Hahahahaha I kind of agree in a way. I just like to think of the wish granter as something that can't know exactly what we mean - can't make human decisions - as it isn't human. In your (Strelok's) asking, the wish granter attempts to provide it. Is the wish granter imperfect for providing not exactly what we want - or are we imperfect in asking for something we have no firm grasp on the outcome of meaning, or whole understanding? Just my thoughts.

I have very mixed feelings of these ending the Monolith double-crosses you and yet for your greed (Immortality rich apocalypse and power) you are punished but in this one you do something good for everyone but you get double crossed I think the Monolith is the embodiment of good and evil and its wishes are 50% of each you get it (good because it gives it you) for a price (evil becuase it takes soemthing you hold close/take for granted)

Actually I have seen all the endings first hand, but there are some things that I still can't figure out. Maybe I'm too dum to follow the storyline closely enough, I wouldn't be surpriced...
So from what I gather, if anyone is strong enough to get to the wish granter, they are a threat to c-consciousness. So the wish granter makes them not a threat. clever.
This ending is only bad for you - nobody else becomes blind, and Chernobyl is back to normal, making a bunch of people happy. Then again, this is probably the Brain Scorcher scorching.
I believe he got his "brains scorched", becoming a mere zombie. Just look at at his expression just before he opens his eyes... As a zombie, he probably doesn't even realize he is still in the zone and thus, in a way, the zone disappeared.. From his mind that is..
The monolith just plays tricks on you. It makes the player hear bird sounds, to see illusions such as this beautiful forest around him. It never makes wishes true. It just makes illusions and makes sure the player becomes harmless to the C-Consciousness. You can hear this long and loud sound of a horn.. that can be heard on lake Yantar before the brain-like device is shutdown. That could mark that player got "brains scorched".
That may be.. But personally, after seeing the other "bad endings" I believe he just got his brains scorched.. But one may believe whatever one wants.. But I'd love to know what really happened from the creators of the game.. But since this "long and loud sound of a horn" can be heard not only on this but in Lake Yantar too, I believe the player gets zombified.
Like I said, one may believe whatever one wants to but this is just my opinion. True, making player just blind kinda makes sense...

he wanted the zone to dissapear, so the monolith tricks him and teleports him to an area that resembles a paradise. then the monolith takes his sight, so he cant enjoy the paradise, therefore the monlith is a total bitch
When you take into account what the C-Consciousness "Spokesman" tells you befor the two alternative ("true") endings about how the wishgranter is another psi-field usued for their purposes - after you actually destroy the device that's creating the Monolith ilusion - and also consider the "I want to be rich" Monolith ending,
where a part of the ceiling comes down on Strelok and the Monolith is having him believe it's raining gold, then I would say, that in this ending, he's not teleported anywhere, but the Monolith let's him see what he asks for but actually just blinded him,
since it's not really a mysterious and magical alien artefact that grants you a special secret wish, but a machine built and maintained by C-Consciousness to get rid of any stalkers that make it to the center of the zone, thus getting too close to the secret labs.

its hard to explain, here it goes. the c-consciousness are a number of people hooked up to a machine and they control peoples minds,such as world leaders. a good example are the monolith group. the monolith group the wish granter and the brainscorcher are diversions so no one will know what the c-conscious is. their aim is to stop the expanding zone i think --- horrible spoiler, sorry!

The monolith just plays tricks on you. It makes the player hear bird sounds, to see illusions such as this beautiful forest around him. It never makes wishes true. It just makes illusions and makes sure the player becomes harmless to the C-Consciousness. You can hear this long and loud sound of a horn.. that can be heard on lake Yantar before the brain-like device is shutdown. That could mark that player got "brains scorched".

That may be.. But personally, after seeing the other "bad endings" I believe he just got his brains scorched.. But one may believe whatever one wants.. But I'd love to know what really happened from the creators of the game.. But since this "long and loud sound of a horn" can be heard not only on this but in Lake Yantar too, I believe the player gets zombified.
Like I said, one may believe whatever one wants to but this is just my opinion. True, making player just blind kinda makes sense...

This sound is psi voices,and this happening really in chernobyl(no wish granter),i mean that people going crazy,because of high radiation.

he wanted the zone to dissapear, so the monolith tricks him and teleports him to an area that resembles a paradise. then the monolith takes his sight, so he cant enjoy the paradise, therefore the monlith is a total bitch

Well, that's a theory, but I'd disagree.
When you take into account what the C-Consciousness "Spokesman" tells you befor the two alternative ("true") endings about how the wishgranter is another psi-field usued for their purposes - after you actually destroy the device that's creating the Monolith ilusion - and also consider the "I want to be rich" Monolith ending,

where a part of the ceiling comes down on Strelok and the Monolith is having him believe it's raining gold, then I would say, that in this ending, he's not teleported anywhere, but the Monolith let's him see what he asks for but actually just blinded him,

since it's not really a mysterious and magical alien artefact that grants you a special secret wish, but a machine built and maintained by C-Consciousness to get rid of any stalkers that make it to the center of the zone, thus getting too close to the secret labs.

its hard to explain, here it goes. the c-consciousness are a number of people hooked up to a machine and they control peoples minds,such as world leaders. a good example are the monolith group. the monolith group the wish granter and the brainscorcher are diversions so no one will know what the c-conscious is. their aim is to stop the expanding zone i think --- horrible spoiler, sorry!
