I'm not about to criticize his playing, cause he's a bad mofo, but I really wish some slower/bluesier/sustain kinda stuff coulda been demoed. Just a wider range, it's hard to hear the clarity when the playing is so fast
@pabdiary The "Clarity" you say, HELL I hear every string, pluck, pick, strum, well, ummmm everyone has an opinion I supposed,. Just say'n with Clarity!
I bought the guitar magazine with Joe in it too, and I also looked him up. Wish I could play like that. I've been playing for 35 years and am nowhere near that level. I can play in more than one key though. ;)
i just got a magazine with him in it and i looked him up. i got exaxtly what i was expecting and more i wish i had a joe to jam with here in michigan but theres nowere near that level hear. needless to say joe robinson ill remember your name keep tearin it up!

Even Vintage guitar price guide puts the top end of 60K in top condition.

Has anybody mentioned Jimmy Bryant yet? I read back like four pages worth and got bored. Ladies and gentlemen; this here is Smokin' Joe, sit up and pay attention...
This kid's one of those very rare fast players whose fast playing actually seems to SERVE A PURPOSE musically - like Les Paul, in a way. I'd much rather listen to him than Joe Bonamassa, for example, and I come from a musical background that would definitely suggest more Bonamassa's style of music, but Smokin' Joe here seems to have it where it REALLY counts. More power to him!
eres un makina tokando pero seria mejor que tocaras con otro estilo las canciones son un poko de niños pequeños y no te critico solo digo eso prueba con alguna de iron maiden
i think i have a boner for this guitar!!! i love broadcasters n Telecasters and Stratocaster's so best fender guitars ive ever played my local music store has a 51 broadcaster i go there everyday and play it and sometimes they let me borrow it. Fender had a limited edition reissue broadcaster out in '09 but my music store had a original '51
Ive never heard of those bands...( But i agree with you about metal core bands sucking) along with screamo crap... Heres the thing with playing guitar..YOU BETTER KNOW BLUES, and learn country, along side rock. or you will never make it. You have to know how to be versatile, Not just playing fast with distortion. Learn blues scales and incorporate it into you music. Country music in different because you have to be really good because its so clean. No distortion to cover up mistakes.
No it dont, your just too young to understand talent.. Modern screamo metal is crap. Tons of noise and distortion to cover up mistakes..it drives me crazy everytime my 15 year old turns that crap on....it sucks. The *80's is the best metal has been and the best talent. And it has gone down hill from there...Ask any talented metal player. and they will get you up to speed on music..todays metal screamo stuff is just noise..and nothing more..
@98superglide1 Again, not true, there is good modern metal and bad modern metal, just like the 80s. Christ man, Quiet Riot, don't tell me that trash takes talent.
@ATLMember Lol Quiet Riots guitarist was Randy Rhoads. Not trying to contridict you as i agree with what you are saying. 80's was reptitive speal for the mainstream music of power ballads and random songs that are generic. But there is some gems in the 80's. Music always changes whether we want it to not. I'm a guitar player, I play jazz, blues, pop, rock, metal, punk, ska, reggae, neo-classical. Respect all genres, except for rap. That shit is terrible XD just kidding around
So bands like Meshuggah, Cynic, Scale the Summit and The Sword have no talent at all? Look, I love 80s metal, but if you think no modern bands have any talent, get your head out of your ass, and learn to appreciate the fact that although many modern metal bands (BFMV, Disturbed, pretty much any metalcore) are complete shit, there are a plethora of other modern metal bands that are fucking rad. And LOL at calling screamo stuff "just noise".
@98superglide1 Saying that modern metal is just noise and nothing more is an ignorant statement. There are plenty of talented musicians within that genre that aren't using distortion to cover up mistakes, they are using distortion because that is the style of music they are playing, and that is the sound they prefer. Think about what you are saying, and do some reasearch before you make such a broad statement about an entire genre of music. I do however agree, personally I prefer 80s metal more.
@SlimShady66616 Right?? I mean it's one thing to dislike an iron maiden or queen video or something because of taste in music or whatever, but this is just obvious talent raping your face for four minutes.
kid's got talent but needs to make his stuff flow better. its a bit too random and sporatic, if you want to appeal to the masses there needs to be an obvious direction to the playing.
Joe..I'm an old Santa Cruz guy..ya know Catayst.. Jerry Miller..those guys.. People thought I was nuts playing that stuff back in the 70's.. .Scary thing is you're so darned good.. Sacrier thing is you're going to get so much better over time. Hope I'm around to see ya.. good luck kiddo.
There's always another Joe on deck, waiting to step up to tne plate. If I were Bonamassa I'd sign this kid to R&R Productions if he's still unsigned. Tal Wilkenfeld
is Australian as well as Gary Hoey, if memory serves.
@gibsonlp1102 To give you the benefit of my strong doubts let me just suggest you take a look around youtube at the many great talents who are playing this kind of music with maturity, more expressively, without the noise, and with far greater musicality.
I only am implying that he sounds like a younger player which he is..
@Ronz00 to give you the benefit of my doubts that you acyually know what you are talking about.....he sounds like he is in his 30's......a bunch of professionals play messy until they are in the studio an get it perfect.....and he is a young player but the time it would take for other people to get this good at this age....is probably two or three times longer.....and i have looked around youtube and there are many people who can play riffs and notes.but nobody has the feel and attitude like him
I'm not about to criticize his playing, cause he's a bad mofo, but I really wish some slower/bluesier/sustain kinda stuff coulda been demoed. Just a wider range, it's hard to hear the clarity when the playing is so fast
