Unfortunately, I was in school when this was on. If this show originally aired on September 14, 1966, it was my first full week of school as a fourth-grader.
(I do have on tape the show that aired the day before: the one with Eddie Albert and Bea Benaderet.)
Frank Sutton was a marvelous actor, particularly when he played the role of Sgt. Carter on "Gomer Pyle, USMC". I always wondered, however, if he could actually "feel the actual anger" inside of himself everytime he lost his cool on that show with those moments he always had with Jim Nabors? Maybe all that steam he let out for years led to his fatal heart attack??
@luvthoseclips, actually according to Ronnie Schell, Frank Sutton used to constantly smoke Brazilian cigarette and drank coffee, which some say led to his death.
I just noticed that twice the game host had to stop Frank from putting his hand on his chin..that was rather interesting..I wonder if it had to do with the t.v. audience and them seeing what he was saying and or from "cheating" in the game?
I never really noticed that before..and it was right in front of me! LOL!!
ANybody know anything about Frank Sutton as a person? I have been trying to find web sites and more about him!!

I hope everyone is 'anti war', but Frank Sutton supported Nixon...and if he was here today, he'd vote Romney/Palin '12

I love Password and wish GSN would show it again. I'm not a big fan of Password Plus or Super Password. The original was the best, as usual.

Talk about being risque! That's nothing compared to what's on daytime TV today: "Who's my Baby's Daddy?" and so forth.
