  • Just to let people know, the first kick was 50 yards

  • He's a master with his feet like brees with his hands.. but American football don't compare to soccer... so he would never be a kicker in the NFL.. NFL kickers are players who couldn't hack it in soccer

  • you see, this is why you leave the field goals to the soccer guys ;)

  • i mean he took too many steps to the ball but hey i betcha he could get it down haha

  • People, Beckham has always been a football kicker at heart, I mean he puts em over the bar all the time.

  • your channel is so worth watching.

  • Lol Beckham can seriously be an NFL kicker at his age right now.. Now that would be sweet to see, since he is to old to play professional football.

  • @paletti727 He is not good enough for NFL lol

  • Oh my god... will you fucking UK "I'm better than the whole fucking world" fags quit with this "IT's FOOTBALL not SOCCER" type shit.

    Thanks

    Sincerely,

Everyone on the globe other than you.

  • @colinprprpr Errr Dear thick dipshit we are not better than the whole world by a long way BUT it is FOOTBALL not SOCCER! The clue is in the name if you can read.......and everyone else on the globe (you do realise that's not just america!) has FOOTBALL as the favourite sport, Cheers normal honest England and Newcastle Fan

  • @MsBeresford7 Meh... I personally call it football. But i'm just tired of the nonsensical complaining.

  • @colinprprpr lol everyone in the world is not america fuck off yankee muppet im czech and i think you lot are cunts

  • @jarkonsio thats cooooooooooool

  • @jarkonsio Why you no speak of Czech things like donkeys?

  • Beckham is always good :D

  • ahaha, i kick better than him,

  • honestly anyone who plays soccer like this guy can be a kicker in football.....

  • @killerhippo10 Yeah I lived in Europe for almost my whole life (11 years) played soccer in 2 pro leagues, and am a top scorer. Moved to Michigan2 years ago, and My 8th grade Middle school Tackle football team was looking for a kicker, and I gave it a try for my first time ever today and kicked off 48 yards(not that good but was pretty good) , and now am the kick off guy.xd

  • How about Ronald Koeman?

  • sign em up

  • he takes like a 10 step before kicking the ball fail !!!

  • @wjmouat6 Because that's how he does it when he kicks a freekick?

  • A lot of soccer players have been brought in as kickers in football. Jokes aside: Beckham as a NFL player would have been cool.

  • no...football meets american football ffs we (england) founded football first

  • he should be a kicker after he's done with galaxy

  • Football meets Handegg

  • @kyou42 oldest comment and stupid. GO learn about football codes to learn how they got their names.

  • pause at 0 seconds put fullscreen hold left arrow key and up arrow key repeatedly and enjoy ur game of snake!

  • @chwistyfuuul dude youre like a year late for that party...

  • how long was that ?

  • it doesn't count when you take 34032840 steps...

  • I don't get it....both in europe and USA the word is FOOTBALL, not futbol.

  • @marjanbaz futbol = spanish

  • Comment removed

  • @marjanbaz

It's coz the Americans are so determined not to acknowledge the correct & near-universal term for real football that the Spanish spelling OF THE SAME WORD is furthest they're willing to compromise.....

  • @supahdupahguy81 You do realize that the sport "football" has had a history going back hundreds (even thousands in some forms) of years and that both Association and American Football (as well as Celtic and Aussie and other forms) have legitimate claims to being successor sports to various early games?

Moreover, American College Football predates professional Association Football.

  • @ArchdukeJames

"Moreover, American College Football predates professional Association Football. "

    --

    Formation of NCAA = 1905

Formation of Football Association of England = 1863

"professional" is just semantics....even then they're were already a number of professional footballers being paid for playing football as far back as the 1880's...

  • @supahdupahguy81 The first college football game was between Rutgers and Princeton on November 6, 1869.

The first professional Association Football matches took place in the 1890's.

Amateur ball was played by both related sports prior to high level of play. The codified rules of Association Football, moreover, did not hold supremacy in GB until the game reached a more organized level of play. Thus the sundering with Rugby and other related sports.

  • @ArchdukeJames

"The first professional Association Football matches took place in the 1890's"

    --

Where's the source for this info?

Whats the definition of a "professional football match"? & why is that different to a football match that involves professional players?

"Professionalism" was first permitted by the Football Association in 1885.

    wikipedia[dot]org/wiki/History_of_association_football#From_amateurism_to_professionalism

  • @supahdupahguy81 Yes, my mistake. I was off by 5 years.

Regardless, high-level play in American Football (but not professional) predates Association Football's professional play. It's hard to say what level the amateur level association football was played at, considering there is nothing quite equivalent to American college football in the UK.

The first professional American football player was William Heffelfinger, playing on Nov. 12 1892.

  • @ArchdukeJames

"high-level play in American Football (but not professional) predates Association Football's professional play"

    --

The FA Cup, the second-most prestigious competition in England & oldest still-existing association football competition in the world, was first contested in 1872...

And also, though professionalism wasn't permitted until the mid 1880's, the practice of playing players specifically to play football had been around at least 10 years prior to that...

  • @ArchdukeJames Actually, the first modern Gridiron football game was played on November 9, 1861, at the University of Toronto between two teams made up of UofT students, the first professional Gridiron Football team was the Montreal Football Club which was formed in 1868, and the first professional Gridiron Football game was played in Quebec in 1872.

  • Our school kicker and punter are also on the soccer team. Our kicker actually quit soccer to focus on football. Our punter comes in on gamedays and practices once a week due to soccer. He can put 50-60 yards.

  • @dchang11 That's because there's far more money as a punter than a futbol player. LOL

  • @Kelann08 and far more people in the world watch futbol... but trust me in europe futbol players make way more money than the avg nfler

  • Kicking in practice is way different to in-game. You got to account for the snap, the hold, the fact that there are 6'5" 300lb guys on the other side trying to block your kick. Plus, Beckham gets a longer run up than time would permit if it were a real situational kick.

  • @akshonman You're right, but take into account that playing soccer(football) you are constantly under pressure as well, a lot more than the 5 or so seconds it takes to take a kick, so the switch over really wouldn't be a huge deal honestly.

  • Almost all of the NFL kickers have played soccer at some point most of them in high school.

  • i bet he could kick better than 80 percent of the nfl kickers

  • get a SA rugby kicker to do that, they kick over 60 metres i think that is 196.85 feet

  • @jmanistheman12345678 oh yea.. offer francois steyn a fat paycheck and he'll be nailing kicks from 60-70 yards out EASY

  • Why don't NFL teams sign MLS players then? I'm sure there are plenty of soccer players that have a leg as strong as Beckham's siting on the bench.

  • @ExpertDude13

    Ok..

i understand that you're an American & you may not be able to appreciate this, but....

Maybe soccer players don't want to play in the NFL coz American Football is boring?

Let alone JUST being a simple kicker, which means having to wait for a TD or FG attempt just to get the rare opportunity to take part in the game AT ALL, even then all u do is just kick the ball ONCE as hard as you can into a large goal with no goalkeeper then go back & sit down?

    Sounds tragically dull.

  • They should get Cristiano Ronaldo. He's GREAT at kicking them over the crossbar.

  • @flyguyking torres is much better than ronaldo

  • @flyguyking Or Fernando Torres, but he wouldn't even get it nearly on target. :D

  • @HoneDawgg yeah thats wide left or wide right

  • @flyguyking jajjajajajajaj bro ohhhh wowwwwww u gay right now,,,, if u trying to say that cr kicks better than beckam omg bro u should just kill ur self,

  • american futbol meets football

  • @toffee20 This was filmed in America. Football meets soccer. In other places it would be American Football meets Football.

  • i think thats it... (short by 10 yards)

  • I have a teammate who had to do double duty on the football and soccer team at school. He had several D1 soccer offers, but abruptly quit soccer to become a football kicker.

  • @dchang11 hmmm 75,000 maybe as an mls player or millions to kick 20 balls a day and be done easy deciscion if he goes pro my brother will probably do the same thing if a d1 school offers him a spot to kick theres no question

  • @dchang11

maybe he realised he didn't have what it takes to play soccer at a high level & opted for an activity which required less skill & independent thought?

  • @supahdupahguy81 Independent thought???? You've obviously never played American Football.

  • @supahdupahguy81 Ur kidding right? Please say you are kidding lmao.

  • @scott71785

    no dead serious....

Anybody who thinks being a simple gridiron kicker is harder than being a soccer player clearly has never played any sport ever in their entire life....

  • @supahdupahguy81 I never said it was harder... I disagree with your claims that it takes less skill and independent thought.

  • @scott71785

    Ok..

Anyone who thinks being a simple gridiron kicker takes more skill & independent thought than being a soccer play clearly has never played any sport ever in their entire life...

  • @supahdupahguy81 I never said it took more skill ^.^ lol... To be honest. You cannot compare a Futbol player, with a Football player. The games are completely different.

I think Field Goal kicking takes as much skill, but not as much independent thought. I think you have never attempted a 50 yard fieldgoal with 6'7 men jumping to try and knock it down just a few feet infront of you.... Oh and you have to get it between a 20 ft wide opening. Oh and the ball the ball doesn't fly straight.

  • @supahdupahguy81 I do not think field goal kicking takes as much physical ability. You do not need to be a total athlete to hit a 50 yard field goal... But I think it takes just as much practice and overall kicking skill to be a consistent field goal kicker under extreme pressure situations.

Oh also, I played sports most of my life. Football, Basketball, Baseball and Softball.... I'm not saying that to brag lmao... just saying that I am not someone that has never touched a ball before :P

  • @scott71785

I not saying kicking field goals requires no skill at all, it obviously does......but it's the type of skill you can learn & refine through repetition as the fundamental technique of it doesn't change much.....similar to taking a free-kick in soccer or a golf swing....

what im saying is that the overall skill-set of a soccer player is more broad as they have to be able to perform numerous tasks....it's like comparing Kobe Bryant to somebody who just shoots free-trows...

  • @supahdupahguy81 Yeah, and that is sort of exactly my point... You can't really compare them

  • @supahdupahguy81 its really not free throw distance is the same every shot, thers no wind or weather to consider either so your wrong

  • @paraich1

    :/

I didn't compare a free-thrower to a gridiron kicker, i compared an all-round basketball player to a free-throw specialist.....to help make the point that a soccer player has a broader range of skills than a gridiron kicker..

& in any case it's irrelevant coz a soccer player is subject to all the same environmental factors that any gridiron player is.

    Troll harder bro.

  • @supahdupahguy81 i intend to

  • In NFL is there a limit to number of steps taken?

  • @TheSL4D3Y There is no limit, if you go further back, you are giving the other team a better chance of blocking the kick because it would take you more time to kick the ball. There are other reasons too. Just watch a game of football and you will understand in a minute. =)

  • Soccer doesn't exist its just your bullshit word for a game which is older than your country :L

  • @JayEmCee2011 Soccer does exist. It is short for Association Football, the official name for your type of football. What you call American Football or Gridiron, we call football. Seriously stop arguing about the fucking names. And the country that soccer is older than, happens to be the world superpower. :L

  • whats the record for distance?

  • i would tell david to give it a real shot,,good kickers are paid well

  • Hry David with all the kicking problems that Dallas goes through your always welcome in Dallas

  • search andre heidari and see the future of kickers. he is USCs freshman schollie. He is a great soccer player who kicked all thru highschool and now is at USC..

  • Can't we all just agree that most professional sports are difficult and take a lot of dedication and require someone to develop and nurture their god given ability .. well except for golf ...golf is gay !

  • @markdrew3535 Thank you! And you know that nobody on here is a professional athlete in anything, lol.

  • Good kicks and all, but im just sayin..

he's taking extra steps which gives him more power.

  • @cracker4lifee its his technique... quick steps.. besides he did do the 3,2 drop. and it took about the same time as an nfl kicker.. unfortunately nfl kickers can only kick one way. give becks a day of nfl training and he'll be throwing down 60 yarders all day

  • @jesuistahmid actually his last kick is much more than the 3,2 drop.

  • @cracker4lifee Why don't football players take extra steps? Is it another gay American football rule?

  • @jimboboyyy because if they started any further back they'd take too long to kick the ball and get it blocked every time

  • @cracker4lifee ur alllowed to do that. from the line of scrimmage you dnt have to be 7 yards back. you can snap the ball wherever you want so you can have extra kicking room

  • ..............

  • soccer players are the best kickers

  • @yass278 rugby kickers aren't too shabby either ;)

  • Football meets handegg

  • @majesticdragoon Look up the definition of ball. it doesn't have to be perfectly round.

  • @TheMagicBolt

    Even then, handball

  • @majesticdragoon Look up football codes.. There are six... Your football's official name is association football.. shortened it is soccer.... there is also rugby football, etc.. and yes... american football.. Known as just "Football" in the US and Canada.

  • @majesticdragoon handball is already a sport..... Besides the only reason it is called Football in American and Canada is because it is one of the 6 codes of Football. It was more like Association Football (soccer) in its early stages it used the feet more, it evolved into what it is today, and the name just stuck.

  • @TheMagicBolt Let's use a stick then and call it a ball!

  • a stick isn't rounded and made for a use of a game. An American Football is aerodynamically round and used in a game. You point and comparison made no sense.

  • football meets women sports

  • This is why soccer's only use is to learn how to kick a ball a couple of times in a football game.

  • @gabejericogrant

your an ignorant fuck football and baseball are pathetic compared to soccer

  • @ceramicwhite420 YOU'RE calling someone ignorant? damn I'm a fan of both sports, and soccer players do have high endurance, and a high level of finesse but you can't dismiss football like that. I mean the level of athlete that plays in the NFL is unbelievable. someone who is 6'4", runs a 4.4 40 and bench presses 225 25 times is pretty common. not to mention the 300 pound guys who run sub 5 second 40's

  • Football meets coconut-ball...

  • @supahdupahguy81 coconuts are round......

  • @supahdupahguy81 Football meets American Football

  • Unbelievable Tekkers!

  • When I went to the US once and watched a highschool's American Football match I was always thinking: " I bet I could beat that kicker." And I'm not even that much of a soccer player. If more soccer players, retired ones for instance, would join American Football teams, I think they could take kicking to a whole nother level.

  • @LaughingOutKraut Yeah, but most high schools don't have very good kickers.

  • Listen yanks...that's TEKKERS!!

  • we need this guy on the redskins

  • football meets throwball*

  • @ZeeGooner i've been saying tackleball as much as i can, lol tell ur friends

  • does he want to kick for the jets?

  • I sure hope that guy realizes that he spelled "relies" incorrectly before pointing out someone's lack of intelligence again

  • beckham beats the record in his first kick ...amazing !!!

  • @JCrealmadrid Are you retarded?

  • the record is 63 and the first FG was 50

  • how far was that field goal? 63+?

  • @ratedr3nigma

Fuck u America is the best country so u could go suck a fat cock

  • @emin3mowns1 What? Naaa, I DONT THINK SO.

AND ABOUT THE FAT COCK... THAT WOULD BE AMERICAN COCK, RIGHT? CUZ THEY'RE ALL FAT.

  • @ratedr3nigma How do u kno all American cocks r fat.. Oh wait Ur probably gay

  • @emin3mowns1 I didnt say anything about cocks, i said that the people are fat!

  • Reggie Bush would whoop his ass. Therefor America > Cock tuckers "across the pond"

  • @DrHooligan312 FUCK AMERICA

  • I agree with jddaig93 it was more like a kickoff than a field goal except without the tee still pretty good though.

  • the record was set by a straight-on kicker

  • this is stupid... it was obv beckam pwned the goal... and he aint use to NFL ball either??. whotf u think u are americans

  • nothing against him but that was more like a kickoff and not a typical place kick. most kickers in the nfl can do that witg their kickoff steps too

  • He destroyed the Nfl Kick reccord o_o

  • its funny seeing the pure stupidity of all the people of different country's talking smack on America. really lets you know how simple minded the smaller less fortunate country's of the world are sadly....

  • @stonesour3366

    Haha, brainwashed monkey...

In the TOP 25 cities by quality of life index, there are 22 european and NONE American. The first one is Honolulu on 30th place haha.

We have free health care, MUCH less poverty, better education etc. etc.....

Now do your maths and PLEASE REPLY!!!

  • @slopri its sad seeing people like you represent you're country in this way. It really tells me something about you're people. I hope you relies that all this pointless arguing you are doing is showing you're lack of intelligence in the sense that you are feeding off information simply typed into google. if you wanted i would have been up for a simple debate. However id rather do that with someone with a higher caliber of intelligence

  • @stonesour3366

What I was saying was correct and true so don't judge my intelligence. If you can't handle the truth than you don't need to.

  • @slopri well if i say "the sky during the day is black" and i claim it to be correct and true it doesn't mean anything at all since i CLAIM it to be true, right? Be careful with the anger and amusement you are hitting you're keyboard keys with, your keyboard might break.

  • football owns FATBALL

  • @G1gg1tyGoo Nope, they dont because they are beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeter ;)

  • @ratedr3nigma ok right......umm why do u hate America?

  • @G1gg1tyGoo I dont have enough space in here to write more than 10 reasons.

  • @ratedr3nigma ok then write the biggest one?? i need to know where we went "wrong"

  • @G1gg1tyGoo Americans THINK, That they are the center of the universe, that everything is about america. I live in the us but im not american and when i try to watch the news is aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall about U.S

American football, us news, economy, politics ETC ETC.

They have a loooooooot of races and they just think about themselves.

They're always in war (ww1,ww2,vietnam, and they are gettin' involved in the korean)

I been in other countries, and they're not like this, they are warmer.

  • @ratedr3nigma ohk...i see well we are always at war because we have a lot of allies who cant defend themselves but im not one for politics so i guess im not best suited to argue that. but with football? i play football i live football and i breathe football and whats wrong with it? our economy idc...and politics....ugh...but what do u mean with "races"?

  • @ratedr3nigma your country got whooped by the nazi's so stfu you big pussy. living anywhere other than America is a downgrade, that's why you are living here. bitch, bow down.
