  • As I've said before, Richard Glazier is a true American treasure. What he has done with Gershwin is deserving of a Nobel prize. If Obama & Al Gore got one, why shouldn't Mr. Glazier?

Richard Glazier got only 1 negative vote. {Could that have come from Michael Feinstein?} Glazier is not only a brilliant pianist, but a 1st rate raconteur with a magnificent voice.

Mr. Glazier's Gershwin lectures are on par with Dr. Robert Winter's Beethoven & Mozart lectures. That's a pretty high compliment!

  • Aunt Esther? My grandmother was Esther! And you mention Levant--my father had a classic 78 of 'Rhapsody'--but lent it to his uncle--never saw it again. I love this video! It brings me back to that same feeling ringing Lucille Ball's door in 1988. I love that picture of you with Ira G!

  • Woah :) well I can definitely say Gershwin's Prelude Nr. 1 got me to LIKE piano... Because until I heard that recording of the Labeque sisters play something OTHER than classical music... - it was something new... and very interesting. You're a great pianist!
