@Danik112 geez, so many languages, you find that one particularly easy to work with, or just the one you picked to learn, trying to self teach myself java, and taking a C++ class. i'll be watching LD this year, didn't even know about it til a few weeks ago, now I can't wait
@littleredcar Well, actionscript 3 is pretty easy to use for games, it shares a lot of the syntax with Java, there's loads of tutorials, it's pretty high level and it's flash, which means your game will be super accessible, a good thing for LD.
Java is not that hard either, but I would avoid c++ if you want to get results quickly, as it has a much higher difficulty threshold.
I would look into as3 game libraries such as Flixel or Flashpunk if I were you.
@Danik112 unfortunately every programmers i talk to tells me to work on something different. I'm new to programming but i really want to learn it, and was told java was the easiest thing to start, but this was a while back.
@littleredcar Java is probably a good place to start learning about programming concepts such as classes and object oriented programming. I have learned most of my general programming skills in java myself. It's nice for learning, but actionscript3 will probably let you have a working game faster.
I guess it depends on if you want to learn it right for the future and get a solid understanding (java), or just use it as a tool to make a game (as3).

@koekoeka Thanks Sanguine! It's a song called "Bassassassin" that I made a while ago, and made a bit longer for this video.
