  • I'm not about to criticize his playing, cause he's a bad mofo, but I really wish some slower/bluesier/sustain kinda stuff coulda been demoed. Just a wider range, it's hard to hear the clarity when the playing is so fast

  • @pabdiary The "Clarity" you say, HELL I hear every string, pluck, pick, strum, well, ummmm everyone has an opinion I supposed,. Just say'n with Clarity!

  • dude, you have a good taste in guitars, really =]

  • @texasmadeftw111 people like you need to be castrated.

  • DO SOMETHING ORIGNAL STOP TRYING TO PLAY LIKE TOMMY EMANUEL

  • @texasmadeftw111 go back to your cave troll...im embarrassed for you

  • @texasmadeftw111 and you used to say to tommy...do something original stop trying to paly like chet or les paul?

  • This makes me happy.

  • i bet srv would approve your music

  • I bought the guitar magazine with Joe in it too, and I also looked him up. Wish I could play like that. I've been playing for 35 years and am nowhere near that level. I can play in more than one key though. ;)

  • Lovely guitar. Does it come in any different keys? Ha ha.

  • should get a backing track or something add some depth...

  • You're an amazing guitarist, but turn the treble down, on that thing!!!

  • i just got a magazine with him in it and i looked him up. i got exaxtly what i was expecting and more i wish i had a joe to jam with here in michigan but theres nowere near that level hear. needless to say joe robinson ill remember your name keep tearin it up!

  • wow what a cool player and so fast kickin ass mate well done

  • How can you dislike this? Whether you like the style or not, this boy has loads of talent. I think he can play Smoke of the Water - you can see the burn marks on the fretboard. Nice one Joe!

  • Super playing, and he is playing a wicked rare Fender. Nice.

  • Ouch!

  • 27 People don't like this video.

  • i wish i could like this a million times

  • can you say ice pick tone...great hands non the less

  • 27 fools and counting... :o)

  • My Good Guess This Kid Studied Tommy Emmanuel !!!! Very simmular Style

  • ..but can he play Smoke on the Water?

  • @SGKlD ahahahha

  • make that 23 !!!

  • I don't understand how you can get this good.

  • 22 people are jealous and gave up playing their guitar.

  • When I die I want to be reincarnated as Smokin Joe's tone...

  • i have that shirt!

  • Limehouse Blues <3

Although it doesn't have much sense to play songs like these solo.

  • Wow! I really need to practice): u rock

  • Nothing beats a Fender Telecaster. God I love them...

  • the riff at 3:24 is amazing

  • i watched this on mushrooms a while back and i've been practicing harder and harder and harder ever since.

  • Django meets Albert Lee, Jerry Reed,Danny Gatton, Doc Watson. This young man has real talent. I think I'll take up smokin' whatever he's smokin'.

  • Well Well Well.

  • @MrPlainsteel It's called "Limehouse Blues," an old Django song

  • 18 reasons to use condoms

  • your kinda playing is so rare, so old school! So awesome! You remind me of Mr. Les Paul!

  • Man, you now how to play!!

  • never heard a folk guitar player do sweeps hahaha

  • What amp are you using?

  • 17% Thisn there was no Rock N Roll before the Thriller Album

  • Has anybody mentioned Jimmy Bryant yet? I read back like four pages worth and got bored. Ladies and gentlemen; this here is Smokin' Joe, sit up and pay attention...

  • This kid's one of those very rare fast players whose fast playing actually seems to SERVE A PURPOSE musically - like Les Paul, in a way. I'd much rather listen to him than Joe Bonamassa, for example, and I come from a musical background that would definitely suggest more Bonamassa's style of music, but Smokin' Joe here seems to have it where it REALLY counts. More power to him!

  • I just bought this same color mexican tele just because of this video.

  • HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!! Those quadruplet runs at 1:31!! AHHHHHHHH I screamed and fell out of my chair when I heard it. SO SEXY!

  • eres un makina tokando pero seria mejor que tocaras con otro estilo las canciones son un poko de niños pequeños y no te critico solo digo eso prueba con alguna de iron maiden

  • Very Good!!!

  • After seeing this video, I, as a black man, have humbly acknowledged the inherit superiority of the white race.

Just kidding. THe video inspired me though.

  • anyone who doesn't like this young man is just plain jealous! Way to go!!! You sound like a young Les Paul.

  • This guy is such a pleasure to watch!

  • i think i have a boner for this guitar!!! i love broadcasters n Telecasters and Stratocaster's so best fender guitars ive ever played my local music store has a 51 broadcaster i go there everyday and play it and sometimes they let me borrow it. Fender had a limited edition reissue broadcaster out in '09 but my music store had a original '51

  • Ive never heard of those bands...( But i agree with you about metal core bands sucking) along with screamo crap... Heres the thing with playing guitar..YOU BETTER KNOW BLUES, and learn country, along side rock. or you will never make it. You have to know how to be versatile, Not just playing fast with distortion. Learn blues scales and incorporate it into you music. Country music in different because you have to be really good because its so clean. No distortion to cover up mistakes.

  • No it dont, your just too young to understand talent.. Modern screamo metal is crap. Tons of noise and distortion to cover up mistakes..it drives me crazy everytime my 15 year old turns that crap on....it sucks. The *80's is the best metal has been and the best talent. And it has gone down hill from there...Ask any talented metal player. and they will get you up to speed on music..todays metal screamo stuff is just noise..and nothing more..

  • @98superglide1 Again, not true, there is good modern metal and bad modern metal, just like the 80s. Christ man, Quiet Riot, don't tell me that trash takes talent.

  • @ATLMember Lol Quiet Riots guitarist was Randy Rhoads. Not trying to contridict you as i agree with what you are saying. 80's was reptitive speal for the mainstream music of power ballads and random songs that are generic. But there is some gems in the 80's. Music always changes whether we want it to not. I'm a guitar player, I play jazz, blues, pop, rock, metal, punk, ska, reggae, neo-classical. Respect all genres, except for rap. That shit is terrible XD just kidding around

  • @Baseballplayinty hahah yeah, I don't know much about Quiet Riot, the point is just that there has been crap in every decade.

  • @98superglide1

So bands like Meshuggah, Cynic, Scale the Summit and The Sword have no talent at all? Look, I love 80s metal, but if you think no modern bands have any talent, get your head out of your ass, and learn to appreciate the fact that although many modern metal bands (BFMV, Disturbed, pretty much any metalcore) are complete shit, there are a plethora of other modern metal bands that are fucking rad. And LOL at calling screamo stuff "just noise".

And Joe is a fucking beast =]

  • @98superglide1 Saying that modern metal is just noise and nothing more is an ignorant statement. There are plenty of talented musicians within that genre that aren't using distortion to cover up mistakes, they are using distortion because that is the style of music they are playing, and that is the sound they prefer. Think about what you are saying, and do some reasearch before you make such a broad statement about an entire genre of music. I do however agree, personally I prefer 80s metal more.

  • @DaKewlGuy1234 research*

  • Tommy Emanuel, Justin Bieber and 14 others disliked this.

  • 50000 dollar guitar and ur playing it

  • I will stop playn guitar

  • 16 people like miley cyrus and justin bieber

  • Great guitar playing... I've always been amazed at them country tele pickers in the tradition of James Burton... Smokin Joe's is smokin

  • how could you dislike this??

  • @SlimShady66616 they're the ones that are jealous. Go Smokin Joe!!!

  • @SlimShady66616

I guess people disagree with other people whose first name is Smokin', although it is not a common first name, it's nothing to get in a fuss about

  • @SlimShady66616 Right?? I mean it's one thing to dislike an iron maiden or queen video or something because of taste in music or whatever, but this is just obvious talent raping your face for four minutes.

  • @SlimShady66616 the only ppl to NOT like this would be the jealous ones

  • @SlimShady66616 haters gonna hate.

  • @SlimShady66616

    cause they jelly

  • @SlimShady66616 They're the women that he's laid with and refused to marry

  • @SlimShady66616 only jealous people ;)

  • I believe Smokin Joe has a future if he can get off them damn cigaretts.....

  • I thought it was only a broadcaster if there was NO neck p/u ? Wouldn't this be a tele?

  • Nice job on the Tiger Rag!

  • @ride8575 - OOps, I meant the 12th Street Rag!!

  • @ZakeWagner: the first song he played was Limehouse Blues.

  • Geez does he ever make any mistakes.

  • kid's got talent but needs to make his stuff flow better. its a bit too random and sporatic, if you want to appeal to the masses there needs to be an obvious direction to the playing.

  • @The727stpete727 but then again this is him improvising/piecing together random parts, and not performing actual songs.

the guy is solid as a brick on his originals as well as the covers.

check out his cd or the electric stuff in the studio on his channel.

    its proper good.

  • fook me im shit!!!

  • first song he plays?

  • HOLY SHIT!!!!!!

  • how can someone dont like this?wtf????

  • holy shit that ending solo fuckin made my jaw drop

  • awrsome

  • FUCK YOU! :D

  • WOW your it dude....

  • i wonder....has he been to a crossroads recently?

it would make me feel better about being shit lol

  • He surely makes the guitar sound like a chicken!

  • Jest wspaniały/...... wielki talent.... podziwiam:) pozdrowienia z Polski

  • SMOKIN!!!!! AWESOME!

  • Joe..I'm an old Santa Cruz guy..ya know Catayst.. Jerry Miller..those guys.. People thought I was nuts playing that stuff back in the 70's.. .Scary thing is you're so darned good.. Sacrier thing is you're going to get so much better over time. Hope I'm around to see ya.. good luck kiddo.

  • Must be tripping on a lot of Django Reinhardt and Lespaul. Very rare. Keep it Up!

  • I am now going to burn my guitars...

  • @98superglide1 hey, don't talk shit about 'modern metal' because metal now-a-days has 10x the talent it ever has.

  • @98superglide1 Takes a tone of talent, don't rag on it because you don't understand it.

  • @98superglide1 This is a falseity. Modern metal has actually evolved into a more neo classical perspective. You sound ignorant as fuck.

  • @plidan123

"This is a falseity. Modern metal has actually evolved into a more neo classical perspective. You sound ignorant as fuck."

Thats if we look at the progressive really refined stuff. But I agree.

  • Does anybody knows what he is playing at 1:22 please tell me, i really wanna know.

  • damn.......

  • the kid can play

  • keep practicing you are almost there.

  • There's always another Joe on deck, waiting to step up to tne plate. If I were Bonamassa I'd sign this kid to R&R Productions if he's still unsigned. Tal Wilkenfeld

is Australian as well as Gary Hoey, if memory serves.

  • The world needs more kids that can pick like this!

  • This is really amazing!

    I'm in love with 3:15 through3:30

Is he just jammin or is it a song?

  • @aPandorasboxofmusic the song that he is playing there is 12th street rag by Jimmy Bryant

  • holy prodigy

  • I agree, he's really good.

But all his stuff seems to sound the same to me. I mean, all fast picking and stuff.

Not saying that I'd be able to do something like that, but you know.

  • I sooooooooooooooooooooooooo want that guitar. My goal in life is to own an original Fender Broadcaster (L)

  • thumbs up if you read this comment

  • This is very good :)

  • Ok, this is going directly to My Favorites!

  • 1:48

    what a beautiful song! :D

  • please, whats the name of the first song he played?

  • brad paisley aint got nuthin on this guy

  • @bcsguitar22 single dumbest opinion ive ever heard in my life.

this guys good...but brad paisley is on another level entirely.

  • the dislike bars the size of justin biebers dick...oh wait there aint a bar there no more...

  • . Sloppy but not bad for a kid guitar slinger.

  • @Ronz00 are you serious??......someone surely has no idea what music is

  • @gibsonlp1102 I agree. You don't have a clue.

  • @gibsonlp1102 To give you the benefit of my strong doubts let me just suggest you take a look around youtube at the many great talents who are playing this kind of music with maturity, more expressively, without the noise, and with far greater musicality.

I only am implying that he sounds like a younger player which he is..

  • @Ronz00 to give you the benefit of my doubts that you acyually know what you are talking about.....he sounds like he is in his 30's......a bunch of professionals play messy until they are in the studio an get it perfect.....and he is a young player but the time it would take for other people to get this good at this age....is probably two or three times longer.....and i have looked around youtube and there are many people who can play riffs and notes.but nobody has the feel and attitude like him

  • @Ronz00 really.... let's see your chops up here in YouTube land.

  • 1:49 <3

  • I LOVE YOU

  • 2:29 that one song from spongebob!!

  • better than john mayer

  • we've got new rock legend !

  • this guy is WAY better than Jimi Hendrix or Eric Clapton. anyone who believes otherwise knows nothing about music

  • @gogobaga Now that's controversial....It can be argued.....but won't do so beacause this boy's really snokin'......

  • @gogobaga nope

  • @gogobaga apples and oranges.

  • good to see a eltric in the guys hand xD

  • woooww

  • Nice playing, nice guitar! Does it have the original control scheme or the modern one?

  • one of the sickest riffs i've heard at 1:22

  • @clovycolts12 def agree i wish i would have never stopped playing guitar when i was younger

  • @clovycolts12

Kinda resebles "Life in the Fast Lane" by The Eagles

  • @mrmadman86 Ya man absolutely does!...good call.

  • @clovycolts12 listen to 'stone free' by jimi hendrix!

  • @clovycolts12

It sound somewhat like a rendition of Ramble Tamble by Creedence Clearwater Revival

  • @clovycolts12 ye u right, but do you or does someone else know if there are tabs of that? i WANT to learn it!

  • Joe, did you quit using a thumb pick?

  • A nice try at copying Albert Lee, but too many fluffed notes.

  • @fuertefrank1 fuck off, id looove to see u play better. in probably about 12 years this kid is gonna be guitar god

  • Nice job and the guitar has a great tone

  • what style of playing is this called from 0:34?

  • @letterbekmen Gypsy Jazz

  • @letterbekmen Gypsy Jazz

  • THE holy grail

  • Uh?? 2pu Broadcaster? good play & good tone eeeeeeeeeeeeeee LOL

  • this strings are 0.09?

  • I hate telecasters with a passion :|

  • @Jiminibobster probably cuz you can only make a guitar sound half-good if you put 50 tons of distortion on it through 2348572309867kohm pickups
