@RCSVirginia please peddle your cultural marksism somewhere its appreciated. When the state dictates to society how they should feel. That is oppression. This man served God for many years. Who and the hell do you and Swedish meatballs think you are? You think you can shut down someones beliefs and foundations because you feel you are more enlightened and righteous? Pity, he must have his own sexuality issues being a homophobe to condemn others. As a longtime Lutheran pastor, he should know Jesus came not to condemn, nor does the Father forsake us, so we shouldn't be condemning gays or those different than us. He needs to open his mind and get out in the world. If he had a gay son or daughter he would change his tune. I am shocked at his small mindedness. He might be hiding his own sexuality like many who scream at issues like this.

The reason the elca is going in the direction it is because the church body rejects the authority of scripture. when you do that anything goes. This recent move made by the elca is just one of many departures from scripture. This decision is no different that the one to ordain woman to the pastorate in the late 60's
