The character design for Hinagiku is based on Utena Tenjou and Lacus Clyne, basically (she cosplayed both during the series).

The "ripoff" of Shana is Nagi, the pigtailed loli. She's a tsundere and she's voiced by the same actress, Rie Kugimiya. Choosing Kugimiya-san, however, was an intentional move to link her, Shana and Louise (another tsundere dubbed by the same seiyuu).
