  • look at that hair, i love her...

  • Meeting her was one of the best moments of my life. She has such a beautiful voice, and she's a really friendly person.

  • i recorded this! ah the days of blank tapes.

  • when this song first came out , i had just lost my sister in 92 and this song spoke directly to me, and still does, my sister was 22years old when she died ,i was twenty three at the time ,r.i.p. karen i will always love you , and i miss you

  • @theantfish Mine was named Susan...18..lost in 87. Drunk driving accident. Right there with you. This song will forever speak to me.

  • She was always a great guitar player. Best sound from the 90s.

  • anybody kno where i can find her other song Tomorrow Never Comes

  • It's so sad. A great song like this was overshadowed in a year like 1993. It would be the song of the year in 2011.

  • I wish that she was my high school love....

  • BAHAHA

  • This song is funny since she doesn't even have a sister.

  • Best female singer/songwriter of all time. The way the music industry treated her was criminal. How she doesn't get more mainstream airplay is totally beyond me.

  • Best female singer/songwriter of all time. The way the music industry (Atlantic I'm looking at you!) treated her was just criminal. Her work after this period just got better and better. How she gets ignored by the radio stations is a real mystery to me. Any one of her songs is radio friendly and I'm positive that given the chance to hear her the rest of the world in general would love her as much as I do.

  • damn, I didn't realize how much she sounded like the album singing live. She has better pitch than some of my other 90's female alt-rock heroes.

  • Thanks for posting! Brings back intense memories of the 90s and high school!!

  • hi!!she trully always was way the coolest girl around.... period... hi blake bys..

  • I remember thinking this song was about me and my sister who is 4 yrs older. Now I'm 28 and i still feel like this song is about us, haha

  • @krissy82 same here. It brings a tear to my eye

  • @krissy82 same here!!! i am 29 and my sister is 5 years older :) i always dedicate this song to my sis for her birthdays.♥

  • esta mujer esta muy confundida...

    jajjaj

  • @juliMathers lol demas...

  • wow......!

  • omg, SO amazing fucking good, way better than i thought it would be, thank you for uploading!!! (and for using a hq VCR + taking care of your tapes!)

  • Maine chicks kick ass!

  • well done,

  • amazing!

  • Ever since My So-Called Life, I've loved Juliana. She reminds me of Jewel, who also rocks.

  • I would make love to this woman constantly!

  • wxrt used to play indie songs , that's where i first heard this song, like over 15 years ago. early 90's had alot of very good female folksy stuff like alanis, jewel, juliana, lisa loeb... now theres lady gaga and shikira,rihana... great to look at...to listen to...not so much. i think the 2008 posting of this song is even better

  • Snorta should fucking croak...now!

  • I would make love to this woman constantly.

  • All I have to say is.... for a VHS this is super clear!

  • love this rem when it came out..

  • she totally rocks!

  • i was trying to find electric version, but this sounds cool too, love her voice.i used to jam the electric version driving a 18-wheeler in the western united states

  • i have the electric version, but Youtube wouldn't let me post it.

  • Early `90`s were great. It was one of those rare times where the tyranny of the music industry gave people who wrote good songs a break for once, Now we are back to the same old same old where those who ever can act like the biggest retard like Kanye West is given the biggest light.

  • ''I'm a let you finish'' lol

  • Amen- I lisened to WHFS- in DC throughout the '90s, and the tunes they played- the diversity of good stuff- was tremendous. Then it just faded- no more original good quality new orginal ideas. The station even went out of business. I was surprised when I first heard that station- because I came from NYC and the radio was terrible. I'm kind of sad for those days, music today is awful.

  • This is from MTV Spoken Worg Unplugged,,,I have been looking for this video for ever!!!

  • I luv this song, is it really true? did Juliana actually have a sister who died or just left? does anyone know?

  • Juliana, doesn't actually have a sister.

  • Nah, Juliana's the only girl in a family of boys. She wrote the song from a fantasy she had. But parts of the song like watching the Del Fuegos and the Violent Femmes are autobiographical.

  • Juliana wrote this song about herself. She does not actually have a sister.

  • she had an older friend that was very influential to her but was sometimes aloof ..read her website or her book

  • Jules, what a babe.

  • For my sister, who I wish I had known sooner. Who has brought love and light into my life that only she can. I love my sister, and I'm so glad I have her in this life. Thanks mum.

  • great guitar, voice, and sexy ass legs!!!

  • god i miss this girl.

  • Very nice find. Thakns for adding!

  • Just great! I have it on vcr too.
