ED vs. radiology

A very good example why people are lazy :

Radiology could be defensive at times...but when their own colleague were admitted to ED..they get allllllllllllllll scan they need..

Example no 1:

Young Radiology dcotor with abdo pain - CT abdo - appendicitis (not ordered by ED)

Example no 2:

Radiology doctor's boyfriend was punch on the face - CT facial bone - NAD (again..was not ordered by ED)

For God sake, we all work together, trying to do our very well to make some human being feel better

When I was a tech, I loved getting called in stat for a HIDA only to find out the person had their gal bladder removed.

I actually had a patient to r/o appy and he (patient) told me his appendix was removed 5 years before!! LMAO!!

USS to outrule cholecystitis. Patient mentions while I'm doing the scan having had a cholecystectomy 15 or 20 years ago...happens me about once a month.
