  • Bassy played for Brooklyn Usa.Only if Brooklyn Usa was how it use to be.

  • wow who the hell is the guy who dunked. he must have like flunked 8th grade about like 10 times or somethin

  • wow the guy who dunked at the end off a bassy pass was in 8th grade??

  • prolly not bassy just played up his age

  • song?

  • to all the ppl saying telfair shoulda went to college..if he went to college he wouldve gotten his jumper exposed therefore costing the millions that he got for being drafted so high the year that he came out...his family is living in the projects he needs to get them outta there from his perspective this was a perfect time to leave

  • college would've helped him develop his shot though

  • u damn right they tell me im going 1st round guaranteed contract..shit ill take that million and worry about school lata

  • he woulda got more money playing for rick pitino anywyas

  • telfair should've gone to college to improve his game and better prepare him for the nba. Instead he though about the spinning rims and the chain on his neck he would get by going to the nba. lol. i guess he felt alot of pressure from coney island..

  • dude. shut up

  • he skipped college because he wanted to make money to take care of his family that was struggling..if you were in his shoes then you would know..

  • shit i would've done the same shit too.lol . i just felt that the college experience would've helped...but hey money is money.

  • obviously you haven't watched the show on his life man. someone got killed in his building so he decided he wanted to move his family out.

  • Bad video quality.

  • sick...anyone see his kicks?! penny iv's.

  • i play for brooklyn USA ziggy still coaching that joint!

  • good vid but the quality sucks BALLS!!

  • greatest pg outta n.y. well one of the greatest at least.

  • bullshit!

  • libid24 i dont know what ya sayn' but he was sure better than me in 8th grade.

  • Telfair was nice but in the NBA you only get a little bit of time to produce especially if you come out of HS. Right now Telfair is a 3rd string guard at the end of the bench. I just don't think coaches are gonna give him anymore oppurtunities to shine. Real talk.

  • if he didn't, that shows you how good bassy was

  • Yeah, I pretty much agree.

He's just a low to mediocre player in the NBA. I haven't seen him improving at all. Truth is, he wasn't ready to be an NBA player. Should have gone to college so coaches could've realized his real value and potential or lack thereof.

  • You don't see him improving? I guess you havent been watching him this season because his playmaking skills are 10x better than what they were in the past. The only thing he hasnt improved on yet is still his J, which is definitely going to hurt him.

  • Let's see some stats comparison:

    Sebastian Telfair:

    2006-07 PPG:6,1 - APG:2,8 - RPG:1,4

    2007-08 PPG:9,5 - APG:6 - RPG:2,3

    Hmm...

Not much of an improvement, except if you think that 3 more assists per game is THAT huge of a difference.

Look: sincerely, I haven't seen him improving in a good curve at all since his first year in the league.

    Draw your own conclusions now.

  • Do you watch their games at all? You have to look past the stats, he runs the team WAY better than he has in the past, making better decisions, and he is barely turning the ball over

I want you to watch games from last season and watch games from this season and compare them. Watch how different his game is, if you actually watch and analyze his during the games instead of trying to be a fucking stat whore you can see the difference.

  • I am an avid NBA fan and I do watch Sebastian Telfair's evolution as a player, rest assured, otherwise I wouldn't be here talking to you about this matter.

Having said that, I 'll repeat it to you that Telfair's improvement from last year is not so huge as you think it may be: in fact, it's very small to even be taken under serious consideration.

  • Basketball is a sport where numbers and stats DO COUNT, sonny. If not, then what else can we judge? Everything else is secondary and subjective. Stats and numbers are the concrete factor regarding basketball and they are the solid facts that we can use when judging a player's carreer.

So, again, by the numbers alone if not anything else, Sebastian Telfair is a low value player who has not improved his game much from last season.

    Is it clear yet?

  • I never stats don't count, they do, but anybody can tell you they don't tell the whole story. According to you stats are the end all be all of determining a players value. So by your standards Kobe Bryant last year is better than this years? Al Jefferson is probably better than Tim Duncan and KG, right? Jamaal Crawford is better than Chauncey Billups too ha?

  • Stats are what counts the most in a basketball discussion, in a general sports' one and especially when determining a player's real evolution without risking to fall into miscomprehentions.

1-Al Jefferson this year is playing at an equal productive level compared to KG and TimmyD, amazingly yes.

2-Crawford scores more but Chuncey shares better. I say Crawford is a better overall guard at the moment than Billups.

3-Kobe is pretty much as good as last year.

  • 1 - In terms of points and rebounds, Big Al is equally productive. But he is nowhere near the caliber of defender that KG and TD is and he does not make his teammates better. He is black hole most of the time and dislikes passing out of the double team. On the other hand, TD and KG create many open shots for their teammates from the low or high post by the attention they draw.

  • 2 - I am sorry but saying Crawford is a better overall guard than Chauncey shows some sign of retardation in you. Go to any forum any you will get flamed for saying that.

3 - Kobe this year is head and shoulder above the one from last year. He is playing smarter, taking better shots, involving his teammates more than ever before, and playing tremendous defense as well.

  • 2- No way. The one dementially retarded here is you. Jamal is being huge this year and remember: we 're talking about how things are as of NOW. Of course Billups is a great player that has done great things for the Pistons but he's actually getting old while Crawford is ascending to be a great guard and he's slightly better than Chauncey this year.

  • 3-Kobe's D is suspect as usual but not bad. He's as terrific as he was last year the only change being he takes slightly less shots but he dishes slightly more to his companions. Also, take note: The Lakers started winning for real after they got Gasol and not because Kobe changed something significantly great to his game compared to last year.

But back to Telfair: he hasn't really improved compared to last season.

  • well all I can say to you is that AT LEAST he's in the league WTF are you doing besides criticizing a developing soon to be nba star point guard.

  • sebastian is a bust

  • the guy who dunked it mustve flunked 8th grade about 4 times

  • It's "Caliber" You Dumbasses.

  • imborednsu954

the fuck, show you one person who dominates in the league other than lebron? ok, lets see, kobe bryant, kevin garnett, dwight howard, monta ellis (not really dominate but all star calober) tracy mcgrady, amare stoudamire

  • i agree wit every1 but monta ellis? cmon hes pretty good but not even close 2 dominate and dwight howard is gettin there not monta tho

  • damn lol i remember back in the summer i was gonna play in a middle school league but my coach didnt let me because i had already finished 8th grade & was about to start high school

damn i would have tore it up but not as bad as bassy lol

  • it's a shame he might end up getting killed for having fabulous shot

  • they're direct cousins, no distance

this footage is from his summer going into his freshman year, so he technically wasn't really an 8th grader anymore

  • im witchu imborednsu954 ima telfair fan to trhese dick heads needa op off and stop hatin on him look sebastian is a young pretty much still a kid he needs to mature a lil more thats it and i GAURENTEE chris paul didnt dominate high skool like sebastian did sebastian is a brooklyn legend

  • how can you say you know anything about basketball andcall bassy a bum?? show me one person who has been dominate in the league jumping straight from highschool not named lebron.... U dick heads couldn't dominate at the YMCA in your city and your hating on a 5'11 point wow

  • Mosses Malone =p old school nigga.

  • Wow, Only 1 person who's dominate in the league not named lebron eh? I'll give you two.

    Tracy Mcgrady

    Kobe Bryant

  • im obviously the biggest telfair fan here and thats fine he should've went to college because he needs a midrange game or a consistent 3 pointer because everyone plays him for the drive all of you non basketball fans will be lost with this comment

  • hey trade to boston can restart his career. watch out for this kid

  • he should've went to college i believe, but i believe now that he's in boston and has better finishers, paul pierce, and others, he'll do better. watch him get much better, and pierce is already helping him on the jump shot problem.

  • if he had gone to college he couldve had lebron level numbers in the nba

  • sebastian telfair, chris paul and SERGIO RODRIGUEZ are the future of the NBA

  • SERGIO RODRIGUEZ WTF???!

  • Porland is a mess. Jarred Jack fit more into Nate Mcmellon's Coaching scheme. People seem to forget that today's stars like Tmac and kobe didn't start blowing up till after a couple seasons. kobe and tmac both averaged like 7 points their rookie years. Same with K-Garnett and Jermaine O'neil. He's freakkin barely 22. give telfair time.

  • Your rite about the Chris Paul comment but im sayin u do have to take in consideration Bassy came rite out of high school, so he is still maturing. I think he will be a great pg in the NBA in the future watch out for this dude.

  • but that has been his problem in the nba.. he thinks he can still score like he did in highschool and he obviously can not.. until i see him focusing on distributing the ball more than shooting and trying to get to the rack , i can not seem him having any kind of major impact in the nba...so whose game do you see bassy's most like when it is all said and done?

  • chris paul is the future of pt guards in the nba.. bassy will be a good pro and thats about it..

  • so he was benched in portland because of his poor play and then traded only 3 years after he was drafted?..but is one of the best pt guards in the league? has that ever happened to an elite pt guard at the start of his career? Great players are at the top or near the top by their 3rd-4th year like MJ,Lebron , WAde ,Melo on and on... no way this kid is considered one of the best pt guards in the league in the next two years..

  • all those players that u just mentiond are all scorers(guads) bassy is a pg he aint gotta score to be good

  • at his best he is a poor man's allen iverson...who do you compare him too? He is no iverson.. he is much shorter than even iverson,, telfair isnt a great finisher and not a great shooter..so what is his game?

  • hes the fastest guy in the leauge hands down. he cnt be guarded one on one and hes proven that. hes got the best vision (thats wat every nba coach says) and he can finish

  • @mas03 Fastest guy in the league...I think not...Chris Paul clearly excels at everything better than Sebastian Telfair...come on now

  • he is nothing special.. no better than a jason williams, kirk hinrich, speedy claxton or deron williams..average nba pt guards..

  • ur tellin me hes not better than deron williams?

    i dno wat u watch

  • @mas03 i think u guy are drunk .. DERON WILLIAMS IS THE BEST POINT GUARD IN THE LEAGUE!!

  • @mas03 LMFAO. You sound like a dumbass. Who the hell is telfair?

  • @mas03 yea telfair is good man real good way better than thos epg's just not the recognition

  • he is a little overrated.. he is nice but isnt going to be anything special..he is no better than jason williams, kirk hinrich, or speedy claxton..nothing special..

  • for real man. and he is gonna be sick in a few years in the L.

  • All of yall shut up there real cousins

  • he is step couzin

  • yea he is starburys cousin

  • he not cold in the nba now but he will be soon

  • He was the olny one that was in 8th grade he was playin players that were 3-4 years older than him

  • He is.

  • yes he is..
