@MIDNIGHTMoviesATYT I didn't think you could ever confuse Jack Palance with someone else. He had one of the most recognizable faces in the whole industry in my opinion.
really enjoyed this wonderfully directed film filled with lots of talented actors! i love the real horror movies! they surely do not make them like this any more! wish they would. love the 60's and 70's horror movies thanks so much for the post!
Just bought the DVD at a Big Lots just for something to watch and ended up loving it and Im 25 and love these old Retro Horror Movies, the Jack Palance story is the best one, good ending too, campy but good.
@alivepool Saw you liked this one. I love these old portmanteau movies. Have you seen the granddaddy of them all, 'Dead of Night'? Its black and white, slightly postwar but great! Try to find 'The house that dripped Blood'-thats pretty good.
The superlative works of Amicus! Thanks so much for this and the other fantastic videos, a collection to rival Canning's unpublished Poes. Great work by all, esp. Burgess, Palance, the inimitable Peter Cushing and the underrated great Michael Ripper (the last one to face the Sybil).
Hard to think about comments when you're just busy enjoying the film (for the 8th or 9th time....and JUST as good as the first!) :)
But forrykid is right: at the very least an enormous THANK YOU is due to the good Baron. Not just for this (my personal favourite), but for the Amicus, Hammer and Vincent Price festival that's made these last few months so very enjoyable. BRAVO!!!!!
Well, let me be the one to say "Thanks" for a rather interesting excursion into the macabre, made back when horror movies were creepy and had actual plots,
acted by a group of highly talented professionals.
The script by "Psycho" author Robert Bloch gives you a rather well-rounded group of adapted stories.
The guy with the moustache looks and sounds exactly like Jack Palance?...is it?

Thanks for uploading. Never seen this one before. I wasn't quite as sold on it as others but it's got a great ending.

Love this film. So smart and stylish with a wry, close-to-the-vest humor about its ghoulishness.
