I was looking for this a long time ago!, only God knows why I get here until now, this opening is one of my favorites from all the anime I used to watch on my childhood. Thanks for share this precious memory.

I like more this song than the japanese one, this is very strange because I like more the original anime songs than the horrible theme songs used on the american versions (it's a fact that, videogames and anime are really screwed up when are adapted to the american market).

glorious truely a great testament to when kids tv was good i.e. had a plot, and engageing characters and most importantly didnt talk down to you.

i guess the pc police would have a problem with this well they can go suck it.

Even though I love both this and the Disney version, I preffered this one as it was closer to the books. Kaa was Mowgli's companion, not a villain. I didn't like that they made Kaa a bad character in the Disney version, and Shere Khan was a lot more vicious in this one. Disney dumbs it down as usual but it's still enjoyable.

I hate to admit it but I love this even more than the Disney version! It's very accurate to the original stories by Rudyard Kipling. :)

And Kaa is not a villain in this. He's Mowgi's friend beside Baloo and Bagheera.

He was the one who tried to physically protect him from Shere Khan.

I don't like that Disney made Kaa turn against Mowgli. Totally destroyed the friendship :( But I love both versions. And Shere Khan is a lot scarier in this.

this is truly very good but very old classic it came out in either 1987 or 1988 but iv had the vhs tape for this since i was about 6 yrs old im 23 now we still have it some where around here its probably still in very good condition because we didnt watch it that much lol i didnt even know untill 3 weeks ago they has 50 episodes for this we just have the first tape lol but it brings back childhood memories lol check it out you guys....

True nostalgia. I remember growing up watching this show, 100 times better than the disney version.

Really, really, really regret I didnt buy the complete serie when I was a kid; impossible to get hold of now unless you fancy the japanese version.

your right about it being hard to find it came out in like 87 or 88 and your right i think it is better then disney version this is more classical because of its age and because it will be close to impossible to find this whole collection for the english version and if i did find it i would want to buy it on vhs back when thier wasnt youtube and all that, it holds more value in vhs form lol
