Uout of this world. Music and mathematicsa are intwined yet my violin teacher at my age of 12 was boring and only interested in teaching his colleaque tamil teacher's daughter who went on to be a violin exponent.
If you look at all Kunnakudi's concert, one thing strikes very clearly. He always performs with his own group of people and goes with FULL BENCH. He pays them all and they all lived with Kunnakudi till his death as a family. You would not have seen Kunnakudi with popular accompanying artists after 1975, except the challenges with great tavil vidwan "Valaiapatti Subramanian".
beauty of his violin is that it touches my nerves all the time and give me goose hairs....... great man...sadly he passed away but his performances still live among us;
KV was a greatest artist of his kind, we will miss him for sure. But bharatmata is so great, it has given young artists like Ganesh n kumaresh, L Subramaniam and his young son Ambi and many more. artists are like gods of nadha..keep coming with the blessings.
In talent he is only matched by another genius Mysore T Chowdaih..Indeed it is a great loss to the field of carnatic music..Vacuum created by his death will be felt very long.
His violin magic was matched by his humility. What a truly great genius! He had this remarkable ability to stop a song at a random point, to greet (on violin, say by playing "vaanga, vaanga") a friend who just walked in and then resume from the same precise point! Amazing human CD!
mindboggling, simply superb........we all knew he was the greatest..........I wonder if we will ever come across another giant like him ........GOD bless his soul
Dr KV is the greatest genius in violin, I have lot of respect on him. It is a great loss to the music lovers, especially Violin. The violin maestro gone. I really saddened to his death.
Would India or world would ever see a genius like him? He is a legend. Sir, you would always remain in our mind. Any violin strings would remind you..
He is an eccentric (observe his wild shirt) genius, and somewhat unpredictable. I recorded this number because it can be cross-referenced to Aruna Sairam who sang the same song earlier in the season.
@carnaticopia aruna is amazing and kunnakudi is awesome! whoever u are, u are sure doing a service to people like me, waking up a bit late to carnatic music
Simply MAGICAL!!!!!!!!!

Violin dances in his hands. The soul rejoices and
one goes into trance:)- Lord Muruga will come down to listen to his songs.
KV will always be remembered by the sound of his music. We are still blessed to hear his music.
Simply awesome !!

I don't see any lack of grace. Kunrakudi Vaidyanathan has done this piece very well with great devotion to Muruga.

sorry to say, but this rendition lacks grace, continuity and melody. no doubt he is great tho.
