The microphone onboard the camera is almost always insufficient. I learned the hard way. Consider getting a lavalier mike and a small digital recorder. Then consider getting Final Cut Pro X (ok, you'd have to have a Mac) to do the editing, as it will almost effortlessly sync the external audio with the video/audio from the camera. The results will pay off in ways you could never even imagine. I wish you all the best!

@forensicdrew Thanks for the great tip! Yes, I agree about the cheap mics they put on the cameras. I have a Zoom H2 that I will be working with and will sync it with my camera. By the way, you have a great channel and I just subscribed. All the best to you as well!
