  • Ugh, there's always this super cool tune you want to play-along but it's, like, the only one that's got a different tuning to what your Floyd-equipped guitar is set to.

    DAMN YOU DROP D-eeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!1!

  • lovely!!.......rocks!!

  • catchy intro riff is catchy

  • hi takayoshi-san my friend I m so happy to read some of the last comments about your virtuosity with so much good feeling!!.......rock n roll!!.......rocks!!

  • So much feeling in his playing. Amazing Guitarist. Just in his band its a Horrible Vocalist IMO

  • this is so addicting, i must have listened to this at least 10 times straight...

  • this song is addicting

  • shred can have soul, its just not common. man this guy is like every virtuoso out there bundled into one, this is like a EVH medley, the last one i saw was like satrianna/yngwie...this dude is too good, i would love to rock his songs in canada

  • Great. One of the few songs of japanese guitarists that isn't just soulless shredding licks.

  • by listening to the music, we can know it's japanese's music :) very "fantasy" sound

  • @faridzayish That's true most of japanese music has an "anime" taste....

  • @MrEllinaras i think thats because the only music ever played on anime is Japanese music.

  • deep fret ^^

  • 0.36 it's cool how he flicks the pick

  • Van Halen

  • @greenie85 exactly what i was thinking

  • Anyone know what DVD this was taken from, and whether there is accompanying tab?

    Ben.

  • is that a ESP strat? amazing how he can use the standard series so well

  • @ikarisetsuDFO

Not a Standard ESP but a Custom Shop Snapper Takayoshi Ohmura "Gold".... 6000$

  • sounds like an epic intro to an anime >.<

  • ¡¡¡Muy buena la canción!!! Me gusta.

  • Japanese band ?

  • Aswell as being with Marty Friedman he also does a lot of solo stuff, and he was in a band called crosshard.

  • He has the post of the second guitar in the solo project of Marty Friedman...

  • this kid is only good with classic guitar!!!!

  • 0:36 I do that all the time :D

  • @KayC2SLO Kelly Simonz taught him.

  • about the van halen thing - i think its awesome that it sounds like that ! you dont see music the way it was played in the 80s anymore ... and neo classical or power metal or whatever you wanna call it sounding like that is awesome ... should see the video in which he shreds along with Gentaro Satumora

  • What band is he in? I just know who taught him...

  • Comment removed

  • @KayC2SLO Marty Friedman

  • @totokun1 he's in the band called "Marty Friedman"? XD

  • this song made my life!

  • That intro riff really reminds me of Evh's Panama

  • This could not sound more like Van Halen if he tried.

    lol they're "scalloped" :D

  • OMG how did his pants turn into his shirt!?

lol I noticed he has a lot more emotion in his playing than most shredders, and his style spans across multiple genres.

  • @RRtradestar He had to do something with his drapes.

  • HAPPY HAPPY NICENESS!

  • @rawrisimo XD

  • @Xx71loquendo23xX man, read his name ¬¬

  • I just tabbed out the intro and main riff, you can get it as a guitar pro 5 file at ultimate guitar /infectionsman

  • i love thi guy and to end this whole "race discussion" i've seen, i think the reason you see a lot of young awesome japanese players is because: young guitar is a japanese magazine and the best IMO; a lot of vintage awesome bands and guitarists started being huge in japan (deep purple and yngwie for example) and one of the very best guitar brands is japanese (ibanez) so i think they should be rather cheap over there.

i think thats the reason, not some genetic guitar chromosome :P

    NOT race :P

  • He's my favorite player!!

  • This shirt + These trousers (/watch?v=F0IeTYvwteQ) = Win.

  • Wow this song is just so catchy. If I played guitar I'd learn this song first ^_^.

  • hahahaha!!! its the asian panama!!!

  • You can see clearly Van Halen inspiration...Listen PANAMA of van halen and you'll see...

  • for that I don't have to listen to panama...

  • dude, that sounded ALOT like panama

  • haha..eddie style..;)

  • omg this guy is so great.. I guess that the most future famous guitar players will all be Japanese :P

  • @Kontlont i guess there is still hope for the other party if ONLY they will stop posing like dumb emo kids while playing their beloved guitar hero games and start picking up a guitar.. even a cheapo squier guitar is better than playing a guitar Hero

  • @Kontlont

    Jason Becker

  • hold on to your dick there is a million guitar players out there and there are not all asians

  • ITS VAN H...ASIAN?

  • why does he flip his pick around at 0:35?

  • it looked like he has a grip on that side

  • no its just logo coz its his custom pick and theres no rubber grip on it...

and hugodu88500 what was the point in your comment exactly?

  • stupid question, junyaYashiki

  • cuz look cool :D

  • This guy has great riffs. Nothing wrong with sounding like Edward. It's not like he copied anything. just a strong influence

  • Van Halen much?

  • magic

  • whwere can i get the tabs from this song ;p ?

  • i like his sound, great!!!!..... hope to jam with you some day....

  • Van halen!

  • he`s sound is better with the JCM800

  • This is very good work

Nice to see you play Mr Ohmura!

Less Impelliteri ,more Ohmura-great evh style song !

  • look at that picking : <<<<<< mee want

  • Yep all of his guitars are half scalloped and he is using Seymour Duncan pickups as well, awesome player

  • Is that a scalloped neck?

  • Looks like it is to me!

  • yes it is ^^

  • fantastic!!

  • i like the the way he play not only speed but he has a heart in playing!!!! i think he can play other genres .....

  • excellent

  • hah. Thats a very shiny guitar :)

  • the song sounds just like Panama by Van Halen.

  • It sounds also like Shining Moments by Galneryus ^^

  • oh you're right o.o

  • @CheeseGundam. You have such an negative attitude. You should commit suïcide. Seriously .kill yourself . Unless your a faggot. Even to weak to kill yourself?

  • butthurt?

  • Sounds like somthing Vito Barta would have played ;)

  • when i play, i always pick every note, it is very hard, but when you get it, its very beautiful like takayoshi did

  • fucking amazing song!! great!!!!!!!!

  • what a beautiful guitar !! what a great player !!

  • wooow AWESOME! 1:11 so stylish XD

  • takayoshi is so good, this song has more right hand picking than frets, its pure right hand, pure picking in a note.....that's very hard...

  • i love this riff

  • 0:35 sweet plectron switch

    great song by the way

  • I thought I was the only one who ever did that. Our bassist noticed me doing it during rehearsal one day and he asked me why I did that. I didn't even know I did it! LOL!!! This is a cool song. The chord progression reminds me a lot of Ronnie LeTekro

  • TABS???? SEND THEM TO ME IF U GOT

  • i dont think there r any, ive been searching 4 a while, u might have to go find some foriegn tab site, lol

  • u can have some of his tabs on Guitar Pro.

  • I agree =D

  • fck you FaggotGundam i know alot of ppl who can play just as good as this including me and learn most from tabs your just mad cuz u cant read tabs

  • your worse than a poser to me

    your a fkn jonas brother

  • super coolllllllllllllllllzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • Thats some sweet chord progression... That guy is really talented - not just as an instrumentalist but also as a musician. Check out his album Emotions In Motion - its awesome!

  • Voilà ... ce que j'ai toujours cherché..

  • god of guitar <3

  • amazing tone! i want hes pants.......oh and hes skills ^_^

  • ESP are the good brand what you must be talking about is the cheap affordable ESP's called LTD. ESP's like this are at least 2000 bucks. these are higher end models, so unless you've played the higher end models then you don't know how they play. Plus the Japanese play them because they're manufactured in japan.

  • his are customs, not production models. they are at least 4000$

  • yeah my bad but even the basic ESP models there are at least over 1000.

  • i tell you why.

this video'sDVD is appendix of YoungGuitarMagazine published in japan.

and the sponcor is ESP musical academy.

    Syu, Ohmura also graduated there.

    so,this video is just A.D

generally most of japanese this frnder is better ,suhr is best!

  • esp academy? all the students are rockers? cool!!!

  • yap. like a MI inUSA

  • @fuckinpleasure what is MI?

  • its not esp acadamy...its the jap mi esp acadamy is something else

  • omg sounds almost just like "PANAMA" van halen

  • yeah... kinda... but i think this riffs better... no?

  • how good the best, and what better upper

  • within the first 10 seconds i loved it

  • hes a fucking baddass! i bow to thee!

  • Wow, this guy comes up with some amazing melodies!

  • Very gut!

  • Wow, this kid makes Yngwie sound like FunTwo. And he makes FunTwo sound like Jimmy Page. And he makes Jimmy Page sound like me. And he makes me sound like you. Because you suck!

  • Interesting improv of "Panama."

    Kiseki means "miracle" btw.

  • Wow, holy crap, so he was inspired a bit by Panama. Get used to it. Everybody has influences. Listen to his other stuff. Very unique sounding and original.

  • Does anybody have the tabs for this?

  • Comment removed

  • can someone tell me where I can get the tabs please.

  • can you imagine if every song was completely different with no licks or riffs taken from or influenced by anybody elses songs ... wow, probably would not be much music out there then huh?

  • wise words ! also this isn't some kind of rip off, he just borrowed some ideas like the rythm section.....

    great guitar player anyways !!!

  • panama yeah?

  • Why is everyone saying that it sounds like panama, it isnt even close!

  • you should check your ears then lol

  • is it just me or has he ripped off panama a little , dont get me wrong this guy seems awesome... just at 1:11 he rips of the little harmonic bit from panama lol

  • yes but i think this is some what of a cover

  • around 0:35 does he trun his pick around or flip it, and at that why?

  • It's probably just a habit, but it could be useful I suppose. He might do it to fix his grip on the pick, or maybe it's that not having a preference on which side is held increases pick lifespans... because picks are very expensive...

  • Lol I don't think he cares about lifespans of picks.

  • yeah, i see it as a habit i do a simlar thing sometimes when i play as well

  • its not having a preference:P its just to dead the time :P making a vid like this seems cool but is not realy fun :P

  • picks are unbelievably expensive

  • sometimes with thinner picks, when you hold them tight, they cave in to finger pressure and have a slight bend to them, he was flipping his pick to make it more comfortable to play with.

  • that and after a while you some what lose a grip on the pick rather then readjusting it would be alot simpler to just flip it around.

happens to me at gigs when doing Harmonics like that

  • nice use of pick harmonics takayoshi :)

  • Van Halen's Panama much? Nice though.

  • "Van Halen's Panama much? Nice though."

I just looked up the song, and yeah, they are very similar.

  • yeah, very similar chords and rythem but its still a very noticable difference, the harmonics are really close though

  • please if anyone have tabs for it msg me

  • this is one of the most beautiful things i heard ever on guitar :) takayoshi freaking PWNS

  • Name me a song that doesn't sound similar, even in the slightest, to any other song. Sheesh, it's obvious he's referencing Van Halen here... so what?

It's not like he's covering Panama entirely. Grow some fucking dicks, 'tards.

  • no one here is complaining about the borrowed riffs from Panama, just pointing out the similarities...about time u change ur tampon.
