...As you've probably guessed, I don't quite agree. ;)
I say it's up to the artist who play the song to decide how it should sound, which version he should play (or not...) etc. And if the artist in question also is one of the _creators_ of the song, I say he has every right to do as he please with it.
Of course everyone has the right to an opinion...
Personally I usually prefer "the original version", just like most other people... but who are we to say that he's playing it WRONG???
A little philosophy here: Many big bands (Kiss, Wasp, Megadeth, Metallica etc etc) release demo recordings where you can clearly hear that many of their most famous songs sounds very different. Now, the demo songs are usually older than the "final" products (as they ended up on the studio records) and therefore more "original", right? So I suppose everybody should prefer the demo songs then, they're the original! (cont)
Hmm, you must have heard wrong. This is nothing like the Never Again solo. Never Again starts with a sustained high Bb in the solo. Just a little correction, I hope you don't take it as an offense.
hmm, could be... ive listened to it again, run the original song from 00:10, i think its similar... but even if not, everyone makes mistakes sometimes :)

I'd say this is a _version_ of Never Again.

Nicely done! I like those kinds of passages, blending open string with scale. Very cool man. APB@ Sick Licks
