I can accept that Aizen could be broken out his prison, but if he were just to come back out of nowhere wouldn't make sense. If anything, I see other villains coming about, and if anything the Gotei 13 might need Aizen for some reason or another, which might see him come back. But even that is somewhat cliche'd for the heroes to need a past antagonist. My money is on him rotting in prison.

So it basically refused to let some idiot keep getting beat into the ground. If it was the result of a subconscious wish to be 'normal', or if Ichigo truly destroyed his power with Mugetsu (because that is what Mugetsu does (destroys everything in it's path and returns it to nothingness) we will never know.
There is one thing you need to take into account however, Ichigo wasn't only one 'realm of power' above Aizen, but several and even after using Mugetsu, Ichigo still had roughly half of his reiatsu left.
Ichigo technically defeated him. Remember when Aizen's Zanpakutou faded away? And how his Hogyoku suddenly became weak enough to trigger Urahara's seal? Both his Zanpakutou and Hogyoku rejected him because he subconsciously gave up on all hope after Ichigo used Mugetsu to vertically rip the dude in half. You're right in saying that Aizen wouldn't evolve anymore, but that wasn't because of the seal. Sure, Aizen's could've killed Ichigo right then and there, but he still lost.

The Seal didnt stop Aizen from evolving, its the rejection from the Hogyoku that allowed the seal to activate in the first place. Honestly i wouldnt be surprised if Ichigo ends up as the Master of the Hogyoku in the end.

That's the ONLY reason Urahara's seal activated.

The only reason the seal worked in the first place was because the hogyoku rejected aizen. He was just too sure of himself to realize it before urahara had to point it out.
Aizen is the coolest villain in any anime in my opinnion...He was just so powerfull and he was the kind of guy who was always right when he said something even when it was bad
Well I see that there are some views about Aizen being bad or good or something else (in between perhaps :) ). I personally believe that someone who wants to kill thousand of people just to create the king's key (even if the king is bad, or not) is not someone I want to call good or righteous. @Ukaran still,he's not that good. biakuya,zaraki and mayuri were all in hueco mundo because if they were in the figth aizen would loose,zaraki would problably overpower him,if he didnt biakuya would ,and mayuri and his zanpaktou,altough lacking strength like zaraki's or biakuya's it'd stop aizen on his tracks. either one of those tree could beat aizen , that's problably why the reator of the series had them put in hueco mundo so ichigo would get his final power and aizen would make the plot move
@behapy666 All Captains are under the influence of Kyouka Suigetsu, including Biakuya, Kenpachi and Mayuri. I don't see how they could win.
Kubo probably didn't want to extend the final battle too much by adding all the 10 Captains, and 'badass' characters like Kenpachi and Biakuya have to many fans who wouldn't like to see them being trounced by Aizen like everyone else.
Aizen was able to beat friggin Yamamoto! I'm pretty sure he would be able to overpower or outsmart those three Captains.

Nothing goes not according to his plans, his power is practically unmatched, he never fails/lose to anything(excluding the final battle with Ichigo, that only happened because Aizen was the main villain and therefore, NEEDED to lose at one point), there is no apparent flaw to him. For most of the story, he is just the incarnation of "perfection" and that's it.

@Dem0nikos i am not disagreeing with you about aizen's motives, but the shinigami don't fight for their commander. they attack hollows because they would start to consume the souls of the real world. that itself is a good cause to fight, but when hollows attack souls, the souls turn into hollows themselves. eventually, it would disrupt the balance, the soul reapers wouldn't be able to defeat the vast number of hollows, and everybody would be a mindless monster eating everything in its path.

i personally love Aizen! He is a very smart antagonist that made sure that he had all of his basis's covered. However, we also have to understand two things: 1) Trying to understand this character has conflicting views for everyone, being that it is an anime/manga and does not get respect of a person but more of a cartoon character. 2) Aizen can be seen as both bad and good. He wasn't Bad in terms of his goals or motives, but merely his actions to get him to what he wanted.

@SendoDeLaGhetto Aizen wasn't about to evolve again. When he got hit with Mugetsu, the Hogyoku rejected him and turned him back to normal. That's when Urahara's seal activated.

@SendoDeLaGhetto Ichigo lost but so did Aizen. Urahara said the reason the seal activated was because Aizen was not recognized as the Hougyoku's master. So it basically refused to let some idiot keep getting beat into the ground. Also Aizen probably thought he was evolving but he also thought so much other crap about ichigo before he revealed he was stronger.

@SendoDeLaGhetto No, the seal only took effect after Aizen lost his powers. If it was the result of a subconscious wish to be 'normal', or if Ichigo truly destroyed his power with Mugetsu (because that is what Mugetsu does (destroys everything in it's path and returns it to nothingness) we will never know.

There is one thing you need to take into account however, Ichigo wasn't only one 'realm of power' above Aizen, but several and even after using Mugetsu, Ichigo still had roughly half of his reiatsu left.

Ichigo technically defeated him. Remember when Aizen's Zanpakutou faded away? And how his Hogyoku suddenly became weak enough to trigger Urahara's seal? Both his Zanpakutou and Hogyoku rejected him because he subconsciously gave up on all hope after Ichigo used Mugetsu to vertically rip the dude in half. You're right in saying that Aizen wouldn't evolve anymore, but that wasn't because of the seal. Sure, Aizen's could've killed Ichigo right then and there, but he still lost.

@SendoDeLaGhetto Well that is exactly what wasnt about to happen :D Urahara explained it very clearly. The Seal didnt stop Aizen from evolving, its the rejection from the Hogyoku that allowed the seal to activate in the first place. Honestly i wouldnt be surprised if Ichigo ends up as the Master of the Hogyoku in the end.

@SendoDeLaGhetto Not really actually. His zanpaktou was crumbling away because he was losing so much power because of the way he lost to Ichigo. The only reason the seal could work was if Aizen was at his weakest. That was because Ichigo dealt some major ass whopping.

@SendoDeLaGhetto No, that's not what was happening. That's how Aizen, who was delusional at that point I might remind you, interpreted his Zanpakuto disintegrating as. And I highly doubt he would have evolved. The Hogyoku was removing it, not fusing him with it. There's a big difference. He was losing powers at that point, not gaining them. That's the ONLY reason Urahara's seal activated.

Well I see that there are some views about Aizen being bad or good or something else (in between perhaps :) ). I personally believe that someone who wants to kill thousand of people just to create the king's key (even if the king is bad, or not) is not someone I want to call good or righteous. Even if his goals are good, or just not too bad, killing ppl, to achieve it IS a bad thing. Oc that's my opinion ;) .

Aizen have a massive brain(to the ridiculous point that it looks like he is omniscient, sometimes), massive reiatsu, massive physical strength and speed, the most broken and unfair shikai of the series, the most hax and unfair artifact-of-power of the series(the Hogyoku), and is allways shown overpowering or outsmarting everyone around him.
Those are all indications of a Gary-Stue.

@Ukaran still,he's not that good. biakuya,zaraki and mayuri were all in hueco mundo because if they were in the figth aizen would loose,zaraki would problably overpower him,if he didnt biakuya would ,and mayuri and his zanpaktou,altough lacking strength like zaraki's or biakuya's it'd stop aizen on his tracks. either one of those tree could beat aizen , that's problably why the reator of the series had them put in hueco mundo so ichigo would get his final power and aizen would make the plot move

@behapy666 All Captains are under the influence of Kyouka Suigetsu, including Biakuya, Kenpachi and Mayuri. I don't see how they could win.
Kubo probably didn't want to extend the final battle too much by adding all the 10 Captains, and 'badass' characters like Kenpachi and Biakuya have to many fans who wouldn't like to see them being trounced by Aizen like everyone else.
Aizen was able to beat friggin Yamamoto! I'm pretty sure he would be able to overpower or outsmart those three Captains.

@behapy666 Yes, but the way it was showed, it looked like Aizen outsmarted Yamamoto by creating Wonderweiss and using him as a tool to beat Yama.
It's like I said, Aizen is able to beat EVERYONE by overpowering OR outsmarting them(Yamamoto's case).
Don't get me wrong, I like Aizen(I wouldn't be wasting my time talking about him if I didn't), but the guy IS a Gary-Stue. He is too perfect(at everything, for no explained reason) to not be one.

@behapy666 Yes, but Ichigo comit mistakes. We see his grow, his struggles, his victories and losses.
Aizen on the other hand, doesn't. Nothing goes not according to his plans, his power is practically unmatched, he never fails/lose to anything(excluding the final battle with Ichigo, that only happened because Aizen was the main villain and therefore, NEEDED to lose at one point), there is no apparent flaw to him. For most of the story, he is just the incarnation of "perfection" and that's it.

Most fictional characters(Ichigo included) have some flaw(s) that make them interesting and BELIEVABLE.
Aizen doesn't. Everything is easy to him, he is the smartest, the second strongest, the most well-prepared, able to quickly adapt to every situation, doesn't have any fear or insecurity or obsession that could prejudice him, is unfazed by anything, etc.
He doesn't have any flaw!

@Dem0nikos i am not disagreeing with you about aizen's motives, but the shinigami don't fight for their commander. they attack hollows because they would start to consume the souls of the real world. that itself is a good cause to fight, but when hollows attack souls, the souls turn into hollows themselves. eventually, it would disrupt the balance, the soul reapers wouldn't be able to defeat the vast number of hollows, and everybody would be a mindless monster eating everything in its path.

i personally love Aizen! He is a very smart antagonist that made sure that he had all of his basis's covered. However, we also have to understand two things: 1) Trying to understand this character has conflicting views for everyone, being that it is an anime/manga and does not get respect of a person but more of a cartoon character. 2) Aizen can be seen as both bad and good. He wasn't Bad in terms of his goals or motives, but merely his actions to get him to what he wanted.
