If you can aim and have a fast finger trigger, this is by far the best gun in the game. Behind it, the Famas and M-16 are tied. The Famas with stopping power kills you fast, and the M-16 with anything is covert and deadly.

Try holographic, it ads 5 damage to the FAL's minimum, so you get 2 shot kills at any range, plus the red dot is miss-aligned :/

Whenever I use a gun with a slow fire rate like the FAL, I come up against some freaking noob with a UMP45 or a shotgun and I die. MW2 made a spelling error when they made "FAL". There should have been an "i" between the "a" and the "L".

lol, this is some of the worst gameplay i've ever seen, and he has no clue has to use the fal. First of all, the fal is an excellent weapon in close combat ( if you know how to set it up right ) if you add the holographic sight to the fal, it will give +5 damage, which may not seem like much but if you add stopping power, it will be 2 hit kill anywhere on the body. You can use the fal any way you want, sniping, or spraying. It's a universal weapon, like an assault rifle is meant to be.

At maximum range the damage per bullet drops to the same whether with suppressor or not. Suppressor doesn't cause it to fall to a lower damage. What it does do is cause the damage to drop off closer. This is all on the CoD Wikia.

Holographic Sight on this gun halts the damage drop off @ 40 instead of 35 over distance, meaning it remains a 2 bullet kill with stopping power no matter how far.
