how come mic's mic volume is always turned down too low? on neverender i could barely hear him when he screamed, unless thats just how he does it. and on here u couldnt hear him at all during the "ha ha! ha ha!" part of backend of forever. im just wondering cuz mic is awesome and should be heard more :D

Chris Penne is awesome, and plaease don't take this the wrong way becasue I love Coheed and Cambria, but it just seems like he should be playing in a little more technical band. I mean he used to play for Dillinger Escape and that is some wildly technical and difficult music to play and while Cohhed and Cambria isn't a cakewalk it's just kind of a shock to see him lpaying with them. Either way I don't think they could've picked a better drummer. Chris Penne is crazy talented.

Personally, I'm digging Gil Sharone in Dillinger more than Chris. Chris is an amazingly technical drummer, but Gil just has more feeling in the way he plays, he can replicate the old Chris Pennie stuff live but he just doesn't write that way, which suits the bands current direction more.

i get your point but in all fairness pennie is playing to previous drummers patterns. especially the last album where taylor hawkins did the drums. also claudio has sated in an interview before that he wanted the drums to be simpler to give the songs a better drive. simplicity is not always a bad thing

I understand that. I'm not saying Chris' playing isn't good and trust me I'm a big fan of simplicity. Simple music is sometimes some of the best music. I'm just saying it's wierd to see him playing with Coheed and Cambria after playing with someone like The Dillinger Escape Plan.

I agree with your last statement...the Eppard family are amazing musicians. I live a couple hours away from Kingston/Woodstock and had an opportunity to take lessons from Joey (and am going back a second time next week) and the guy is simply a genius...3 is an amazing band!!!!!!!!

One of the things I've always loved most about this band is that not only are they amazing musicians, but they're clearly genuinely good people. It's a brave move to go on such an epic tour of 4-night shows like this, considering how many bands just sell out nowadays and completely forget about their old stuff.
