The fall behind has started. A good majority of the Republican Governors who promised jobs and tax breaks now have approval ratings at 45 and below. Rick Scott of Florida is near George Bush status at 25%. 2012 will be the final nail in the coffin for the Repubs. Dems get back the house, and retain the senate and white house.
lmao, the republicans are the saviours of the constitution? Are people already willing to think that voting for the same elite reach-arounders will change anything?
The republicans and democrats are the fucking same, where were you pigs when the patriot act was signed, or the WMD's were never discovered, or people were being tortured openly?
THe two party system is an illusion of choice, they all back the bankers who are looting our western nations, wake the fuck up!!!
Ha Ha .....sTOP CRYING, IT IS GOING TO HAPPEN AND THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO. PEOPLE ARE DYING. HOW MUCH DID BLUE CROSS PAY YOU TO POST HERE?? THIS TIME TOMORROW I WILL BE WATCHING FOX JUST TO ENJOY ALL THE BABIES WHO NEED changing.
What a bunch of clowns. They have no agenda, no ideas, and no willingness to collaborate with the left to pass anything useful to the people who put them in. The speakers of their party consist of Rush, Beck, and Hannity who do nothing more than spread hate, smear, and fear, which has become their running theme in that party. This after all is the party of Nixon. Would you expect any less?
@dannyd1572 How bad must the democrats SUCK that the republicans allegedly have no ideas or agenda blah blah blah and still kick the fucking shit out of the democrats
This is what the democrats wanted for john kerry in 04 when they thought hating Bush would get them by
@SWEP2AOTC2002 Mmm no. Don't think they've kicked the shit out of anyone. The people they tried to are still in place- Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Obama, Biden, and even Hillary Clinton (for the last 20 years). So no I don't think they've kicked anything out of anyone. Besides they are going to have their hands full trying to satisfy the Tea Party who is going to split the Republican vote meaning another 4 years for Obama.
@dannyd1572 ummmm, the only ones out of the people you listed were Reid and Pelosi. Clinton will never be on any ballot unless she actually runs for office again. Obama and Biden will be defeated in 2012, especially if the economy doesn't improve. Reid barely got through this election, and Pelosi is from the land of fruits and nuts, so she ain't going anywhere. But now she lost her beloved Speaker position. So, it's not like the Dems didn't go without an ass kicking.
@surfsalem7 And remind me who is going to run against Obama? Name one good candidate. The whole party is nothing but washed up speakers of the house and Fox News commentators and show hosts. Clinton will be on a ballot. She isn't done. Biden will too. Reid got through his election because Sharon Angle was a nut- still is. The land of fruits??? Don't get me started on the Republican Party and their Tea Party. Where are the jobs? was what Boehner asked. Well where are they? Pelosi will be speaker.
@dannyd1572 if you think the GOP candidate has already been picked, then don't whine to me when I make fun of you for living under a rock. A tree could do a better job then Obama...
Washed up Speaker? Ahhhhhh hahahahahahah!! Really, that's what you got? Tough, and quite frankly empty words coming from the side that lost. Hmm but then again, that's what you guys do best.
I'll see you in 2012, when Obama loses and Pelosi is NOT the Speaker. lol
@surfsalem7 So then you must feel really embarrased since your candidates Palin and McCain lost to a tree. Wow. You really don't have a party do you? Did a tree catch Osama? That's because we had an eight year failure has President. No doubt in my mind we'll win big, big in 2012
@dannyd1572 my team didn't run against a tree... they ran against a dumbass. And yeah they lost to the dumbass, what? You think I'm not going to admit that my team lost? Uh, no I'm not a Democrat. I can admit to failures in my candidates winning...
You also missed my comment completely. Sad times.
I said I would vote for a tree, not I'd vote for anyone other than Obama the tree. If you don't get that, I'm quite sad for you.
Dems will not win in 2012, sorry to break it to you.
@surfsalem7 Dems just won NY 26 last night. Huge, huge win. Your medicare scare has the country wishing they wouldn't have voted so many repubs in. Buyers remorse. You will lose a lot of senate seats. Im guessing we get house, senate and retain presidency. People are tired of repub games and hate speech. THis is why Rush and Hannity's ratings are down 30% and Beck has been let go. Your brand of politics is a losing brand and people are tired of it.
@dannyd1572 yeah, and an insane Tea Partier who fights with Republican staffers had absolutely nothing at all to do with a split vote... oh not at all sir... I truly hope you can see the sarcasm in my words.
And the medicare scare is done solely by the Democrats.
Even if Rush and Hannity's rates are down, they still kick every other liberals butts in radio (and Hannity in TV), please don't get in a ratings war, you guys truly don't do well with ratings.
I for one am super glad that Beck has been let go! He's not a Republican, he's a religious zealot libertarian.
"Your brand of politics is a losing brand and people are tired of it." Ohhh puh-leaze! My suggestion for you is to not throw stones in a glass house. The fact of the matter is, Democrats are the top scare tactic users, they play on fear more then any other party in this country, hate speech and the games you speak of are the Democrats bread and butter!
@surfsalem7 THey do??? Do they invoke the fear of 911 everytime an election comes up? Does FOX, the republican bullhorn, have any announcers or hosts that preach gloom and doom? Are you seriously going to argue this? Glenn Beck tells his listeners the end is coming...grab your guns, take control, fight the government, buy gold, by my book to take with you, buy a backpack that contains all the food you will need to live on after the apocolypse. And Fox lets him continue. Think.
@dannyd1572 well, 9/11 didn't come up during the 2010 midterms. Not from anything I saw, 9/11 (other then maybe in NY with the ground zero mosque... but even that, I wouldn't say so).
Wait a minute... you and I both know Beck is gone from Fox by the end of the year... yet you say they let him incite fear into the mix? And I don't wanna keep saying it, I don't like Glenn Beck. I'm glad he's leaving Fox.
For me, Fox is not the end all be all but it is a good start in gather info.
@surfsalem7 911 didn't come up- finally they stopped. After 7 years of using it to scare voters. There was a skit on John Stewart that had a speech by Rudy Juliani (sp) and in this two minute speech to some Republican convention when he was running and he said 911 something like 20 times. Pathetic. Just watch the Republican convention from 2004 and count the many time 911 was invoked and how GW is tough on terrorist. Obama caught the worlds most dangerous man. Point blank. Bush didnt'
@dannyd1572 sorry didn't see this comment before now... I simply don't care what took place and what tactics were used in 2004, I've moved on. The latest election that I would say to follow much more closely then the 2004 elections would be the 2010 midterms. Going back to elections prior to that would be stupid.
@surfsalem7 The REpubs built the tea party. They had the Tea Party do their dirty work...say and do the things they were afraid to do. They built them and now they can't control them. I said that way back then that someday the repubs are going to regret this, and that the TEA baggers would split the party. It has come to that- they are costing repubs elections. REpubs used scare tactics for 2 years during the new healthcare plan. Death panels and all. Now they are taking away medicare for real.
@dannyd1572 the Republicans built the Tea Party... hmmm, tell that to the TP lol they hate us Republicans or the really fringe group of the TP.
While you call what the Republicans did as far as healthcare goes, saying it was scare tactics used for 2 years... the Dems have been doing it long before we did it. Long before! Plus you guys are the ones responsible for mediscare. So if you don't like it when it happens to you, don't do it.
@surfsalem7@surfsalem7 They attended the republican conventions, town hall meetings and a good portion of the new members elected in the house are Repubs and put there by the Tea Party. Sara Palin- the Queen Tea Bagger along with Bachman are both Tea Baggers. The Baggers have identified themselves with the Republican party. Poll numbers and their viewpoints say so. Mediscare??? No, the Dems believe we are so great of a country that every American deserves health care. Whats wrong with that?
@dannyd1572 I can't stand Bachmann either. Palin is alright in my book, but I wouldn't vote for her for president, I don't think she needs to be president. Again I say, try telling the fringe TP that they are Repubs. All they do all day long is call real Repubs 'RINOs' as if they care, all they want is to control everything with no one but them allowed to have a say. And if you support them and stray away even sligthly, they will throw you under the bus... kinda like liberals!
@surfsalem7 Palin is alright? For what? Employee of the month at the local cafe on the corner?? The Repubs created and adopted the TP and now it has come to bite them in the ass. Obama and the Dems have made a huge recovery compared to the mess the neocons have put us into. Irreparable damage they did to our country and our reputation abroad. Finally, other countries are working with us and have respect for us again. The Bushie's took the pride out of America. THey really did. Very sad.
@dannyd1572 yes, to me, Palin is alright. How come I like her you feel it necessary to act as though I'm trying to force you to like her and you proceed to bash.
The TP has come, not to bite us in the ass, but to stab us in the back and no we (the Repubs) did not create them, I would love to see you try to explain that to them. I really would lol
And, so uh... what recovery are you talking about? The only states that are doing good are those that reject Obama/liberal policies.
@surfsalem7 Rick Santorum (Republican) is the first politician to coin the phrase Tea Party and call for a revolt. All your Fox Repubs have held Tea Party rallies where they have hosted them or have written books about it. They've praised their actions when they went to healthcare town hall meetings and screamed, the republicans thought it was cute that Sara Palin (Tea Party/ REpub) had Lock & Reload and the crosshairs on Dems homes. SIck. Plain sick people.
@dannyd1572 Santorum did that? Um, that's not meant to be factually accurate is it? Can't be because of all Republican politicians that I would associate as aligning with them from the beginning, Santorum would not be one of them.
And just so you know, the crosshairs that Palin used, she copied that from... you guessed it, Democrats that targeted Repubs in 2006!
I agree though, that is just plain sick and the Dems should be ashamed of themselves!
@surfsalem7 Palin's map had CROSSHAIRS and the NAMES of the congressmen on it along with her lock and reload theme. Big difference between a bullseye (which could be a dart reference) and a cross hair, which only means one thing. If it wasn't so controversial why did Sara take it down within an hour after the Giffords shooting? She knows what she was starting and she'll take that to her grave.
Oh, to continue... I hate the Tea Party just as much as you (at least I assume you hate them). So go ahead, bad mouth them, I really will not care. In fact, I might join in...
@surfsalem7 This country was founded on Christianity. The bible says you are to take care of your brother/ neighbor at all costs. I, personally, do not mind paying taxes knowing that we will all have preventive care along with regular care. Paying extra to ensure that we are all healthier and covered is a small sacrifice. For someone who has Epilepsy I've never had insurance. Ever. Not one company will touch me. Thats what wrong with the system. Healthcare should not be a profit system.
@dannyd1572 about that, it would be so much easier to not let the government take care of the poor, the needy, etc. That is not what the government is for. National security, border security, help in natural disasters when states are overwhelmed, deliver the mail, things like that is what the federal government is for.
We shouldn't call on government for welfare, it should be lower taxes so that you can keep more of YOUR money, then YOU decide how to use YOUR money. Not hard.
@surfsalem7 Society doesn't work that way. If there wasn't such a thing as greed then your theory would work. The government caters more to the fat cats on Wall Street then they do the downtrodden and poor or middle class so your reasoning is falling on deaf ears. I'm all for paying more taxes as long as I get to keep my town park, library, ambulance and fire department, post office, sound structures as bridges and roads. If it makes our U.S. a better place, why wouldn't you pay extra?
@dannyd1572 no, society doesn't work that way because the news doesn't say that it does, & we all know that what's on the news everyday is exactly how life/society really is.
"The govt caters more to the fat cats on Wall Street then they do the downtrodden & poor or middle class." All the more reason why we shouldn't depend on the govt for welfare.
And you wanting to pay more taxes would be better served keeping it in your state, and I in mine. I'd rather pay more to my state then the fed govt.
@surfsalem7 Then if that was the case you repubs would be upset because illegal immigrants were coming to your state to take advantage of your great fruits that have come from your paying of taxes. States can't defend themselves or take care of themselves. They need the gov. When Rick Perry (Texas) talks of secceeding, it's really dangerous. States have tried this in the past...and it costs lives. 650,000 the last time.
@dannyd1572 we are upset about illegal immigration...
And I'm in Texas, and was there when a reported asked him about secession (you spelled it wrong). And he never wanted it, he doesn't want it, and if he did... we would have done it already.
@surfsalem7 Hey, I think it sucks too. I live in Iowa where the largest illegal immigration raid took place last year at a meat packing plant. I don't blame Texas, I'd be pissed too. However, Perry talks about it all the time and threatens that if the Gov. doesn't stop meddling then Texas will consider it. Thats dangerous...especially to kooks out there that follow that crap. Sorry but I do think the U.S. would be better giving Texas back to Mexico. Just my opinion.
@dannyd1572 he never did. Cite one place where he ACTUALLY (and don't even try to cite anything that "implies it" or sounds like it" because you'll just be wrong again) says he wants to secede. Go ahead I dare you.
I on the other hand will cite where he says he never said, nor implied, secession was on the table.
Go to the search bar, paste "Texas Governor Rick Perry On Fox & Friends with Gretchen Carlson." then go to 3:05 where she directly asks him and he gives a direct and emphatic no.
@surfsalem7 Type in Rick Perry Tea Party Speech. If you type in Rick Perry in google the fourth word for him that comes up is secession. There are plenty, and I mean plenty of speeches of him on youtube talking about seceeding. While I appreciate your spirited debates, it doesnt seem like you are doing your homework ;)
@dannyd1572 don't try to attempt to school me on my governor... what you don't realize is how closely I follow him. All you have done is say, "oh man, trust me it's out there, I've seen it... but I won't cite it though..." btw, that video (unspun with anna z) he didn't say he wanted to secede. You lost that argument right away.
I on the other hand gave you words he spoke from his own mouth saying nope. You give me nothing but others saying he wants to without his own words... I win.
@surfsalem7 It's the Tea Party in Austin speech when he says if your a right wing extermist then I'm with you. We need to send a message that we will not be pick pocketed and Texas will not be ignored. Type in Sean Hannity Defends TExas Secession Idea. Rick Perry's brief statement is him saying Texans rre either for the government or against Texans. He's a cook and the only reason is because Obama is black and all ofyou know this. Go back to fighting in wars against Mexico.
@dannyd1572 in fact, that video you told me to watch (that I know I saw even before you ever did), go to his exact words @:30 he says "we have a great union and THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO REASON TO DISSOLVE IT" so you lost your own argument by the use of the video you told me to watch.
And don't try to say that what he said after that "implies" or "sounds like" he may entertain the idea. That excuse has already been played out so many times that it should be put in a retirement home.
@surfsalem7 Texas can't leave the union. They would not survive. No state would. There is no reason in the world to think that any state could leave the union and survive. Won't happen. Especially Texas who has enough of their own problems. You should all start by trying to put together a football team and fill a stadium some arrogant Texas prick built.
@dannyd1572 you need us more then we need you, we are a donor state to states like yours (and others unfortunately.) I wish we could just keep our money and other states keep theirs. But that's too fair. And our problems are few and far between not to mention we are in much better economic shape then any other state out there. You can't deny it... well you could, but you'd be wrong or just ignorant.
@surfsalem7 What the hell do we need out of Texas anyway? Your highest capital murder rate per capita? Your crime? Corrput politicians? Unbareable weather? Your Guns? Your better than everyone else attitudes? Illegal Immigrants?Texas (especially since they do not have a state income tax) would not be able to survive by themselves, especially after every state in the Union refused to do business with them like they did Arizona. And you couldn't fight to save yourselves either.
@dannyd1572 sheez... someone has gotten quite pissy. lol
Highest murder per capita goes to Louisana. Highest crime rate goes to Nevada. Corrupt politicians, nope. Our weather is awesome, hot. Cold weather is bs.
We, uh... like! not having a state income tax. And hey genius, if we weren't in the union we wouldn't have to pay the federal income taxes and keep that money here! Doesn't seem like states won't do business with us when we are ranked no. 1 state to do business for 7th yr in a row.
@surfsalem7 You really think TX could survive if it seceeded? You'd have no one to take care of roads, all your government buildings would have to be bought by the US Government, no one to take care of parks, libraries, security, polie, border patrol, your sick wouldn't have a place to go because your hospitals would shut down, your precious colleges would not be financed, no more fishing in clear streams, your mid and lower income would starve, it'd be a mess.
@surfsalem7 Besides do you know that if it wasn't for Sam Huston or even Lyndon Johnson, Texas wouldn't amount to shit? You should read up on Lady Bird and how her beautification projects helped clean up Texas and how LBJ's dedication to the black, poor and homeless brought education, clean water and electricity to the oppressed in your state left who you left in the country to starve. Oh and your synonymous with assasinations. I'll take the Midwest. BTW- No state can survive w/o the union.
@dannyd1572 you... are trying to tell... me to read up on TX history. LOL
Really? you're gonna go there? Texas History is part of our curriculum in Jr. High, High School, and even in college (not required but it always fills up and is offered every semester). Not only that, but we learn about Texas History from our families, friends, etc. about our history. We are extremely proud of it, so we learn it.
Synonymous with assassinations... oh that's a good one...
@dannyd1572 no, YOU want Texas to secede. You'd never get why the idea is appealing to us anyway. And appealing does not mean that we are going to up and do it. Take a deep breath, and think outside the box.
@surfsalem7 As a proud American I believe and abide in my constitution, which tells me I have to allow Texas to be a part of us. You are obviously not proud to be from the United States and that's sad. If you were you would not want to split it up. That's not patriotic at all. Texas can go. It's sucked money from the government for too long. Military contracts, oil subsidies, NASA. Sorry...you wouldn't survive. Time to retire your buckle and boots.
@dannyd1572 wow, now you are questioning my patriotism... low. And part of being a donor state is that you don't suck money from the feds. Also, you're being hypocritical again (in this one comment alone not just all of it). You say "As a proud American I believe and abide in my constitution, which tells me I have to allow Texas to be part of us." THEN go on to say "Texas can go."
@surfsalem7 Yes, I am. LOL Good example- Rick Perry is touting the fact of running for President yet he's threatened the federal government with secession. Do you not see the irony in that? Someone who wanted to take his state and leave the union wants to lead the union. Your state has produced (while not born there) the worst president in American History. Thats not just me saying that...this is from all the political polls.
@surfsalem7 Texas is one of the states that COULD NOT support itself should something happen. This means that its people alone with run it out of resources. There are only a handful of states that have enough resources to provide for the amount of people it has.
@dannyd1572 blah blah blah, more words from you with nothing to back it up.
Until a state secedes, you are going on what only you want to believe (your opinion and no one else) and that means nothing. Especially coming from you...
@dannyd1572 apparently you don't. Secession (which you didn't even know how to spell until I told you how it was spelt, just saying) is when you break from one country and become an independent country. So there is no "coming home." But you go right ahead, you just keep on trying so hard, you'll make it one day! I believe in you!!!
@dannyd1572 oh my goodness... ahhhhhh hahahahahaha!! Really, really now? lol you are some kind of desperate. Seriously though, you joking right? Please say you're joking, I'm going to be very, VERY sad for you if your not. The "spelt" I am referring to is a verb, not the noun version of "spelt" that you refer to. So please, just say you were just kidding and it'll all go away. lol
@dannyd1572 you can't even let it go, and what's worse is that you probably think you are getting a rise out of me in some way. lol I know where I'm at, from, etc. like I need some guy in Iowa telling me. lol
@surfsalem7 Hey- I got nothing against Texas...really I don't. I don't like the boot stomping, belt buckle, big attitude complex that some(most) of the people have. A lot of seniors here in Iowa leave to go to Texas and Arizona because of the harsh Iowa winters..so nothing against Texas. Just the attitude.
@dannyd1572 So you want me to buy that you really have nothing against my state when you talk so much garbage? No, I don't buy it. We like our state and our big Texas size attitudes that go with it. You don't know anything about Texas, you especially don't know that the fact of the matter is we don't all wear boots, belt buckles, and that attitude we have is called pride in our state. We are entitled to act and think however we want, and even if we didn't have that right, we'd do it anyway.
@surfsalem7 I'm a civil war buff/ reenactor. Pretty sure I know what secession is and how its spelled. Even if my fingers get ahead of my brain. I was referring to the fact that Mexico owned Texas and should rightfully be given back.
@dannyd1572 and I'm a Texas History buff (most Texans are because we actually care about our state which translates to arrogance to outsiders), so don't try to tell me things I already know, it just wastes time.
And you should apologize to your fingers because your civil war "reenactor" brain should have caught that.
@surfsalem7 So did you read about how the government oppressed the blacks and the rural areas in your state because those people were to removed from the larger areas and the politicians didn't care about them because they wouldn't vote anyway? Yep...Deep in the heart of Texas! Now You seem to think that Texas is it's own little world and is so great...newsflash...most of the people i know can't stand Texas. They hate their sports and obnoxoious attitudes (see Rick Perry).
@dannyd1572 yeah that happened back in the day here, and in A LOT of states (it happened in northern states before it happened in the south), seems like you are stuck in the past because we have moved on. Our state has more diversity then you'll ever know and not just because you refuse to admit/see the truth, all races/ethnicities live together in harmony and we like it that way.
That's exactly how we think/will always think, we are independent and unique and damn proud of it! And we won't stop
@surfsalem7 Ummm no that didn't happen in a lot of northern states. Most people in northern states (and I'm talking Minnesota, Iowa, SD, ND...etc had never even seen a black person. You should read about the Union Army's reaction the first time they rolled into the south and were shocked to see black person. Not only this but your state was pro SLAVERY!!!! Your state is associated with the ugliest part of the largest war in our history.
@dannyd1572 um, yeah dude racism happens in every state past, present, and future. Don't let hollywood movies dictate how history really went (and if you comment back saying that I am saying it never happened in Texas, you're an idiot). And for one, when I'm talking northern states you also need to think outside the box once again and learn what I'm really talking about. Seriously, your replies are getting sad. A lot of states were part of the civil war. Doesn't mean that's where we are today.
@surfsalem7 No...your wrong. Most states to preserve the union by staying intact as opposed to supporting slavery and leaving. Nonetheless back to our original conversation...the REpubs are in trouble, the house will lose seats and the repubs have screwed up on their little mediscare vote, they are now coming out against their own Speaker Boehner and they are a mess. They are trying to find the button that initiates damage control.
@dannyd1572 oh, sure 'I'm wrong' right... I see how I'm so wrong by you immediately changing the subject. lol
And I don't feel any differently then I did when this conversation started, I will see you in 2012 and I'll be the one laughing at you. And we aren't against the Speaker, only the libertarians within the Tea Party are against him, but not like they were ever for him anyway.
We need more Republicans like Chris Christie

What a bunch of clowns. They have no agenda, no ideas, and no willingness to collaborate with the left to pass anything useful to the people who put them in. @dannyd1572 How bad must the democrats SUCK that the republicans allegedly have no ideas or agenda blah blah blah and still kick the fucking shit out of the democrats
This is what the democrats wanted for john kerry in 04 when they thought hating Bush would get them by
SWEP2AOTC2002 1 year ago
@SWEP2AOTC2002 Mmm no. Don't think they've kicked the shit out of anyone. The people they tried to are still in place- Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Obama, Biden, and even Hillary Clinton (for the last 20 years). So no I don't think they've kicked anything out of anyone. Besides they are going to have their hands full trying to satisfy the Tea Party who is going to split the Republican vote meaning another 4 years for Obama.
dannyd1572 1 year ago
@dannyd1572 ummmm, the only ones out of the people you listed were Reid and Pelosi. Clinton will never be on any ballot unless she actually runs for office again. Obama and Biden will be defeated in 2012, especially if the economy doesn't improve. Reid barely got through this election, and Pelosi is from the land of fruits and nuts, so she ain't going anywhere. But now she lost her beloved Speaker position. So, it's not like the Dems didn't go without an ass kicking.
surfsalem7 8 months ago

I'll see you in 2012, when Obama loses and Pelosi is NOT the Speaker. lol
I'll be able to find my way back ;)

@surfsalem7 So then you must feel really embarrased since your candidates Palin and McCain lost to a tree. Wow. You really don't have a party do you? Did a tree catch Osama? That's because we had an eight year failure has President. No doubt in my mind we'll win big, big in 2012
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 my team didn't run against a tree... they ran against a dumbass. And yeah they lost to the dumbass, what? You think I'm not going to admit that my team lost? Uh, no I'm not a Democrat. I can admit to failures in my candidates winning...
You also missed my comment completely. Sad times.
I said I would vote for a tree, not I'd vote for anyone other than Obama the tree. If you don't get that, I'm quite sad for you.
Dems will not win in 2012, sorry to break it to you.
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 Dems just won NY 26 last night. Huge, huge win. Your medicare scare has the country wishing they wouldn't have voted so many repubs in. Buyers remorse. You will lose a lot of senate seats. Im guessing we get house, senate and retain presidency. People are tired of repub games and hate speech. THis is why Rush and Hannity's ratings are down 30% and Beck has been let go. Your brand of politics is a losing brand and people are tired of it.
dannyd1572 8 months ago

The fact of the matter is, Democrats are the top scare tactic users, they play on fear more then any other party in this country, hate speech and the games you speak of are the Democrats bread and butter!
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 THey do??? Do they invoke the fear of 911 everytime an election comes up? Does FOX, the republican bullhorn, have any announcers or hosts that preach gloom and doom? Are you seriously going to argue this? Glenn Beck tells his listeners the end is coming...grab your guns, take control, fight the government, buy gold, by my book to take with you, buy a backpack that contains all the food you will need to live on after the apocolypse. And Fox lets him continue. Think.
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 well, 9/11 didn't come up during the 2010 midterms. Not from anything I saw, 9/11 (other then maybe in NY with the ground zero mosque... but even that, I wouldn't say so).
Wait a minute... you and I both know Beck is gone from Fox by the end of the year... yet you say they let him incite fear into the mix? And I don't wanna keep saying it, I don't like Glenn Beck. I'm glad he's leaving Fox.
For me, Fox is not the end all be all but it is a good start in gather info.
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 911 didn't come up- finally they stopped. After 7 years of using it to scare voters. There was a skit on John Stewart that had a speech by Rudy Juliani (sp) and in this two minute speech to some Republican convention when he was running and he said 911 something like 20 times. Pathetic. Just watch the Republican convention from 2004 and count the many time 911 was invoked and how GW is tough on terrorist. Obama caught the worlds most dangerous man. Point blank. Bush didnt'
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 sorry didn't see this comment before now... I simply don't care what took place and what tactics were used in 2004, I've moved on. The latest election that I would say to follow much more closely then the 2004 elections would be the 2010 midterms. Going back to elections prior to that would be stupid.
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 The REpubs built the tea party. They had the Tea Party do their dirty work...say and do the things they were afraid to do. They built them and now they can't control them. I said that way back then that someday the repubs are going to regret this, and that the TEA baggers would split the party. It has come to that- they are costing repubs elections. REpubs used scare tactics for 2 years during the new healthcare plan. Death panels and all. Now they are taking away medicare for real.
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 the Republicans built the Tea Party... hmmm, tell that to the TP lol they hate us Republicans or the really fringe group of the TP.
While you call what the Republicans did as far as healthcare goes, saying it was scare tactics used for 2 years... the Dems have been doing it long before we did it. Long before! Plus you guys are the ones responsible for mediscare. So if you don't like it when it happens to you, don't do it.
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 @surfsalem7 They attended the republican conventions, town hall meetings and a good portion of the new members elected in the house are Repubs and put there by the Tea Party. Whats wrong with that?
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 I can't stand Bachmann either. Palin is alright in my book, but I wouldn't vote for her for president, I don't think she needs to be president. Again I say, try telling the fringe TP that they are Repubs. All they do all day long is call real Repubs 'RINOs' as if they care, all they want is to control everything with no one but them allowed to have a say. And if you support them and stray away even sligthly, they will throw you under the bus... kinda like liberals!
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 Palin is alright? For what? Employee of the month at the local cafe on the corner?? The Repubs created and adopted the TP and now it has come to bite them in the ass. Obama and the Dems have made a huge recovery compared to the mess the neocons have put us into. Irreparable damage they did to our country and our reputation abroad. Finally, other countries are working with us and have respect for us again. The Bushie's took the pride out of America. THey really did. Very sad.
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 yes, to me, Palin is alright. How come I like her you feel it necessary to act as though I'm trying to force you to like her and you proceed to bash.
The TP has come, not to bite us in the ass, but to stab us in the back and no we (the Repubs) did not create them, I would love to see you try to explain that to them. I really would lol
And, so uh... what recovery are you talking about? The only states that are doing good are those that reject Obama/liberal policies.
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 Rick Santorum (Republican) is the first politician to coin the phrase Tea Party and call for a revolt. All your Fox Repubs have held Tea Party rallies where they have hosted them or have written books about it. They've praised their actions when they went to healthcare town hall meetings and screamed, the republicans thought it was cute that Sara Palin (Tea Party/ REpub) had Lock & Reload and the crosshairs on Dems homes. SIck. Plain sick people.
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 Santorum did that? Um, that's not meant to be factually accurate is it? Can't be because of all Republican politicians that I would associate as aligning with them from the beginning, Santorum would not be one of them.
And just so you know, the crosshairs that Palin used, she copied that from... you guessed it, Democrats that targeted Repubs in 2006!
I agree though, that is just plain sick and the Dems should be ashamed of themselves!
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 Palin's map had CROSSHAIRS and the NAMES of the congressmen on it along with her lock and reload theme. Big difference between a bullseye (which could be a dart reference) and a cross hair, which only means one thing. If it wasn't so controversial why did Sara take it down within an hour after the Giffords shooting? She knows what she was starting and she'll take that to her grave.
dannyd1572 8 months ago
Oh, to continue... I hate the Tea Party just as much as you (at least I assume you hate them). So go ahead, bad mouth them, I really will not care. In fact, I might join in...
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 This country was founded on Christianity. The bible says you are to take care of your brother/ neighbor at all costs. I, personally, do not mind paying taxes knowing that we will all have preventive care along with regular care. Paying extra to ensure that we are all healthier and covered is a small sacrifice. For someone who has Epilepsy I've never had insurance. Ever. Not one company will touch me. Thats what wrong with the system. Healthcare should not be a profit system.
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 about that, it would be so much easier to not let the government take care of the poor, the needy, etc. That is not what the government is for. National security, border security, help in natural disasters when states are overwhelmed, deliver the mail, things like that is what the federal government is for.
We shouldn't call on government for welfare, it should be lower taxes so that you can keep more of YOUR money, then YOU decide how to use YOUR money. Not hard.
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 Society doesn't work that way. If there wasn't such a thing as greed then your theory would work. The government caters more to the fat cats on Wall Street then they do the downtrodden and poor or middle class so your reasoning is falling on deaf ears. I'm all for paying more taxes as long as I get to keep my town park, library, ambulance and fire department, post office, sound structures as bridges and roads. If it makes our U.S. a better place, why wouldn't you pay extra?
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 no, society doesn't work that way because the news doesn't say that it does, & we all know that what's on the news everyday is exactly how life/society really is.
"The govt caters more to the fat cats on Wall Street then they do the downtrodden & poor or middle class." All the more reason why we shouldn't depend on the govt for welfare.
And you wanting to pay more taxes would be better served keeping it in your state, and I in mine. I'd rather pay more to my state then the fed govt.
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 Then if that was the case you repubs would be upset because illegal immigrants were coming to your state to take advantage of your great fruits that have come from your paying of taxes. States can't defend themselves or take care of themselves. They need the gov. When Rick Perry (Texas) talks of secceeding, it's really dangerous. States have tried this in the past...and it costs lives. 650,000 the last time.
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 we are upset about illegal immigration...
And I'm in Texas, and was there when a reported asked him about secession (you spelled it wrong). And he never wanted it, he doesn't want it, and if he did... we would have done it already.
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 Hey, I think it sucks too. I live in Iowa where the largest illegal immigration raid took place last year at a meat packing plant. I don't blame Texas, I'd be pissed too. However, Perry talks about it all the time and threatens that if the Gov. doesn't stop meddling then Texas will consider it. Thats dangerous...especially to kooks out there that follow that crap. Sorry but I do think the U.S. would be better giving Texas back to Mexico. Just my opinion.
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 he never did. Cite one place where he ACTUALLY (and don't even try to cite anything that "implies it" or sounds like it" because you'll just be wrong again) says he wants to secede. Go ahead I dare you.
I on the other hand will cite where he says he never said, nor implied, secession was on the table.
Go to the search bar, paste "Texas Governor Rick Perry On Fox & Friends with Gretchen Carlson." then go to 3:05 where she directly asks him and he gives a direct and emphatic no.
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 Type in Rick Perry Tea Party Speech. If you type in Rick Perry in google the fourth word for him that comes up is secession. There are plenty, and I mean plenty of speeches of him on youtube talking about seceeding. While I appreciate your spirited debates, it doesnt seem like you are doing your homework ;)
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 don't try to attempt to school me on my governor... what you don't realize is how closely I follow him. All you have done is say, "oh man, trust me it's out there, I've seen it... but I won't cite it though..." btw, that video (unspun with anna z) he didn't say he wanted to secede. You lost that argument right away.
I on the other hand gave you words he spoke from his own mouth saying nope. You give me nothing but others saying he wants to without his own words... I win.
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 It's the Tea Party in Austin speech when he says if your a right wing extermist then I'm with you. We need to send a message that we will not be pick pocketed and Texas will not be ignored. Type in Sean Hannity Defends TExas Secession Idea. Rick Perry's brief statement is him saying Texans rre either for the government or against Texans. He's a cook and the only reason is because Obama is black and all ofyou know this. Go back to fighting in wars against Mexico.
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 in fact, that video you told me to watch (that I know I saw even before you ever did), go to his exact words @:30 he says "we have a great union and THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO REASON TO DISSOLVE IT" so you lost your own argument by the use of the video you told me to watch.
And don't try to say that what he said after that "implies" or "sounds like" he may entertain the idea. That excuse has already been played out so many times that it should be put in a retirement home.
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 Texas can't leave the union. They would not survive. No state would. There is no reason in the world to think that any state could leave the union and survive. Won't happen. Especially Texas who has enough of their own problems. You should all start by trying to put together a football team and fill a stadium some arrogant Texas prick built.
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 you need us more then we need you, we are a donor state to states like yours (and others unfortunately.) I wish we could just keep our money and other states keep theirs. But that's too fair. And our problems are few and far between not to mention we are in much better economic shape then any other state out there. You can't deny it... well you could, but you'd be wrong or just ignorant.
It ain't braggin' if its true :D
You're last sentence didn't make sense btw
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 What the hell do we need out of Texas anyway? Your highest capital murder rate per capita? Your crime? Corrput politicians? Unbareable weather? Your Guns? Your better than everyone else attitudes? Illegal Immigrants?Texas (especially since they do not have a state income tax) would not be able to survive by themselves, especially after every state in the Union refused to do business with them like they did Arizona. And you couldn't fight to save yourselves either.
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 sheez... someone has gotten quite pissy. lol
Highest murder per capita goes to Louisana. Highest crime rate goes to Nevada. Corrupt politicians, nope. Our weather is awesome, hot. Cold weather is bs.
We, uh... like! not having a state income tax. And hey genius, if we weren't in the union we wouldn't have to pay the federal income taxes and keep that money here! Doesn't seem like states won't do business with us when we are ranked no. 1 state to do business for 7th yr in a row.
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 You really think TX could survive if it seceeded? You'd have no one to take care of roads, all your government buildings would have to be bought by the US Government, no one to take care of parks, libraries, security, polie, border patrol, your sick wouldn't have a place to go because your hospitals would shut down, your precious colleges would not be financed, no more fishing in clear streams, your mid and lower income would starve, it'd be a mess.
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 to that I say to the feds, "Come and take it."

dannyd1572 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 Besides do you know that if it wasn't for Sam Huston or even Lyndon Johnson, Texas wouldn't amount to shit? You should read up on Lady Bird and how her beautification projects helped clean up Texas and how LBJ's dedication to the black, poor and homeless brought education, clean water and electricity to the oppressed in your state left who you left in the country to starve. Oh and your synonymous with assasinations. I'll take the Midwest. BTW- No state can survive w/o the union.
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 you... are trying to tell... me to read up on TX history. LOL
Really? you're gonna go there? Texas History is part of our curriculum in Jr. High, High School, and even in college (not required but it always fills up and is offered every semester). Not only that, but we learn about Texas History from our families, friends, etc. about our history. We are extremely proud of it, so we learn it.
Synonymous with assassinations... oh that's a good one...
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 Great- Leave- Take the rest of the red states with you. The less ignorant republicans the better off this country will be.
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 no, YOU want Texas to secede. You'd never get why the idea is appealing to us anyway. And appealing does not mean that we are going to up and do it. Take a deep breath, and think outside the box.
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 As a proud American I believe and abide in my constitution, which tells me I have to allow Texas to be a part of us. You are obviously not proud to be from the United States and that's sad. If you were you would not want to split it up. That's not patriotic at all. Texas can go. It's sucked money from the government for too long. Military contracts, oil subsidies, NASA. Sorry...you wouldn't survive. Time to retire your buckle and boots.
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 wow, now you are questioning my patriotism... low. And part of being a donor state is that you don't suck money from the feds. Also, you're being hypocritical again (in this one comment alone not just all of it). You say "As a proud American I believe and abide in my constitution, which tells me I have to allow Texas to be part of us." THEN go on to say "Texas can go."
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 Yes, I am. LOL Good example- Rick Perry is touting the fact of running for President yet he's threatened the federal government with secession. Do you not see the irony in that? Someone who wanted to take his state and leave the union wants to lead the union. Your state has produced (while not born there) the worst president in American History. Thats not just me saying that...this is from all the political polls.
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 meh... that's all your replies are worth now. lol
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 Texas is one of the states that COULD NOT support itself should something happen. This means that its people alone with run it out of resources. There are only a handful of states that have enough resources to provide for the amount of people it has.
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 blah blah blah, more words from you with nothing to back it up.
Until a state secedes, you are going on what only you want to believe (your opinion and no one else) and that means nothing. Especially coming from you...
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 ok...I'l tell Mexico your coming back home..lol
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 aww sad times, you don't know what secession is do you?
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 aww sad times. yes I do
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 apparently you don't. Secession (which you didn't even know how to spell until I told you how it was spelt, just saying) is when you break from one country and become an independent country. So there is no "coming home." But you go right ahead, you just keep on trying so hard, you'll make it one day! I believe in you!!!
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 If you want to get bitchy about spelling on here...well "spelt" is a form of wheat ya dipshit.
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 oh my goodness... ahhhhhh hahahahahaha!! Really, really now? lol you are some kind of desperate. Seriously though, you joking right? Please say you're joking, I'm going to be very, VERY sad for you if your not. The "spelt" I am referring to is a verb, not the noun version of "spelt" that you refer to. So please, just say you were just kidding and it'll all go away. lol
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 Maybe so but its not proper english. But then again you are part of Mexico so you wouldn't know. Sorry.
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 you can't even let it go, and what's worse is that you probably think you are getting a rise out of me in some way. lol I know where I'm at, from, etc. like I need some guy in Iowa telling me. lol
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 Hey- I got nothing against Texas...really I don't. I don't like the boot stomping, belt buckle, big attitude complex that some(most) of the people have. A lot of seniors here in Iowa leave to go to Texas and Arizona because of the harsh Iowa winters..so nothing against Texas. Just the attitude.
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 So you want me to buy that you really have nothing against my state when you talk so much garbage? No, I don't buy it. We like our state and our big Texas size attitudes that go with it. You don't know anything about Texas, you especially don't know that the fact of the matter is we don't all wear boots, belt buckles, and that attitude we have is called pride in our state. We are entitled to act and think however we want, and even if we didn't have that right, we'd do it anyway.
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 I'm a civil war buff/ reenactor. Pretty sure I know what secession is and how its spelled. Even if my fingers get ahead of my brain. I was referring to the fact that Mexico owned Texas and should rightfully be given back.
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 and I'm a Texas History buff (most Texans are because we actually care about our state which translates to arrogance to outsiders), so don't try to tell me things I already know, it just wastes time.
And you should apologize to your fingers because your civil war "reenactor" brain should have caught that.
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 So did you read about how the government oppressed the blacks and the rural areas in your state because those people were to removed from the larger areas and the politicians didn't care about them because they wouldn't vote anyway? Yep...Deep in the heart of Texas! Now You seem to think that Texas is it's own little world and is so great...newsflash...most of the people i know can't stand Texas. They hate their sports and obnoxoious attitudes (see Rick Perry).
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 yeah that happened back in the day here, and in A LOT of states (it happened in northern states before it happened in the south), seems like you are stuck in the past because we have moved on. Our state has more diversity then you'll ever know and not just because you refuse to admit/see the truth, all races/ethnicities live together in harmony and we like it that way.
That's exactly how we think/will always think, we are independent and unique and damn proud of it! And we won't stop
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 Ummm no that didn't happen in a lot of northern states. Most people in northern states (and I'm talking Minnesota, Iowa, SD, ND...etc had never even seen a black person. You should read about the Union Army's reaction the first time they rolled into the south and were shocked to see black person. Not only this but your state was pro SLAVERY!!!! Your state is associated with the ugliest part of the largest war in our history.
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 um, yeah dude racism happens in every state past, present, and future. Don't let hollywood movies dictate how history really went (and if you comment back saying that I am saying it never happened in Texas, you're an idiot). And for one, when I'm talking northern states you also need to think outside the box once again and learn what I'm really talking about. Seriously, your replies are getting sad. A lot of states were part of the civil war. Doesn't mean that's where we are today.
surfsalem7 8 months ago
@surfsalem7 No...your wrong. Most states to preserve the union by staying intact as opposed to supporting slavery and leaving. Nonetheless back to our original conversation...the REpubs are in trouble, the house will lose seats and the repubs have screwed up on their little mediscare vote, they are now coming out against their own Speaker Boehner and they are a mess. They are trying to find the button that initiates damage control.
dannyd1572 8 months ago
@dannyd1572 oh, sure 'I'm wrong' right... I see how I'm so wrong by you immediately changing the subject. lol
And I don't feel any differently then I did when this conversation started, I will see you in 2012 and I'll be the one laughing at you. And we aren't against the Speaker, only the libertarians within the Tea Party are against him, but not like they were ever for him anyway.
