  • arnt those like ferrari f430 door handle

  • I bought my CRZ the first week it went on sale in the U.S. and am still thrilled by it a year and half later. I only spend $30 a week on gas after averaging 45 mph and 42.5 mpg. after 20,000 miles. I probably drive it in normal mode 80% of the time and 10% in ecomony and 10% in sport. With the gas mileage I get there isn't a need to drive it in economy mode all though that day of $5 gal may be coming. All I can say is fantastic job Honda !

  • This car was great idea on paper, just flat on its face when it was released.

I like the front bumper of the concept model

  • Chevy will never be better than the Japanese car. But there is a way that they could be much more better.. They need to get rid of the unions that have the choke hold on GM. there is no way GM can more ahead until they take that chain off there neck. Then GM will be the leader again. But until then GM will always be 4th to 5th on the list

  • If i drive it in an economic prius kind of way i get 4.5 L on 100 km. (1:23 l/km- ish. ) ( easy on the lead foot and stick to the right with 100 km/h on a mostly highway route. When i drive it in sports mode, and more importantly, I accelerate more powerful, I still average 6.3l on 100 km. (1: 16 l/km-ish )

So i find it ideal. I dont always want to have an economic car and I dont always need a sportive car (when I use it for work i get a set amount of € p/km ). Best thing: Love the interior

  • Ugliest SHIT ever made, just as bad as toyota's cars.

  • @WolverineNerd

Apparently people just LOVE to buy ugly, shit cars then? Look up the car sales. Toyota is giving GM a run for their money in sales. While Honda is the 3rd largest car manufacturer in the world.

Bad cars? Yeah, right. The millions of Toyota and Honda cars on the road today make it pretty clear they are anything but.

  • @medz91xc ??? Honda is not the 3rd largest, I believe they're 8th. VW, Ford, Nissan, Hyundai are all ahead of em.

  • Comment removed

  • @musicmanvin1

Theres a bunch of websites that overlap each other and contradict each other as well. So i dont think we'll get a definite answer.

  • @medz91xc Say what you want but at lesat GM is giving honda a run for its money and don't worry give General Motors time, they will be back on top where they should be. Toyoto SUCK SHIT and Honda eats SHIT

    Chevrolet All The Way.

  • @WolverineNerd

"GM is giving Honda a run for its money". Do you realize how sad that sounds? The company that pretty much lead the automotive industry for nearly 100 years trying to chase down Honda, a company that only started to make cars in the 60's.

I think thats embarrassing. The sales show that to be true.

And Toyota? Yeah, the Camry is the best selling car in the United States. Ranked number 1 in automobile production in the world.

Looks like GM is the one in the dumps. Literally.

  • anyone else patiently waiting to hear more about the supercharger kit mugen has in development? about 200HP from a bolt on, and apparently you'll get 50mpg.

  • @musicmanvin1 I thought that was just a concept. Not too sure about the 50mpg, I read that on the Top Gear website and UK gallons are larger than US gallons, not to mention most of the mpg increase probably came from all the weight reduction from the carbon fiber body panels.

  • @Jakeness21 Ya, it was a concept, but it cost too much for production. I did read that they'll release a Mugen SC CRZ in the UK making 170HP, not sure why it's down 30hp from the concept tho : / I think the fuel savings came from the fact that Mugen completely remapped the ECU and kept ECO and Sport modes.

  • It's a CRX just made electric

  • @MniAK0 Let's put it this way: if you drive it in Sport mode, it needs some more fuel but it is enjoyable to drive, if you want to spare fuel you switch to Economy and chill out. In Europe it is not more expensive than similar non-hybrid cars, I don't know about other countries...I do know though, that I crossed Germany driving between 100 and 110mph in Sport mode and I still made a very respectable 31mpg, with the batteries always providing a nice boost when accelerating, even at high speed! :)

  • it looks really really good... but the back looks like shit.... and i'm sorry for that

  • Probably the only thing that i don't like about the Cr-z Concept is the tail lights the rest is good the one now is way better, but there's still some problems that it has and that is the lack of mileage, I mean if Honda wants a sport HYBRID then i has to at least get 40mpg, i mean like the focus is better then this and it costs less, you get the most of your money, the IMA may be Ok, but like a said the focus beats the mileage and the power, if this was a class Honda needs to step it up.

  • i like the concept car a lot more -.-

  • 0:40 and where can I get my hands on THAT! one?

  • muy PIOLA!!! , SOLO para buenos GUSTOS !...

  • Nice dude!

  • can i noe wat is the name of music for this video?

  • I love the styling .

  • ¤like]¤

  • Anyone who have this car STRONGLY recommend it for some one looking to buy it? I'm not sure about it only being a two seater in the US. I'd like to drive a couple friends around, but I really want this car. I don't know.

  • It's sexy. Inspired by lotus. Honda knows.

  • Darn I wish there were sub-titles :(

  • Are those blue headlights and rear lights standard?

  • new cars are ugly there to round and rammed full of pointless addons

  • I'm in love with this car!!! Sponsors please hahaha

  • The alloy rims on the prototype @2:00 are awesome! I wonder if you can get those factory on the car.

  • THE AFTER-MARKET PARTS WILL FIX WHAT WE REALLY WANT TO SEE FROM THE CR-Z.....

  • en blanco se ve mejor

  • esto si es una carro

  • The video doesn't give you the real feeling of this shit. I saw it today at Honda showroom at Toronto. The ugliest car ever made. So sick. I vomited out my last night dinner.

  • @synbest which dealer hav it for test drive?

  • Get the audio from this tune at tubepull doht cohm.

  • on board mpg indicator is off, real calculation gives better mpg, test repeated several times, with consistent results.

  • these nerds look so badass

  • is this going to happen this year?....

  • @SuperExpressway

the CR-Z has already been released in the US for some time now, if thats what you are referring to.

  • I think they should have put a civic si engine in it.

  • I actually like it. It's nice. It has this modern-ish feel to it. :)

  • japan- year 2020

  • AAAAm.... Tokamashiko AAAAmm. Koudova..... Aaaam...... Hasolokaprato. Aaaaam mutiousnAAam. Nonsuno kodumo sounds like am a. Aaaaaam..... Katschio pataroma Aaaam. Aaaam... AAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!

  • We Have One

  • im a honda fan, i drove it and have to admit citroen ds3 is more fun to drive and has crisper steering, but those mods are fun, u drive in normal and dont change the pressure on gas, than switch to sport and everyhing changes, sound and car accelerates itself, without changeing pressure on the gas. so funny)

BUT i think its too expensive and hella inpractial 8( only 2 usable seats, can seat in the back AT ALL!

by the same size i would pick ds3 over crz any day.

  • i love the auddi head light look on new cars !

  • Did Honda go from the CRX to the CRZ? What happened to the CRY?

  • @avlisk there is no CRY bro ..i think it will be weird if the name of honda's car is cry (crying) ..

  • car would look better as a 4 door in my opinion, or at least a coupe...love it though!

  • I own an 8th gen honda civic and i will stand by it over this hybrid any day. I have

yet to see one on the streets here. how do you justify a 2 seater that is gutless and only churns out 33 or so mpg? Styling? Well, about that, im waiting for the non-hybrid version to come out but only if they have back seats.

This hybrid, imo, sucks...lost potential, lost CRX fan base.

  • sexy ass honda

  • overall, a great car, Honda makes the best cars. But the numbers (MPG and acceleration) are somewhat disappointing.

  • my dad got this car about 2 weeks ago. And i must say, the handling is superb and driving the car is pure fun. And there is a noticeable difference between the modes, and of course I favorite the sport. Overall a beautiful and good performing car, with a good price tag too.

  • @Yaroawesomepants Nice man, that a very good car, i'll buy it very soon ! :)

  • Volvo redesigned the front ends of their vehicles, and passed on the old design to Honda to put on this car. Very attractive, but completely uninspired. And the grille, I can't tell if it's Mazda-smiley, or Audi.

  • hey!

Why are comparing New Honda CR-Z to Mini & Lotus?

Mini & Lotus are german cars. Seriously?

Honda is nothing like Mini & Lotus.....

  • @krazyfrazyJ They aren't comparing. They just bought them to test if it had a sporty feel. But performance-wise, everyone obviously knows who wins. They bought the mini for the eco mode of the car, but they bought the Scirocco to compare to their car to. I bet the Scirocco is better since it isn't a hybrid and sports car in one. I'm pretty sure if Honda removed the "green" part of the car, it would perform a lot better.

  • @krazyfrazyJ AUhauahu but remember Lotus it's english :D

  • very dissapointing. its a golf cart designed to give the illusion of a car.

  • the front really resembles an audi R8 and the "futuristic" bmw hybrid.

  • @azxzn I thought that exact same thing too. That's the part that appeals to me. I think the rear kind of kills the car's looks though.

  • @weinerschnitzelboy i agree; it is still a pretty sick car regardless of the rear.

  • I dont get it. i drive a honda cr-x HF. i get extremely good fuel economy and its stone age technology....if technology has improved so much than why doesnt the cr-z have better fuel economy?? i mean it does, but it should be way better than 39 mpgs

  • I did drive one of these this week, I liked how it handled, if the dealer would come off sticker price I would have bought one right then.

The only thing I don't understand is why we can not get all the colors they show in other video's, they only offer white, black, a blueish silver and a lighter blue.

I think they look great in red, but it's not available according to honda's sight.

  • How does a Lotus Elise compare with a CR-Z. And how does this thing have the desirable performance, it only has a 10 second 0-60, which is very slow. It might be a better handler than the CRX but it is not faster. 10 second 0-60 is just pathetic for today's standards. An 8 second 0-60 would be acceptable. I really like the look of this car, but it is so stupid they didn't make an Si of it. And for that they've really missed out.

  • @esca8652. yeah?

comparing CR-Z to Mini & Lotus?

    Seriously?

Honda is nothing like Mini & Lotus.

  • @esca8652

The old CRX might even have a better handling, I suppose. The CRX is really lightweight, has a double-wishbone-suspension. The new CRZ only has conventional McPherson struts like most cars todays, as it's cheaper to produce.

Bolt some 195/50-15 tires under your CRX and you outbeat the CR-Z performancewise in every single aspect.

  • I love this car.

  • Can I has it?

  • It looks exactly like a Volvo C30 ...

  • they would probally make alot more money if the thing actually looked like a crx

  • @poopyoofa You are fired.

  • @poopyoofa it actually does look like a crx......

  • Great video.. come join other CR-Z enthusiasts at CRZTuners . com

  • This isn't Honda Engineering's fault but I wish someone would edit out all the non-car sequences from this video. I dont care about general shots of roads and buildings. Also, just make the captions over video of the car.

  • my my are those audi lights?

  • it has the crx shape (in better looks) a honda engine (that you can trust) stylish interior (that blows you away) economy (that can give you also power and mpg/kmpl) and a heart of a japanese (that tells you use me till the end)......now thats something we all like.....

p.s why dont you all haters try it first??i will even im not a hater but a lover.....

  • No matter what the performance is like, the back end of this car is ugly. Shame as the front looks very nice.

  • Honda is going all out in what it does best - economic, compact, and environmental. So I dont know why you ricers associated Honda with racing performance.

  • @v10moped OMG! several F1 championships, as a constructor and engine supplier ...developing the NSX with Ayrton Senna, in the Indy Car powered six consecutive drivers championships before being the only engine supplier (because Honda made and makes the best engines) Honda-powered cars overwhelmingly dominated the IndyCar Series, winning 14 of 16 IndyCar races, including the Indianapolis 500, and claimed the IndyCar Series Manufacturers' Championship, and Drivers' Championships.. enough?

  • @casoig Okay you got me there with the NSX. I have respect for that car. but thats about it for Honda. I guess what I meant to say is, I don't know why ricers keep thinking their little vtec hatchbacks are something special.

  • eeeerh....i hate the way these gentlemen speaks, doesn't sounds like their trying to ensure us its a good car...-_-

  • tht is one ugly car.

  • @TheIcebreaker21 WHAAAAA?

  • Pheh, why they did not put a direct injection engine in it? It has worse highway mileage than a non-hybrid 2011 Fiesta!

  • Honda was amazin in 90s

  • f this hybrid crap, i will take a vw diesel any day!, better fuel economy and bettttttttttttttttttttttttter torque by a million times. F U HONDA ;)

  • @rg0r VW? HAHA

  • @rg0r VW is a piece of shit. My uncle had 2 VW's and both broke down a few years down the line. The 1996 Honda Civic they had with 400,000 kms outlasted both VW's.

  • @rg0r Who drives VW lol! People make funny of that, and mainly bugs bunny drives it. Give me a real car like Hitlers Mercedes, Porsche or a BMW not a bugs bunny car in VW. I'd still choose Honda over FolksWagon

  • at least it's better than the u.s. accord...

  • I'm sorry, but this car is just lost in translation. There is absolutely NO point to buying the CR-Z. It's economically inefficient, cramped, gets 4 mpg more than a 4 door civic which also has twice the space and more HP. This is all coming from a Honda fan. I've owned 3 Hondas with my current one being an RSX-S. Honda I'm sorry, but you've lost me as a future customer with the horrid lineup of cars you have available. The Civic Si is slow. Hondas 2010 + lineup ='s FAIL!

  • @JJ388JAr that's right, because you have nothing intelligent to say. This car is beautiful AND it's a hybrid. Improvements are always going to follow, so shut up and drive a hybrid

  • @JJ388JAr gay and soft? There is a REASON for driving a hybrid - so you can fucking breathe! Read a BOOK, educate yourself

  • Typical Look at the backside of this car at 1:01 / 3:08

THATS HOW IT SHOULD HAVE LOOKED

but that was the prototype design CONCEPT

and thats how it always goes...cool design concepts get messed up in the end

  • @mariarts .. I agree, the rear end looked way better before.

  • Maaan, why are cars so cheap in the states? The CR-Z will cost from 26k to 29k USD in european countries but it'll start at just over 20k in the US. That's just not fair.

  • @capitoni well there are more wealthy us residents than the entire europe, usa is a big big country a lot more customers and lower taxes.

  • @capitoni , malaysia 's civic is selling 40k USD. ==

  • @allessioz - CR-Z is $22k New!!

  • its too expensive to own a car in singapore. its around 100k here man.. :(

  • in italia it cost 21000 Euro

  • i want one

  • Super Cool Exterior + Super Cool Interior + Hybrid + Honda....

ULTIMATE CAR. Losers stay away... go buy yourselves with the same money an A3, Mini Cooper S, Scirocco etc. Stay away from this piece of art!

  • Great looking car. Best in white and best to look at in dark places or at night.

  • @Hysterlc

All cars look better at night cause the contrast of the reflection is more intense at night. LOL. Just park on the top of the mall's parking structure and leave at night. All the cars would look like they're new.

  • it's been out in japan for more that a month now and people say that in eco-mode it easily goes above 50 mpg...

  • @KilluaXIII

REALLY!? TELL ME THIS IS TRUE.

Cause i've heard it got 33mpg. Freakin broke my heart when i heard that. SHOOT i just might buy one now. I was like...33mpg? that's the same as my 2010 honda civic. sheesh.

Link me up where you got that info. I need to see that with my own eyes.

  • @factionxvt408x city mpg might very well be 33 with sports-mode on, but the official numbers on the japanese and german honda-homepages are: 39mpg city/47mpg average/54mpg highway in NORMAL-mode. economy-mode should give a bump of around 5. europe gets the cr-z in 2 month so expect a lot of information by then

(plus a lot depends on how you drive)

p.s.: people should stfu until they've at least test driven the car

  • @KilluaXIII

Wow cool Thanks! I'm getting this! Do you have the price too? I guess I can give my sister my civic when i get this...well, if it is reasonably priced.

  • @factionxvt408x in japan it's being sold for 27k$ right now. in the u.k. it'll start for 26k$ in a month but the price will keep sinking because the production cost for the battery it uses is sinking dramatically

  • NEVER trust the posted MPG´s they have on the windshield. My 2008 Honda 2 dr DXG can only manage 30mpg. I ALWAYS drive in nuetral down hill and never gun the gas but slowly build speed. with that I could only manage 30mpg. so this business of 54mpg is highly questionable. Even the Honda dealership I bought from told me that the rating is not based on anything near real world driving conditions. The crz sacrifices size to accomodate mediocre fuel economy.

  • @KilluaXIII I just bought one, drove my first 500km with an average fuel consumption of 43.5 mpg...pretty fine if you think that I crossed the Alps between Switzerland and Italy, therefore reaching 1600 metres above the sea level before going down again. This car is not for racing, the batteries run out too soon for that, but if driven properly it gives quite some pleasure for short sporty driving!

  • @KilluaXIII the German gallon unit of measurement is different than the American measurement system.

  • @TRDBaron dude, you need neither tuning nor an ecu change. that's what the sports-mode is for! did you even check all the new functions? i mean enhanced engine response and 174NM from 1000rpm in a car that weights 1210kg with fuel AND driver. does that really sound weak?

  • @KilluaXIII You're right that 174NM from such a low rpm is good for this lightweight car but that initial torque doesn't tell the whole story. It's a bit like VTEC in reverse, lot of oomph off the line then power falling as you rev to redline. At the end of the day it does no better economy than the 2.2CDTi Civic and it performs much slower. Further you must also take into account once you've loaded it up with 4 adults and luggage the performance hit is even worse percent wise...

  • @KilluaXIII People who suck at math and engineering comprehension do not like Hondas. No wonder.

  • @KilluaXIII It does sound weak, I would still rather put a k20 in it. :)

  • @srrybunny well, the K20A from the jdm type r paired with the IMA would definitely be sick and make a craaaazy powertrain with like 240ps and 280nm output, but all I'm saying is that the CR-Z is already pretty good the way it is, since it's veeeery light

  • This will be a great car, i guess.... I personally, would buy one... IT'S AMAZING!!!!

  • sorry but i dont think many people will buy that crz.....no offense to any crz fan but this car is only small hybird and small sport car and plus its 2 seater....... 122 hp i think with 6 speed manual and automatic........ honda can do better than that just to fix the crx or crz horsepower but the looks is great......it will be use for a collection car if people buy it

  • I wish this car incorporated more mpg, like 60 for hybrid.

  • omg that is so beautiful... I want one!

  • 120HP 6500 rpm boring !

    I need a new crx ee8 vtec with 250 ps and 9500 rpm !

  • What an awesome car!

    Good job Honda!

  • scirocco killer

  • I'm curious about how this thing's performance compares to my 22 year old CRX Si. I'd like to see 22 years worth of evolution in the performance and refinement.

  • the back looks like a damn prius but the interior and front is sexy

  • whoever says drive american cuz theyre better is a fucking redneck LOL

  • coming to a Honda dealer near you in June, 2010!!!

  • i drive a honda and it never break down on me! woohoo! true!

  • @blazzing4321 wow, you must be a janitor or a garbage man. see, from studying engineering in germany i know that german manufacturers are biting their nails in frustration because japanese manufacturers lead the world in dependability, quality and technology(and honda probably makes the most reliable cars)

concerning the CR-Z i can say that it will be very special and impossible to understand as a car by just looking at numbers. i get the feeling that the test-drive will be a shocking experience

  • In all honesty, Japanese auto makers always know what they're doing. They know they're in a critical market right now and they can't lose it. It's gonna be fun to drive, most most likely and will give great fuel economy.

It will not however make the hard-core drivers happy, but I can really really predict an "SI" version of this car coming in maybe a year or two :)

Maybe they'll supercharge or turbocharge the hybrid engine (lol)

  • I'm not a hardcore fan of any make but, how can you be stupid enough to say that an american car is more reliable than japanese. (sorry for the "stupid" but i couldnt find another word)

  • not as good as your momma. You must be a fan boy of some type because honda definatly does not suck

  • Yes, honda does suck.

Because japan makes crappy ass cars.

    Ugly and unreliable.

My advive: drive german or american :)

  • Don't ever compare German cars with the shitty American.

  • when did cars became racist lol.

  • I was really hoping for an electric model. Put a 50kw engine within each of the four hubs and you'd have AWD traction control with no drivetrain losses. 200kw at the wheels *sigh*. Perhaps they'll build one someday.

  • only 122 HP?! thats it?!

  • uhhuh, but with 174Nm of torque all of which starts from very very low down in the rev range. It should be a hoot to drive!

  • scirroco , old crx , face of audi w leds ,bmw antenna , now we have crz .
