This was my Mom's favorite song. I remember when she was in the hospital for over a month when I was a little girl and I would play this song as I sat at home alone.
Then when she was dying I was taking care of her, and the last car trip we took ironically this song was on the radio. We just sat in silence and sadly listened to it. Five days later she was gone.
ray price the cherokee cowboy.....man oh man.....what a voice...they don't make them like him anymore......sure would be nice tho.....don't ya think!!!!>>????
I love hearing Ray sing "For the Good Times". This beautiful soulful song is done perfectly by him.I first heard him sing "City Lights" & fell in love with him and his voice. He's been my favorite singer from the get go and instead of putting my favorites at actually 1, 2, 3 I put them on a horizontal list - Ray, Gene Watson, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Tammy and so on. I love the song "Help Me Make It Thru the Night" but prefer it as a slow ballad
Favourite singer, favourite song. Can anyone tell me how to get the video of Ray singing this on the RFDITV - someone had posted this but it is no longer available. Help!
Mary - I miss this one, too. It just disappeared one day. It's the best one of Ray singing "For the Good Times". He always looks so classy and so professional - just as an entertainer should look I feel. -Paula

It was a different time. The jackets were louder than the music

I'm going to see him next April 10th in Montreal Canada. He will be the opening act for his good friend Willie Nelson. I can't wait to see that show.
