  • I cant believe we are having this conversation. before u say anything about Rumi one should search a bit, google for example. Rumi is persian. and he died in turkey

  • Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi is from AFGHANISTAN ,He is AFGHAN

  • Is the original recording as nearly impossible to understand as this upload?

  • thats it:lets look to us with friendly eyes.lets make hearts and not break hearts...yunus emre said:ive come to make hearts...(sorry my english)

  • @guisepppe That, my friend, was beautiful.

  • my dear friends, its not important from where rumi comes.it doesnt make you cleverer or better than others.look at that what he gave us...salam

  • @yitzhill Those were the Pashtuns of Afghanistan. Rumi is a Tajik (Persian).

  • Yes mawlana was an Afghan..Iranians not turks always try to take everything in their name....any ways lets enjoy his work....where is he from is very clear...

  • This isn't Rumi. This is Pablo Neruda's poem "If You Forget Me"

which apparently the person who posted this did.

  • A brother of all.......

  • through the history always Persian had Great men, Poet and scientist such az Avicenna, Hafez, Saedi, Rumi, Khayam, Cyrus, ... , but I have never hear the name of any great turkish man!!!

  • All of the Turkish people that think Molana was Turkish are stupid!!!, He was PERSIAN, all of his work were in Persian, He was born and grow up in Persia and just died in turky . May be Turkish steal his corpse! and then they acclimed he was turkish!!! :-))))

No Body can not Steal OUR MOLANA JALALEDIN BALKHI (RUMI) at all, He remains Persian for EVER.

  • @SalimeFazlali does it matter?

    Mâ berâ-yı vasl kerden âmedim

    Ne berâ-yı fasl kerden âmedim”

  • It is not where you died but where you where born that defines where you come from. RIP.

  • Rumi belongs to all the lovers.Dose it really matter where he is from ? His massage is about UNITY.

He belongs to all of us.Yes he was born in old Persia, and he died in what is today called Turkey,But these are are irrelevant. He was born out of Love and lived and died in Love.

  • Maulana Jalalludin Balkhi was born in 1207 in Balkh, Mazar-i- Sharif. His name was Jalalludin Mohammad. Even though he was born in Afghanistan, in Turkey and ancient Rome he was known as 'Rumi' meaning "from Rome". In the wake of Mongolian attacks his family moved to Anatolia, Turkey. He known mostly as Maulaana Jalalludin Balkhi in Afghanistan but in Turkey, to oppose his birthplace claims, Turkey is claiming that Jalalludin Balkhi is from Turkey and not Afghanistan.

  • GERMAN:

Dschalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi, (persisch ‏مولانا جلال الدین محمد رومی‎, DMG Maulānā Ǧalāl ad-Dīn Muḥammad-e Rūmī; * 30. September 1207 in Balch im mittelalterlichen Chorasan, heute in Afghanistan; † 17. Dezember 1273 in Konya,

  • Rumi is a Persian poet from Persia/Iran!!!!

  • one love

  • If You Forget Me -- Pablo Neruda (1904 – 1973) recited by Madonna...

    watch?v=1OpVBUsRXMs

  • I am not muslim but I have read quite a lot of Rumi's poems via YouTube and find them inspiring and beautiful. When it comes to human thoughts, feelings and emotions then we are all the same. We are all made of the same flesh and blood and experience similar trials & tribulations in life no matter our class, colour or creed.

if you get rumis filosofy you wouldent care were he came from! hi is from haven anyway!!!!!

  • What the fuck....

This is NOT NOT NOT Rumi This is Pablo Neruda, a Chilean poet far far away from Persia.

  • @EnvyAbomination Pablo :-)))) What a Big joke!!! Rumi was born in 13th century and neruda in 20th centyry!!! maybe neruda stole Rumi's poems!!! :-))))

  • @SalimeFazlali

Google "If you forget me" and tell me that's Rumi. Besides, do you even know what this poem's name is?

This isn't Rumi's poetry. I like Neruda and Rumi both, but mistaking one for the other is not very good.

  • Rumi Is Persian. The turk just like to make him theirs, but all his works are in persian he just moved around a lot due to the attack of the mongols on Persia and lived his last years in turkey and died there.

Its really annoying to steal a nations most famous poet and claim he is turkish or something else.

Facts are facts and documented. Period!

  • @zorro2040 yes persian literature was very famous in the time of rumi.most of the lyrics were written in persian language.for example: the most comments of this video are in english.i write also in english, because its usual.but does it mean that i am an american?or british? many persians live in the USA.they speak english.do that mean that they are from american nation?however i didn´t start this "nation discussion".i think we should look at the person and his work.and not to his nationality...

  • @guisepppe

He was born in Persia, Balkh, which now we call Afghanistan. So he is born in persia and most of his work is in Persian, than means he is a PRODUCT of persia, made in Persia..

  • @guisepppe

Rumi was born in Balkh (in today's Afghanistan); he traveled through Iran, then Iraq, and today's Syria before settling in Konya, Turkey. His language was Persian. He wrote exclusively in Persian, but he is a heritage for the humankind - teaching us the essence of oneness of religion and oneness of humanity, and those who love Rumi must also elevate themselves and the world for these sublime ideals.

  • @guisepppe stop your nonsense please.. why shouldn't the Iranians be proud of their ancestors and their greatness?? 80 millions Iranians have a sense of pride for their heritage.. this is the only reason the nation still stands under the darkness of Islamic fundamentalisme..

We will do anything to keep this national identity alive.. This is who we are..nothing more nothing less

Pioneers of men.. poets and filosofers

    Iran hargez naxahad mord

  • @zorro2040 Yes of course you are correct Rumi was Persian, and he wrote in Farsi, but he also has a lot of poem in Turkish and Arabic.

  • @zorro2040

most of his work was created in konya, turkey.

persian was the most common written language at that time.

he came from kayseri, turkey to konya, where before his father has lived.

he was a born persian that is fact, but lived worked his whole life in turkey.

    but this is not important.

if you would get 1% of the poems you obviosly reading, than you would not post such a dumb comment.

  • @zorro2040 you are incriminating 70million turks to "steal" (!!!) be careful, that can destroy your relation to god.you know what to do in this case,if you are a islampractising muslim? you should ask these 70mio turks for forgiveness, then god will forgive you.it is impossible,so pray for all turks.i would do it so.the other world is time-and placeless...so Allah will not ask us for nation...dont wound my heart anymore, otherwise i will not forgive you... salam=peace

  • @guisepppe

My guess is that he was descended from the ten lost tribes of Israel who kived between Afganistant Persia and are nowardays absorbed amongst the Pashtoon.

  • @guisepppe I am 100% on your side Guiseppe... First of all, he doesn't even know what he is talking about so I adviced him to read first before talk... I agree with you, God says "do not come before me with a broken heart because if you break someone's heart, I will not forgive you"... Peace as well...

  • @zorro2040

Rumi belongs to all the lovers.Dose it really matter where he is from ? His massage is about UNITY.

He belongs to all of us.Yes he was born in old Persia, and he died in what is today called Turkey,But these are are irrelevant. He was born out of Love and lived and died in Love.

  • @zorro2040 so true.. but does it really matter? doesnt Rumi actually belong to us all, or to no one at all?

  • @zorro2040 RUMI WAS BEYOND AND ABOVE ALL NATIONALISM (SHALLOW ISSUES FOR SHALLOW MINDED PPL) BLACK , WHITE , RED , BROWN , PERSIAN , NON PERSIAN , TURK , NON TURK , HE WAS TRUE PRACTICAL MUSLIM ( SUBMITTED HIMSELF TO ONE TRUE GOD) OF PEACE AND TRANQUILITY. I DON'T SEE ANYTHING IN HIS WRITINGS IN WHICH HE GRADE OR DEGRADE ANY COLOR OR CREED. HE WAS ABOVE ALL BACKWARDNESS IN YEAR 1207. JUST IMAGIN !!!

  • @zorro2040 Do you think Rumi had an attachment to his Persian identity? I do not think so...Reading his writting and his poetry shows that he was no longer attached to this material world...no longer attached to labels...Who care where he is from, he is a human being...forget about his nationality, and appreciate his wisdom. The problem in this world is that people are always getting involved in the drama rather than observing the beauty of its creation...Rumi was Persian, Rumi was human...

  • @zorro2040 Go educate yourself first, Maulana Jalal Ud Deen Rumi is from Balkh Province of Afghanistan.

  • @zorro2040 First of all Rumi is NOT persian, he is Afghan, when he moved to Konya (in Turkey) he was only 13. He literally grew up there, he was raised and got educated there, the reason he wrote his books and poems in Persian was because it was a language of Philosophy. If he had written them in Turkish, nobody would have read them... Read and google first my friend, read... So you would know better before you talk and accuse people or a whole country... With peace... Period!

  • @zorro2040 He isnt Turkish, either Persian.. Neither from west , nor from east..

  • persian literature is perhaps one of the best?!

  • it's not about his ethnicity it's about the language you'll never find such poems in turkish..

  • Rumi is life in its wholeness , Rumi is the translation of divine creation . RUmi is love reflection of divine love ,

his spirit was beyond any nobody can claim him , only those which knows him real but he wrote in Persian

  • whats your problem?

There is a big treasure and you are discussing about the chest of this treasure...big,black,turkish or iranian chest-what does it matter?if you are racist because of chest, then you havent understand rumi...ask yourself:am i interested in rumi or in his nationality?

  • Rumi was Persian. His family was well knowed in the area. He had not 1 % Turkish blood. So fuck you Turks, you never had a poet like Rumi or scientists like us Persians. You even had no civilization in your history.

  • Please how can you be so onesided. His full name is Mawlana Jalâluddîn Mohammad-i Balkhî .

Balkh is in Afghanistan and Mawlana was born there. He is an Afghan. No doubt.

  • @kasraaa ,nice comment, for someone like you a poem lover and a science fan and an expert in turkish history few words: its a pityy that Turkish dynasties ruled you for centuries you ignorant scum of the earth ass hole

  • @kasraaa ur funny, badmouthing ppl, as all iranians, thats why the ppl of iran are not free in their own country, look at turkey right now and iran, do u find more freedom in iran compared to turkey? turkey are much more modern and way ahead of iran, so dont bullshit n hide the truth.

iran is a beatifull country, but the goverments hate and the peoples arrogance destroys it.

  • so what he had a turkish name he is turkish, ?!!!!

  • Im mean come on get a life you people he was Iraninan.

    Turkish my ****

  • @havij128 well then you have to change his name, because rum was the name for turkeys region..

  • Say all in Persian even if Arabic is better Love will find its way through all languages on its own.

  • Rumi was born Balkh.these cities were at the time included in the Greater Persian cultural sphere of Khorasan, the easternmost province of historical Persia and were part of the Khwarezmian Empire.

  • مہ پرسی از کجا ام کیستم من۔۔ رامی اول انسان بودند۔

جہان را زی یک آب گل افریدم

تو ایران و تاتار و زنگ افریدی

Rumi was a great person his message contains love for all.

  • surely what he wrote matters above all else. the message. not the messenger.

  • dear giuseppe Rumi and shams were both persian,,,, Rumi had to leave persia because of Mongols attacks, and lieved some Time in Turkey, but it doenst make him a Turk,,,

All his Poems are in Farsi ( Language of Iran )

  • he was a

    Muslim thats all that matters.

  • Rumi was born in Af ghanistan, sorry read your history before trying to sound smart. Balkh is in Afghanistan. No one likes iranians cause you guys alway try to claim everyone in history. Plus get over it persia does not exist anymore what the fcuk is wrong with you jackass people.

  • Exactly. Salam for you my brother. They always think everybody is iranians.

  • @kianoosch well one of the greatest turkish sultans, Yavuz Sultan Selim, wrote all his poems in farsi, too. This makes him iranian than, too. Interesting...

  • @isa123454321 maybe who knows to say i'm turkish is like saying i#m american ...

maybe if you look up your family history you will find out that your ancestors were persian too or chinese or greek /jugoslavian there is no 100% turkish ethnicity in turkey dude

  • so lets all be one, like schams and mawlana...

  • Mevlana comes the middle asia where the turks are originating and in his book Mesnavi he said that he is turkish. It doesnt matter where he is from cos we are all comming from Adam. Why do you care where he is from care what he said!!! Shames Tabrizi was not his teacher or guru they became one and found the love!! Rumis father was called at that time the teacher of all techers. If Shames Tabrizi was Rumis teacher now we and the world would be taling about him but we are talking about Mevlana!!!

  • "a heart fallen down and broke in two parts...one part in persian tebriz and one part in turkish konya... rumi and tebriz were ONE HEART! so all turkish and all iranian let`s be one heart and let this borders! rumi and tebriz would be sad when they see you pressing them in a border, because they are borderless...nobody can choose where he will be born, but everybody can chosse where he wants live...greetings and love to all...

  • @guisepppe

don't bother yourself with them ,

they are here just to fight each other , they don't Understand Rumi , and don't feel what the Master says ,,

so if their hearts can't open to Rumi's wisdom , how can they understand u ,

one should just feel sorry for these poor guys...:(

  • THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NERUDA, NOT RUMI. The poem's name is SI TU ME OLVIDAS.
  • Rumi lived and wrote his poetry in 12 century, don't think it is possible that Neruda was inspired or copied him??? Da

  • This is not RUMI... its Pablo Neruda!

  • I agree with you, everyone has his/her dreams.

Molavi came from LoveLand, He brings love, like - I dont know, whatever we feel in, say, heart - in your life. You understand everything, and live a glad life. Not trying to have a glad life but understanding the happy view of life.

  • the western part of persian empire gets occupied by the forces of rome and gets riled by them for several centuries. that part in today's world is turkey. he died in turkey but he was not turkish. but he had so much passion for the turkish and persian people both.

  • Molana aka molavi or rumi was born in Tabriz whichwas/ is located on the north western of persia or persian empire. he traveled to the eastern persian empire (today's afghanistan which still gets considered as a persian state). who again travels back to the far west of persian emipre and resides and dies in the west. continued....

  • Dear allison051 Molana was born in Balkh in afghanistan which was a part of Iran his teacher and guru was Shamse Tabrizi who was born in Tabriz,

  • He was born in balkh, why do you think they call him Balkhi another retard iranian claiming someone just because they walked over their land.

  • whether he was persian, turkish iranian whateverr

he was a wonderful muslim poet who isnt heralded enough!

  • She is a real faker, fucking whore eager for money, money ,money !!!

  • What ever she is or isn't she will always be better that you.

  • lmao your seriously a retard. Go take your face for a walk.

  • Yes Pablo Neruda wrote If you forget me which madonna speaks here

  • plz dont fight about who was rumi and where did he came from.

his work and poems are 4 every1.

love has no simbole or borders

  • much better if you read it in persian language

    more intense

    thanks for uploading though

    5 stars

  • Rumi was and is great. Do not battle please. Persian language is as great as Rumi. Why not battle? Because of his third and forth anecdote. We all love Iran, we all love Turkey, we all love Afghanistan and the people of these countries. We all love god. Why battle? We can unite together and enjoy a better world!

  • u live in ur dreams

  • This is not by Rumi. This is a poem by the Chillian poet Pablo Neruda.

  • Its not about feeling better. Its just the difference between truth and lie. And yes rumi was brn in balkh which is afghanistan today. but theres no difference he is still iranian because afghans are nothing else.

Its just the question of what Molana wanted other people to know him as. Therefore he was neither turkish nor afghan but iranian.

    bedrud

  • Typical ignorant irani cunt.

Do you even read what you type?

Monkey looking idiot, look up BALKH on a map sometimes.

  • WHAT?

Rumi was not a turkish dude he was IRANIAN

  • and?are you feeling you better now, if he is iranian?you are a nationalist, because for you the nation is more important than the idea of this person...ok rumi was an afghan:), because he was born in balkh and balkh is in afghanistan:) you dont feel better?i can imagine:)sorry, this is the truth:) if i can trust you:i love persian language and i am learning it:)

  • He lived in Konya in Turkey (Anadolia) so how can be iranian. Iranian culture dont need Rumi. it also big culture but without Rumi.

  • Are u kidding me? Just because he lived a part of his life in Turkey he isnt turkish! His poets are in persian so is his culture, so is Rumi!

  • farsi language was the poem language in the orient. like today everywhere people hear english music...the famous artists sing in english, and you mean they are all american or british?????how you think my confused brother?????
