mauser or enfield. I would suggest a efield as the rifle of choice.

  • Ok, thanks for your advice. I have heard of more people that an lee enfield is a good choice

  • @jubbles2343 But the ammo for the mosin is a lot cheaper than that of either the mauser or the enfield, (seeing as how most enfields are converted to .308 and/or 7.62x51.)

  • @nowthisis2stupid , the surplus ammunition is yes but that will not last forever. Oh and you are wrong the majority of enfields are in .303 only a small number were ever converted.

  • nice rifle man , did u refurb the stock?....my moisin is a piece of shite. Its countered bored and it jams up. How about yours?

  • mine is not counter bored, the rifling is brand new, the stock was not refurbed, I cleaned it and thats it, a new video of the mosin is coming soon!!! on the 10th I will be going to a big shoot and will have a lot of good videos coming out soon

  • beautifully rifle...scored on that baby...i had to refurb the stock on mine......big shoot??..isnt it cold as hell out there right now?..Its 70degrees here in sunny california....any good pubs out where your at ??

  • 50 to 1300yds range with tanks, pop up metal targets etc if that gets cancellled il be at the normal 300 and 600yd range, its minus 7 degrees celsius over here, lots of good pubs, hell im in one now thank gof for blackberries

  • sweet...happy new year

  • Clean it! Also nothing wrong with counterboring...

  • i have cleaned it knucklehead...several times...i even polished the chamber...i just got a lemon rifle.Your not talking to a rookie shooter dude.I own many rifles and the moisin nagant is a piece of shit....and umm yes counterboring sucks it ,fucks up the accuracy...there is no rifling for 2 1/2 inches...when the bullet leaves the muzzle..it looses its spin the rifling gives it thus killing accuracy..its only good for shooting stuff at close range which is sad for this powerful rifle.

  • well is it the only mosin nagant you have?

  • yes i only own one, but ive shot several and compared to my mauser and enfield its a piece of crap. The only moisins worth buying are the finn captured refurbs, or maybe a prewar tula rifle....but if your just plinking its ok i guess.

  • A mosin can be a good rifle mate you just gota feed it nice ammo and accurise it, am going to float the barrel etc

  • ive tried that...its not worth the hassle on a cheap rifle...im gonna get my enfield dialed in and then maybe work on geting a m1 garand or a springfield 30.06.

  • @MrPettj Can never have too many mosins mate !

Although I agree on the Finns, I have a fin M91/24 (from the states) and that outshoots my others

  • @pintofshite ......i have 2 moisins and they are both crap compared to my k98 and my enfield no4...once the cheap 762x54surplus ammo runs out for these guns people will be geting rid of em like crazy....i seriously dont know how the russians won a war with this gun.....I would luv to own a FINN rifle though, never see em out this way.

  • @MrPettj I agree, but I certainly wont be getting rid of mine when the suplus is gone. The finns are rare, hence why I imported mine from the states (empire arms) They do shoot much better than the Russain ones stone wall.

  • @pintofshite ....I hear ya...I will hold onto my mosin and possibly mount a scope on it, but Id sell it in a heartbeat if i found a FINN rifle.

  • I shot one of my old computers with my 91/30 and I shit you not, it split the outer shell on the PC in two.

I also shot a cube made out of 2x4 wood and it blew out the back of it. Where as my SKS just puts clean holes through it.

so getting shot with this rifle would hurt.

  • indeed

  • poor shooting judgement, always use eye protection and blinking while shooting is a bad habit you must get over.

  • @rawimpact poor shooting judgement? and no thanks im quite happy without eye protection its my choice and its me that suffers any consequence. As for blinking, well hasn't stopped me at all so far and untill I see you not close your eye from recoil im inclined to believe you blink to.

  • Nice rifle and nice vid. I don't have sound, and I don't know if you mentioned it, but how much did you pay for it? I bet it shoots nice, a pre-war hex from Tula is probably the best quality you can get in terms of Mosin Nagants besides Finish Nagants. Great rifle! How you been?

  • Have you ever shot at a brick or cinder block? If its surplus ammunition with the steel core like mine if you shoot it at a wall whoever is on the other side is fucked

  • @superLouSTI nah its prvi ammo so lead core, however i think it would still fuck shit up after a brick wall

  • nice tula, one of my friends has one they are nice!!

  • damn... dont u just love pre war stuff!

  • dont know, dont ever use the safety on it, is a bastard to do and somewhat unsafe, much better to use your brain when handling it

  • I guess stalin didn't care about the safety of his soldiers : I

  • stalin had nothing to do with the design of the rifle or even the choosing of it as a weapon, he actually wanted the forces to convert to a semi automatic rifle.

  • I know, I was joking about communism. The real designer was sergi ( e ) mosin.

  • Your M9130 looks great It's like new.

  • Nice gun,I have a Boer War DWM 95 and a Fred Williams 12g sbs hammer gun which was used for game hunting in India in 1930s. It fired solid slugs!

  • Nice...great shape for the year !

  • thats kool. ive got a 1925 tula hex that was a updated dragoon gun

  • I bought a 1942 Izhevsk 91/30 two weeks ago. I've only put 20 rds through it so I haven't formed an opinion on it yet.

I'll probably shoot it some more tomorrow.

  • wow a very nice bit of kit you got yourself there. thurns out i can shoot my uncles .303 on the weekend so i will be putting a video up about it very soon. great video 5*

  • Five Stars!!

  • Nice Mosin

  • Is this a brand new one or a refurbished one? Nice piece of kit, 5* I want one lol

  • Did you refinish that stock? Or did you buy it like that? I cannot believe for a minute that the stock wasn't sanded down and revarnished, it's way too clean.

Don't get me wrong, it looks great. I've just never seen a stock that clean without someone working on it long after it was retrieved from storage.

Re: hard bolt...go to iraqveteran333, he has some tips/mods you can apply to the bolt to make it run faster.

  • walked into shop and there were plenty of them in this condition

  • Hey you want some stripper clips for the mosin?? I have 15 brand new still in package and you can have them if you want.

  • YOU BASTARD OMG!! I've been looking for a tula hex for over a year now! Here in a few weeks I'm trading in my No.1Mk4 for money towards an SA marked finnish M39 with a 1917 tang date. I have a 44 izzy ex-sniper and a 44 izzy lammy m44 right now, and I also reload the 7.62x54R but I have 800 something rounds of the bulgarian lightball. Great benefits can be had from reloading this cartridge! Enjoy that mosin and happy shooting!

  • No.4 Mk1 rather...

  • I wouldnt give away your NO4, its a much better gun than the mosin in almost every respect, , and well sometimes being in the UK is better for guns than in the USA :D

  • My No.4Mk1 looks safe on the outside, but the chamber was reamed off center by 3 thousanths, and the headspace is off enough to where its noticable on the brass not to mention it pierces primers no matter what I do. Its not worth the risk. I'm a gunsmith, and if I can't even fix it then well...

  • roger that bro

  • Dude, you so need to go to AIM Surplus...you can get a hex or round receiver for $80 to $90, AND unlike JGSales, you can pay $10 extra and if you ask on your paperwork for a Tula...you will very likely get one. They just won't pull by year (prefer the pre-1928 Tulas).

Go to AIM, they will accomodate while supplies last...

  • Definitely the cleanest Mosin Nagant I have ever seen. I seriously doubt it is unfired with an arsenal refinish mark.

  • I highly doubt it was unfired. There is a stock refurb mark on the right of the butt, and the floor plate has been lined out. If it was an "unfired" rifle, why would there be any arsenal repairs? Why wouldn't it be in it's original stock? The stock has pressed in sling escutcheons, not the screw in type that would be period accurate for the date of the rifle. But she sure is a beauty nonetheless!

  • stock wood has matching numbers with all the other parts, everything on the rifle is matching, mosin nagants are a foreign place to me as you guys know enfields are my thing

  • You can tell by arsenal refurb stamps, but even if it doesn't have a refurb stamp, and other numbers are lined out, or electropenciled in its still not matching in a traditional sense. I don't know about English import laws for importing firearms, but the rifles here in the US need to be force matched if the numbers aren't already on the rifles. This means lined out and re-stamped numbers to match the receiver. Same with buttplates. Sometimes on bolts they are lined out.

  • But this rifle ought to be a great shooter. Not counter bored I would presume. I've got lots of MN vids on my channel if you're interested. Also a couple Enfield vids, and a No.4 Mk1 that I am still trying to figure out if its English made or American contract. Any info would be great!

  • ok il have a look and tell you in a few minutes

  • oh and i told you 4 months ago where your enfield was made, you should check the comments of your videos :D

  • Well I thought your name was familiar, but I wasn't certain it was you. I am convinced it is English made.

  • well with the markings it has, i cannot be anything but british, if you give me the serial number I can tell you more about it

  • nah ours dont need to be force matched

    i think its electro pencilled

  • very sexy rifle. looks so clean.

  • Unfired?

  • made in 1931, dipped in cosmo, and stored, never had a round through it till I broke in the barrel. - hence unfired

  • It's a refurb look at the [ / ] on the stock.

  • and that would mean it cannot have not been fired?

  • How can you tell it's unfired? :)

  • barrel condition, price :D, paperwork (although being soviet it may not be as reliable), also the period in which it was made and the condition it is in suggests its not been battle hardened, bolt face is also mint, errrm, could probs ask an expert for more reasons

  • well most refurbs look new to me lol.

  • very nice good to see ur collection is getting bigger
