OH how I wish I could play guitar like you. You sound so natural with it like it's always been a part of you. A beautiful song and I really liked the harmonies too. There may be a market niche for candles for songs. I can imagine a wall of different time lengths ... 3min 40s, 4min 5 etc ... ;-)

@skylark51 Thanks Marian thats kind. This is my first crack at a song using open C tuning. I found it fun messing around with it working out chords and stuff. I think I will keep a guitar tuned like that all the time so I learn a bit more and get to know it like standard tuning. Nice to hear from you.

Your song and video are a charming reminder that the bluebell season is not too far away now. They are among Ange's and my favourites and we have lots in our front garden (just leaves at present). Every year they spread a little further.

Great song, Dave. There was a bluebell wood near where I grew up. It was more of a copse actually, but your beautiful song has reminded me of the magic that I always felt when I went there as a kid. Loved the "hyacinth sea" line. Those 2 words seem to go together so well. What happened to your hair?! :-) Is it getting warm up there? It's still cold in Japan. And has just reminded me of a worship song "who paints the skies into glorious days" I am using my old Tanglewood guitar for this one. I am playing in open C and have decided to keep that guitar tuned in that way to try and learn my way around it.
