Bravo in the Pacific was about contaminating people with Nuclear Testing. Atmospheric Testing was a scientist, medical, and military fun thing to do back in the 50s. The water ways sent their contamination every in the Pacific Ocean where our food comes from. Deaths were in the millions upon millions. Did you all have a tuna sandwich recently? Or, ate anything from the sea? Have a happy slow death life, it's the policy making at the hand of a gavel, low, weak and safe guidelines of the AEC.
Mikesculthor1 you are so right my friend. I was 13 in 1962 living in the fla panhandle during the scary week of the Cuban Missile Crisis..We all thought, as we listened to the radio in my 8th grade Math class, that we might be all blown away. The Cold War was very real to you and me.. Great song and I remember it very well indeed.
You bet your life we weren't sheep in those days. This came out when I was at school, at a time when we seriously expected nuclear armaggedon to happen any day. It made us very politically aware. See also 'Come away Melinda'. There are various covers of it, personally I like the Weavers version.
It Seems people wasnt sheep in them days after all. Maybe thats why weve come as far as we have and the next generation are just waking up and when they have PARTY TIME LOL
