is there a problem in the bulldog breed that makes mating difficult so this is the only reliable way to get litters? i though AI was only for ppl who wanted certain traits in their dogs but couldn't get to the stud themselves due to long distances. i am not a breeder of any animals i am just curious.

@uching bulldogs need special breeding ways :/ there too short to really get on the female, and also once the female gives birth they need a C section, bulldogs are the "disabled" dogs basically, they would NEVER exist without humans

Ive done the exact same thing with my pomeranian but I use feeding tubes instead of the sleeve thing, and instead of a plastic bag i use a plastic cup =) I've done AI 3 times and all 3 have been successful! I'm so glad you made this video to help those that dont know how to AI do it correctly. Great job!

hey Diego thanxs for reply man, mine english bulldog is in season running 3 day of heat, planned PG test on 7 day, but mine concern is her size as she is miniture bulldog and of 17 months( plz check in mine videos).Is there anything i should worry about?? I have read bully mostly have 2 or 3 puppies, but as i have seen most of your litter is around 6-8...Is there any risk of bully mama abdomen full of puppies..What is best way to decide date of AI like by counting days or getting PG done...

Breyerhorsegirl you say get one from the pound! Yeah right try and find a bulldog in the pound and see how long the list is to adopt one! I have a bully and love her and plan on breeding her so I can have 2 more in the house this breed is awesome they are wonderful with kids an are chill! My heart goes out to those dogs being euthanized but that's from all those damn puppie mills and irresponsible breeders. This guy knows what he's doing and I doubt an of his puppies will end in the pound!

Diego suppose I inseminated her on days 10 and 11 and I count the 63 days in between that time what are signs you look for to see if she got pregnant? I inseminated her on those days because my vet did a progesterone test and said to inseminate her asap or that I might had miss her heat what do u think? @mschfmng3 They usually don't eat well the first couple of weeks, sleep a lot more than usual, sometimes a little white discharge and sometimes can get aggressive towards other female dogs..

@jaseh2009 10 cc syringe with out the plastic inside and yes you have to place your hand behind the gland and hold it, or he will not ejaculate he will just put it back in.

Hi I have a few questions. We are breeding my english bulldog with a friend of mines dog. The first day, we went by your video, the dogs penis was inside my dog but they did not stay together. We did however hold them togethe for a long period of time. Today was day two. We decided to try this articial insemination. Instead of the long little tube we used a dropper? Is it still possible for her to get pregnant?

I dont think it could be possible you need to pass the cervix in order for her to get pregnant and a dropper would not do that, but let me know how it went!
