  • Cap in hand is about the fact that wot yoowin2 is sayin that The Proclaimers wrote this song when the Tories where in Charge in London & that they can't understand Y Scotland has 2 take it's orders from another Country & of course the Line i can understand y Stranrer lie so lowly they can save alot of points by Signing Hibs Goalie (the Proclaimers r of course Hibs Fans so they were sitckin it in there 4 when they were at Easter Road the fans cud sing along 2 it)

  • Serene is nice, peaceful and quiet, with a hint of elegance in there too.

I don't think they are saying it is nice to say Saskatchewan, merely that they can.

The song is a political one - they are saying that they are reasonably educated, discerning etc but they can't understand why Scotland continues to be governed from London. 'Cap in hand' refers to all money being dispersed by the London parliament, at the approval of MPs largely from another country.

  • I can't understand either.

  • it is to show that we are human beings, we can do all the same things as other countries but, "i can't understand why we let someone else rule our land" the song is about independence.

  • strictly speaking - the picture is of Kisimul Castle IN Castlebay, Isle of Barra, looking towards the island of Vatersay. I agree with the "spots"!

  • The pic is Castlebay on the island of Barra. An O Grade is an educational qualification. You get them at about 14. Like spots.
