I can't wait to see them with their new guitarist. i saw them before as a 3 piece and they didn't play any songs like healer that were written for 2 guitars, because here you can obviously hear something is missing and Andrew Elstner's 12 string through a marshall jmp will definitely add some hair to Torche's balls.
Great band and they seem like great guys too, so heavy and so melodic....without sounding commercial at all....they just know how to mix it ...great band :)
Look up i, fanblades. A great local Delaware band. Awesome live and just incredible. They're asking to move up. For those of you that enjoy bands like isis, boris, mouth of the architect, etc. An axe named de soto, great song by them.
ust saw these guys in Urbana and was very pleasantly surprised at how awesome they were. If fact, I preferred them to High On Fire who I was there to see. The drummer was a complete monster and they were really different from the other "loud" bands out there. By the way, Coheed and Cambria suck...are they even still around? and does anyone care?
i think they need some more smelly scalp foliage to be better, that's what they're missing. head and facial hair=metal. that's were all the heavy gorilla tits tone comes from.
@iisirish411 Well you probably went to see coheed and cambria and circa survive. Now those bands actually do suck, so I can see that you have no taste and thusly weren't impressed with an awesome band like Torche.
@COHEEDxWORLD After viewing your page, I can see that you are just a C&C fanboy that probably thinks every band is terrible compared them. I don't see the attraction. Torche is an amazing band, you're just too naive to understand that. No ones asking you to stop liking you're emotional music that helped you through your teens(if you are even passed them yet). Why are you even looking up Torche if you think they are bad? Just to troll?
@iisirish411 I saw them with coheed and circa as well, when torche came on all I heard were terrible screaching noises from the guitars and bad singing....everyone in the audience was flipping them off
FLOOR, is so badass too. a lot of torches music is previously unfinished floor music. which is why they sound so much alike. not to mention 2 of the 3 members were in floor.
@taylorromeo Steve Brooks is the only one that was a member of Floor. When Anthony left Floor, Steve brought in Juan on guitar, but only for a couple of practices before they disbanded. Juan did go on to play with Torche for the first three releases but is not longer in the band.
Also something like 7 or 8 of the 10 songs on Torche's debut were written with Floor. You can even hear a live recording of Floor playing Charge of the Brown Recluse on the Below and Beyond boxset.

Torche needs that second guitarist back, the songs sound weird without it.
