  • Daws Butler tried NOT to directly imitate Bert Lahr's voice, but when Lahr saw the Kellogg's Cocoa Krispies ads that Snagglepuss began appearing on in 1961, he did indeed threaten to sue everyone involved. Hanna-Barbera, Kellogg's and their ad agency placated Lahr by giving Butler voice credit at the end of those commercials {"Snagglepuss voice by Daws Butler"}, so viewers would know it WASN'T Bert- the ONLY time a voice-over actor was given screen credit in an animated commercial.

  • Awesome job

  • Snags' voice was modeled after Bert Lahrs' Cowardly Lion. It is written that Lahr was not pleased and even tryed to sue

  • Great work.

  • "Heavens to you-know-what...I'm stunningly detailed in 3-D!"
