  • I wonder what is the lightest pound test line you could use, and still bring up that fish, 12LB maybe?

    Thanks!

    Great video!

I love the Old South, too bad what is happening in this world.

  • @yajustgotaloveit One Feb. night back in 1984,,, we were fishing in Taw-Caw Creek when we caught a 30 lb Flathead on one of my white bass rods (6 ft power stik with amb. 1000c reel) using a live shiner on 10 lb test stren line! Took about 30 mins to wear him down, but we caught him!

I am 55, back when a child, my family drove from CT to FL for vacations, went over the Santee Bridge with the sign of the Striped Bass many times. Land was for sale on the South East side of bridge only $100 acre! I rememeber the old Smiths firecracker restaraunt. Love the old motel with the diner- great Southern Breakfast there! I vacation at the state park.

  • @yajustgotaloveit Those were the days weren't they! Dad started fishing down there in 1968 I think... he started taking us down there shortly after! I have the same memories that you do! Missing those days...

  • man if im ever down there i know the go to guide!
