'Cap in hand' refers to all money being dispersed by the London parliament, at the approval of MPs largely from another country.

strictly speaking - the picture is of Kisimul Castle IN Castlebay, Isle of Barra, looking towards the island of Vatersay. I agree with the "spots"!

The pic is Castlebay on the island of Barra. An O Grade is an educational qualification. You get them at about 14. Like spots.
