i'd rather see miku live than miley cyrus or justin bieber any day, real or not, i don't care if she's a holographic image or whatever she is, the music sounds good and its cool and looks fun, i'd love to see it in person
I never thought id see the day when people would be hate-in on poor little miku. a voice for a music creating program that has brought more jobs and creativity to the music industry then any real life singer ever could. vocaloid shows how amazing and creative the human imagination can really be with over 30,000 and growing original song. As i see it miku was made by the fans for the fans an is symbol of a great movement. call her fake if you want but ill support miku over any pop star. 39 FTW
I had this idea in the 1990's era but only in the form of getting images of the famous classic singers while they're still alive, and projecting them into the future to perform in more intimate settings. Not to say they couldn't in concerts like this.
This particular concept is just insane to me because that hologram is pure fiction. It shows people have lost the meaning of soul and spirit in music. Think about it, the creators of the icon reap all the intellectual property rewards.
@yeoqinmelody - I never thought of it that way. That's an interesting concept for sure, something like "filtered soul". Yes humans did create this performer, but it's not human, it's man made. Something else gives humans a soul and spirit, and humans are vehicles for it, not the source of it. The creation is soulless based on this premise since it is not a vehicle for the soul and spirit, merely a abstraction.
@studiosinger well, to me , it doesn't matter whether she is fake or real. i like her songs , which means i like the person who created this song and doesnt necessary means i like her.
@yeoqinmelody - well you may want to consider when a few computer whizzes can put together something synthetic it takes jobs away from those who would normally promote a larger operation of real performers. You may also want to take into consideration what this is doing to your mind. Will you be the kind of person who has sex with robots one day? Rather exterminate humans like rats then deal with human problems? Prefer the music of tech generated computers leaving real musicians to starve?
@studiosinger i dont think you know how many people it took to program her dancing for each song and then make it into a hologram. quite a bit more then a few.
@studiosinger however i understand what you are trying to say.you are just worried that people might be over reliant on computers too much that human have become useless? if that happens, i believe everyone would try harder to show their potential. But meanwhile, just let her sing. She hasn't done anything wrong towards the human race. Just let people enjoy her singing, although she might be fake. :)
Japan has a holographic pop singer. The rest of the world has the LHC.

@studiosinger to you she may just be a computer , but to her creators, she is something they have put their heart and soul on.
