  • Yes, that's true. 'By choice', as it was mentioned on a website ' (don't know the name of the site anymore). He bought it for 550 dollars, somewhere in the beginning of the '80's. I play a Goldstar too, very good banjo's: very loud (but not over the hill...) and with a nice prewar sound. Goldstar-banjo's became famous, somewhere in the '70's when Gibson made their banjo's of lesser quality. W. kind regards,
