  • I like how your teaching style seems to focus on practicality and adapting to any situation! Very good stuff!

  • Sifu Warfox , can you speak (or type) in Chinese :D

I am a fan of Chinese traditional martial arts in Taiwan. I learn Baji and a little Bagua~ I love your vedio~ It's very good . :D

  • How many years have you been practicing ba gua?

  • @angeleyeschina1 I've been training with my master in Taiwan for about 5 years now. Before that I trained another style of Bagua for about 2 years, altogether 7. I've done martial arts for a long time before that though.

  • Do you speak Chinese?

And I'm from Taiwan, I'm glad that we are having some cultural diversity now :]

  • That is sick. Have you ever freesparred people with different styles? Like how do you counter brazillian jiu-jitsu

  • Im a wah lum praying mantis practitioner in Austin Texas i dig your stuff man it looks good

  • It seems like a very effective counter to fists but you havent shown much against kicks and grapplers. Such as a capoeira fighter or a wrestler

  • are you know all the skill about 八卦掌??

  • I was a dumb ass who thought that bagua was a contemplative, meditative style that you practiced for healt. This is a seriously effective street art if you are trained properly. Thanks for the lessons.

P.S. How does Bagua handle a kicker and does it have kicks of it's own?

  • Kicks in bagua are often trained in the footwork (every step is a kick, etc.) , and bagua handles a kicker in the most sensible way for the situation at hand... be that jamming, angling, or something else.

  • Cool definately need more stuff like this for real world applications. fights on the street can be messy. I have heard that in china their are quite a few sort after body guards using ba gua and other internal arts. They seem to be the most dangerous because there is less of a fight- theme to it, rather its for life n death.

Great skill and also a martial art that u can do in old age.

  • This is so cool, warfox can you keep posting more real world application stuff like this please?

Maybe some free form sparring too..

  • I will don't worry. I haven't had my camera girl around since I am in America now. Soon as get a camera I'll add more vids

  • @warfox777 does bagua have fast explosive techniques

  • A good demo. I'm glad you were able to show a demo where you had the attacker attack more than once! I'm sick of these demos where the guys hold their arms out in the air!

  • that does get annoying.they need demos with a lot more reality and struggle to it because not every move in your arsenal will be executed perfectly.

  • Precisely! I think there are a lot of traditional martial artists that don't appreciate how tough the fundamentals (blocking, moving, striking, etc.) are, much less the actual techniques of your style. Before all of that, you have to have more unpredictability in your training or it will never carry over.

  • Are you a bujin ( martial artist)as well?

  • Not familiar with the term Bujin. Sorry

  • Martial warrior. No prob.

  • If you meant me, then yes. I to haven't heard Bujin before, but then again I've had more Chinese martial arts experience.

  • bujin is the translation of the chinese term wuren

  • love ba gua just wondering in the clips your assistance strikes arnt actually able to connect not close enough id love to see these clips with this taken into mind

  • looks like an intermediate already in this video, better than the other 2, i hope you use bigger guys in you succeeding videos so we can see the effectiveness better.

    thanks for sharing

  • Its attcually easier to do it on bigger guys as they are more open and slower, yet they have better reach and hit harder. fighting the same weight class is more challenging as your foe is usually just as fast as you.

  • I really like your realistic insights. Thanks for sharing.
